I've heard GL sucks. Haven't really read any good reports on that ride. I aslo heard at one point that SFOT was getting a clone of GL. I hope this is not the case, which I don't think so anymore due to all the negative comments on the ride . It looks cool, but I could see how it could be rough and jerky in some parks. Plus its not long at all.

I had a typo in my last message. It should have said I then knew he was not kidding, instead of was. I fixed it though. The GP can be "special" sometimes lol I was also standing in line for judge Roy recently when a couple in front of me were making plans to ride Flashback next. I wanted to tell them it's been gone since last summer but I was like, naw they can figure it out! lol

Looks like it's coming along quite well. Can't wait to see the completion photos/videos!

As far as I know the sports bottles are good at all Six Flags parks. I used my 2012 one at Fiesta, Over Texas, and Over Georgia.

Standing in line to ride Titan at Six Flags and the guy in front of my group is talking to the guy in front of him about Titan. They were both talking about how great Titan is and that's it's the tallest coaster in Texas, which is accurate. The guy in front of me then proceeds to tell the guy in front of him that Titan is 800 feet tall. Lmao. I started laughing. However he didn't. He then stated again it's about 800 feet tall to another person in line. I then knew he was not kidding but that he actually thinks Titan is 800 feet tall!!! Lol

Beautiful day at the park and also busy! Skyscreamer is coming along!

Out at Six Flags tonight and have noticed that the park has painted the outside of Texas Arena to a light orange color. I'm glad they did cause the old paint was peeling badly. I wonder why they did though. Maybe because it needed it, or do they have plans to re-open it one day. Wait and see I guess.

The Texas Skyscreamer stats it will open Summer 2013. The Georgia Skyscreamer will probably open first.

I know a lot are saying it's silly but I also read that some are saying it's unnessasry. I think folks are just making too big of a deal over it. Can't please everyone I guess even when you would think the park it taking the correct safety measures.

Some of you are really making a big deal over the safety checks. Who cares! At least they are making the effort.

Can't wait for IRAT! I recently heard that the park is shooting for a Memorial weekend opening. So I'm sure test runs will start mid April.

Went out to the park today, little busy but an overall great day. I noticed crews working on SkyScreamer plus a big sign on the fence stating it's opens Summer 2013. So I guess that means it won't be open this Spring but Summer instead. I'm just ready for it to open already! Haha

I agree, I love Reverse Blast and I hope it stays the way it is. Launching backwards and dropping over 200 feet looking straight down at 90 degrees forever changed the ride for me, love it!

Thanks for the update! Btw I'm pretty sure that me and my buddy were right behinde you waiting in line before Freeze opened cause we were also the first riders on Freeze for 2013 lol. I think y'all sit in the front while we chose the back. But anyways nice pics, and the park was looking good yesterday with all the work and new stands.

Me and my buddy both got a call back. Will be there Thursday, and Friday!

It's opening day! I will be there today, tomorrow, and next week for the Travel Channel shooting!

I've read the report from this guy suing the park and I don't really see his side at all. I mean honestly if the park allowed him on the ride and something bad happened, like maybe it flips over like Roaring Rapids did years ago and seriously injures him, he still sues. It's a lose lose for the park I believe. I think the park should just pay him off and move on, Cause either way he will bad mouth the park to the news and anyone he can about Six Flags. But if the park gives him what he wants then maybe others would see that and understand Six Flags did the right thing in a situation like this.

I heard in a radio interview with the marketing director for Fiesta Texas that they are shooting for a Memorial Day opening for IRAT.

Wow sounds like a big year for over Texas! TSS, looks to me like 4 new shows or updated versions, and the rumored return of Adventure Theater this summer! I'm excited!

I think it will be able to compare to NTAG. Even though Giant is nearly 5,000 feet of track and Iron Ratller will just be over 3,000 feet I believe it can still compare. I mean the drop on Ratller will be taller, steeper, and include a barrel roll. It could even be better then Giant. Time will tell!

Yeah I just read that email, 70 feet of support underground wow! Crazy. Lol so in total the ride will be 470 feet long, 70 underground, and 400 feet above ground! GO BIG!

I think Gatekeeper looks cool, but Iron Ratller is looking better to me, I hope it wins Best New Ride of 2013.

Yeah I was gonna say the same thing. When NTAG was re-tracked it won Best New Ride of 2011. I have a good feeling Iron Rattler will bring home the award in 2013!
