On a Tuesday...when their coasters haven't run at full capacity in many years. Sounds legit! No it's legit. I was also there on the 5th. Tatsu was running both sides of the station. The only ride that was only running one train while I was there besides Ninja was Scream. Being it was my first time there I'm not sure how a normal Tuesday crowd looks, but the parking lot was packed at 2pm from what I saw from the top of Drop of Doom.

Definately hit the Superman side first as Superman can get a long line on the right day. Medusa has been a walk on for me every time I have gone including weekends. As for the animal attractions it depends what you like. My last visit we went to the cirque splashtastic show and I walked out because it bored me. But that's just me. Drench is a good dolphin show. I haven't seen any of the other shows so maybe someone else can chime in on them. But the exhibits are cool to check out if you've never been to the park.

If I'm at one of my usual parks, CGA or SFDK I tend to only go on slow days so I can maximize my fun. But if it happens to be busy, I won't wait more than an hour. As far as going to parks I've never been to or don't get a chance to frequent I tend to get the flash pass/fastlane/whatever that particular park calls it. If I'm going to be somewhere I've never been I want to experience all the rides that I'm looking to and don't want to leave the park bummed, because I was not able to get on a coaster that I wanted to.

This is one of those important details that is really good to know. Any idea which rides open when? Or where to find that info? Thanks! The last few times that I got to the park at opening , everything in the back of the park was opened at the same time as the front. I believe they stopped doing delayed openings last season.

Are they the newer intamin OTSR's? Because those didn't seem to be a problem for me at Busch Gardens a few months ago. I believe they are considered the newer ones. I've never seen anyone with a problem on it. Goliath should be no problem either. On X2 you're fine as long as the seat isnt broken, some of them dont go up and only fit small people, but even then you can just pick a different seat usually. If you're also really tall you may have trouble fitting into Gold Rusher's train, that's the only one I can think of. Now that you mention it I think SFMM's rides are pretty accommodating to larger guests. I cant really remember ever seeing someone get the walk of shame. Maybe Batman depending on how big you are, I've seen it on Flight Deck which has the same restraints. Thanks man. I've had zero problems with flight deck, just fits a little snug. Now can anyone describe what the weekday crowds are usually like? Or maybe a strategy to hitting most of the coasters. Dont really care about scream or riddlers. Just going for my x2, yolo, Goliath and Colossus credits. Anything else that I get to ride is a bonus.

So I'm planning a trip down to the park on the 5th. Since it's a Tuesday I was curious about crowds. I was also wondering about some of the restraints themselves as I am a bigger guy I wanted to forgo any walk of shame. I'm mainly wondering about Goliath, X2, Superman, Drop of Doom and Tatsu. Since I'm driving down from Northern California early in the am I am hoping to hit as many as I can before leaving to drive back, so I'm hoping for light crowds.

Insane Coaster Wars Season 3
Swornenemy replied to CPSFMMCW's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thought it was cool seeing part of the rooster teeth crew on Iron Rattler. Still in the process of watching but I like what I've seen so far. -
I'm reading that as the park will be closed on gamedays. Just as I thought as a lot of the parking for the stadium is the cga parking lot. I hope the park goes to year round operation since weather in the Bay Area isn't that cold during the winter. *edit* yup just checked the parks website Closed on 49er gamedays

It's ok, I had to cut my visit short anyways. So I have a mini trip report from Tuesday. When I arrived at the park I saw an abundance of school busses (ugh). Luckily the park was pretty empty besides the hoards of school kids in the park. My first order of business was a ride on Goldstriker and after a 45 minute wait I was on. It was just as a I remembered, fast paced with pops of air throughout. It seems that they removed all the graffiti in the queue aside from the handrails. After I went and processed my season pass, I was pleased to see they now have computers to put your information in the system instead of filling out little cards. I only spent a few hours in the park but managed 3 rides on Goldstriker, I could have gotten more but I had to leave. Delirium was down for the day and HMB Endeavor was as well. It seems that the hydraulics that lower the platform for Delirium were being worked on. And my courtesy ride on The Demon was strangely smooth. Now on to the few pics I took Obligatory look at the shiny new stadium next door photo First stop of the day Restraints were rather tight on my ride this time Must. Have. That. Minion. I guess I'll settle for the smaller minion... Weeeeee! Not today! Bet you've never seen a picture like this one Platform is down and angled. My guess is the hydraulics. I close out my report with a *sigh*

What time are you thinking of heading out? I might have a Muay Thai session that day and will be pretty close to the park before work. Gonna try to be there all day. I've thought of that for a long time, with that and the picnic area removed there would be plenty of space for something fun. Not gonna happen, but it's fun to think about.

I spent the 27th and 28th at the park. Both days me and my nephew got the quick queue. We really needed it on the 27th as the park was packed. The 28th not so much as there was a storm threatening, never happened though. I thought everything in the park was really spread out and the landscaping was great. We managed to get multiple re-rides on all the coasters except for Gwazi (once was enough) and scorpion (no quick queue). The animal enclosures were well done, and I could tell that they were well taken care of. Falcons Fury looks like it will be awesome, I just wish we had planned our vacation a little later so we could ride it. I'm just going to jump into my thoughts on the coasters. Cheetah Hunt: A fun well paced coaster with some airtime and hang time. Gwazi: The only reason I rode this is for the credit. It was rough and beat me up. I liked the layout though and could see that it was once a fun woodie. Montu: Very forceful, like a B&M should be. I rode quite a few times and couldn't find a bad seat. Kumba: Best coaster in the park. I felt physically drained after every ride. Scorpion: I only got one ride due to no quick queue but I enjoyed it. Sheikra: Great views from the top of the lift hill. The queue was packed on the 27th, but the 28th it was only a station wait. The first drop was amazing.

I'm going to be in Florida next month and am planning on visiting here. I'm curious as to how the crowds are in march on a weekday.I know it's around the time spring break is. How much does that affect it and if I should get whatever BG's version of the fast pass is. And any tips on where the best place to eat is.
