  1. ^ $17.99 adult, $9.99 children before tax, all you care to eat, but includes Coke Freestyle, do it yourself, unlimited refills! Desserts, ice cream, cobblers, pie, cake. Not a bad deal if you compare to what you would pay for just a burger fries and a drink.
  2. I took my 6yr old daughter, that just barely made the 48" mark, on MIllennium Force during the 4th of July weekend! She loved it! She loves going fast, her reaction after the ride..."I couldn't even talk!" Just pull the seatbelt as tight as you can get it! I pretty much watched her the entire time, expressions on her face, the restraint and seat belt, had my arm going across the front of her. Have her get in the train first so she is on the same side as the camera in the last tunnel, less chance of being blocked by someone's hands if you aren't in the front seat. We sat right behind the front seat.
  3. 2012jarrett....good job on the weight loss! Such a great feeling when you sit in the seat and feel the difference from all the hardwork you put in to get yourself there! Great trip report!
  4. Great quick trip report! Glad you had a great time and ride the coasters for what they are! You gotta have a good mix of coasters and CP definitely has a great variety....and one good woodie! I can't wait to hit up Kings Island next year with Fast Lane and experience what everyone has with all the riding! I know CP well enough to know the pattern of when and what to ride...so i don't get it there.
  5. ^ The merge point is different this year for MF! You now merge at the base of the ramp leading to the station, with the "regular line"! So you might only get 6 to 1 now Maverick's FL line enters the queue building right by the Antique cars and uses the left side of the stairs and the regular line uses the right, and you merge at the top of course. I plan on getting FL+ at Kings Island next year since I have never been!
  6. Definitely wait later in the day to ride MF for it to be hauling butt over those hills! I wish they never put those lights on the trains of GK.....please dont use the name "Gatie". We all pretty much knew how it would turn out, didnt we!?!? It was a good idea, but probably one of those that should have been left on paper, especially for a park known for letting these types of things fall to the wayside.
  7. What you have done already looks pretty much like the actual ride, being that they are down a lot!
  8. I think it would just have to be taller than Alpengeist for it to be considered the tallest inverted, if thats what it is. Wicked Twister, from what I've always heard, is the tallest impulse coaster.
  9. ^Nice! I wouldn't consider myself fat, or a lot of the other people i have witnessed not being able to ride! My issues are my shoulders and height. An extra inch of belt would go a long ways!
  10. Wicked Twisters belts are a joke! No reason for them to be THAT SHORT! I've seen a lot of people that should be able to ride, not fit because of the extremely short belt!
  11. Whatever happens in Maverick's tunnel is directly related to where the train ahead of it is in the block. In my experiences, I have come to a complete stop then advanced to the launch after a short pause, crawled veeeerrrry slowly then launched, and slowed just a little then took off like a bat out of hell! I preferred being slowed just a little so there was no break in the action!
  12. I have read on another forum of someone doing the upgrade after buying the regular Fast Lane. But you run the chance of it selling out since those are more limited in the amount they sell.
  13. Just for the fact that you are only going once this year, i would get Fast Lane Plus! You will be able to get a lot of rides on all those! Wicked Twister isnt included in Fast Lane.
  14. Only thing i can think of for "manual launch" would be no sounds or lights. Brakes release, train rolls back a little to engage launch sled, then you're gone!
  15. Not sure if its against the rules, but i always do it while advancing into the station. Raptor at Cedar Point.....if a train is in the station and we stop right behind it, i will pop my seat belt off to be ready to go. I have never had anyone say not to. I mean its obvious on Raptor if your seatbelt is undone, with it just dangling there. It's not like you are going to be sent out again, or not be able to re-fasten if needed.
  16. CoasterKyle Has CP changed their re-ride policy if no one is waiting for the row you are in this year? On slow days, morning ert...etc.
  17. ^ They have dis' ability to get rich people to give them a lot of money to skip the lines at Disney!
  18. I think Cedar Point nailed it with the type of roller coaster they selected to make their front gate statement! The huge trains, over exaggerated elements and the gracefulness and silence in which it travels through the course makes it total eye candy for everyone entering the park. The GP will eat it up! Like I said earlier, it's a great ride! I Enjoyed it very much, but i crave a little more intensity and speed. I think 30-45 minutes would be the tops I would wait in line for it.
  19. Anyone expecting extreme forces or airtime on a Wing Coaster is setting themselves up for disappointment! Ive been on GateKeeper and enjoyed it, but it probably sits in the number 5 spot on my favorite coaster list at Cedar Point. I'm still heading for Maverick for morning ERT!
  20. My wife has worn them on all coasters at CP as well!
  21. Any rumors floating around on the "BIG Surprise" that is being revealed at the end of SnoopyCON? Another big box of chocolate chip cookies perhaps? I havent been to the park so i don't know if there is a big present looking box on display like at Cedar Point a few years back celebrating Snoopys birthday.
  22. One more thing....Print out your receipt for your proof of renewal payment and have it with you for insurance! I do that every year i renew for those just incase moments. Never had any issues, but better to be safe than sorry!
  23. You should be good! All you are doing is paying for another year, nothing else is required through Dorney. We renewed our platinum passes for Cedar Point online last year and visited Michigans Adventure first with no issues!
  24. ^ I'm all for that! Mean Streak is secluded on the other side of the train tracks, so they could be working on it during the season. I dont think many people would miss it, if they see whats going on! Add some height to the lift hill, make it the "est" of all the categories of every hybrid out there! It would be interesting to watch the transformation as the season went on, then seeing the finished product on the next seasons opening day. I hope Cedar Point is keeping an eye on the six flags projects with RMC!
  25. Visiting the parks while they are not able to ride nothing more than the kiddie rides is a great start! They get to see everything in action for a very long time, seeing smaller kids getting off the roller coasters smiling and laughing. Show them POV videos on YouTube. When they are big enough, if they are hesitant with going on a roller coaster, use a little "reward" for riding, like playing some midway games or going to the arcade after the coaster. Anything to keep the tears from flowing. If they agree to it, get in line, point out other little kids waiting to ride as well. When you get to the station and getting ready to get on, if they have a meltdown try and calm them down and remind them of the "reward" for riding. If that doesn't work, exit the station, don't force them on, but don't do the "reward" because they will think they will always get it regardless if they ride or not. Offer it again a little later in the day! My 5yr old son did great with that last year! He was hesitant with some, but ended up riding his biggest coaster with my wife, Magnum XL-200! Bought the priceless picture! By the end of our trip, HE pulled me onto Blue Streak for our last ride of the season! That was awesome! I don't think we will have this issue with our daughter, who is the same age as our son, but about 2 inches shorter. She is a RIDER!
