  1. for you fulltimers at SFSTL, anything exciting happening around the Park lately??
  2. Visited the Park yesterday... very nice weather for Dec 22nd. The park looked very good wearing it's Holiday attire. I checked out the former Tidal Wave Site and noticed once again Boomerang was not running. ...I have yet to see that coaster function (I don't visit that often). Anyhow it got me wondering, with TW now removed and with an additional removal of Boomerang that would offer a nice plot of land for a Raptor or a nice Grand Entrance and Station for a new Signature Steel Coaster to be built off to the East. Just chewing the fat here Folks.
  3. Okay okay... it's the location of the Station of our next Coaster right??? haha
  4. Great news in the Carousel ... Bye bye Tidal Wave. Hope 2021 brings something well overdue.
  5. The recent wind storms knocked down the Ninja! ????
  6. Got an update on Xcalibur, any word on Tidal Wave? staying or going???
  7. ^ American Thunder always delivers an excellent ride, best coaster at the Park
  8. I understand why they did it. They had to modify it for rider enjoyment and to keep maintenance to a minimum. It is a 20 year old coaster now and needed to be tamed, as most wooden coasters that age. Now The Screamin Eagle is an exception to that rule - Strong, Fast and Powerful as always.
  9. I rode the Boss Saturday, first time in about 4 years. It is much tamer than it used to be for sure. The First Drop is still very good. The Mid-Course Trim Brakes brings the train to a severe halt (probably due to the shortened track) and it just barely creeps over the 3rd hill. The 2nd half of the ride is not very interesting at all, especially without the Helix. The ride may not cause the headaches and bruises like it used to but at a cost. It's just not fun anymore.
  10. I would think they did this to lessen the chance of someone getting injured and avoiding potential lawsuits. ie. Lessons learned with Son Of Beast.
  11. Like how? Can't imagine what else you could use it for. Moon Cars. The current track is too wide and considering most of it or at least half of it (current track) will be removed, I can't see that happening.
  12. Like how? Can't imagine what else you could use it for.
  13. Any idea how they will landscape the area once all the Concrete from the track is removed?
  14. Comparing SFSTL to Knotts!??? just can't be done.
  15. ^^^ and The Boss' queue as well. Every park needs an Amphitheater though.
  16. it's a simple re-theming of Xcalibur to Cat Woman or Lasso of Truth, ...or something. That's my guess.
  17. A giant litter box for the kiddies to play in.
  18. What would frustrate me is if any proceeds, money earned from SFSTL, would go to another park. ie. keeping Magic Mountain up to par with 'The Jones' in LA. I would hope that doesn't happen. I often wonder if our Park would be better off owned Locally.
  19. That's SFSTL's budget at work, or lack thereof
  20. I'd would be surprised if it comes back at all at this point.
  21. Reopen Excalibur and Tidal Wave and advertise them as new rides
