  1. That I don't know. However I have seen that work is being done on the inside of the old TCO building.
  2. Drove by the park this evening and took some pics of The Texas Skyscreamer! As you can see, it's coming together. GO BIG! This ride already looks tall, and I wouldn't say it's even half way up yet. Cool pic of the gold star which will be placed at the top of the structure. As I was leaving I noticed the flags that will be placed on the gold star at the very top of the structure! These flags are laying in the parking lot of the closed mini mall.
  3. Agreed. I don't think you can make judgements on the ride if you haven't rode it yet. This ride looks sick! I hope it's as fun to ride as it looks!
  4. Wow that's crazy! I'm gonna try and drive by and get some pics tomorrow.
  5. During my trip report yesterday the Skyscreamer tower was not as tall as it is today! That was fast!
  6. Haha not a PR guy or an employee. I just love the place. I don't think anyone would understand how much I love that park and other Six Flag parks. I go almost every weekend.
  7. Hey guys! just decided to do a small trip report and some updated pics on Texas Skyscreamer. I was out at the park today 4/21/13 for a couple of hours and got some nice pics. This report will include pics of ShockWave, Mr. Freeze, Batman, and the New Texas Giant. Enjoy! As you can see in this picture, foundation work has begun next to Skyscreamer. What could it be? Maybe and entrance house I'm guessing? As for the structure of the ride, it doesn't look as if much or anything has been done since my last trip report, which was last week. In this picture you can see the gold star which will be placed on the top of the Texas Skyscreamer 400 feet in the air! This photo advertises Skyscreamer opening Summer 2013. As I was taking pics a maintenance crew walked by and I over heard them saying that something would open in late May. I'm just gonna assume they were talking about Skyscreamer. That would make sense cause I've read reports of the ride opening by memorial day weekend. Ok, on to Batman. He looked to be running really good today. Just check out this awesome photo of Batman flying by! One of Batman's two corkscrews. Blastoff!!! Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast towers 242 feet above the park. However the train typical reaches a height of 218 feet leading to conflicting statistics. Mr. Freeze flying through the over bank turn at speeds of 70 MPH! Fact: Superman Tower Of Power is the tallest ride OF ITS KIND in the world, standing at an impressive 325 feet tall! One of my favorite coasters ever. ShockWave is so much fun! Plenty of airtime on this coaster! ShockWave also ranks among the top 50 steel coasters on earth by Amusement Today. It is said that ShockWave pulls more G's than any coaster on earth. Reports have shown ShockWave can pull up to 5.9 G's in the double loops. Wow! And of course, You can't go to SFOT and not check out the New Texas Giant! Giant features a 79 degree first drop. It currently ranks as the worlds 5th best steel coaster by Amusement Today! New Texas Giant features turns that exceed 90 degrees! Six Flags is know for their rides, but if you just look around beyond the rides you will notice that the park is very beautiful. SFOT is the original Six Flags park that features a lot of history. Does anyone know where to find the footers of the old Big Bend roller coaster? I do! The footers still remain in a hidden area of the park. I will take pics next time and show them to you. Thanks for reading guys! GO BIG! GO SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS!
  8. Full Throttle does look cool. If I do make my way to MM I would love to ride it!
  9. Thanks for all the info. I do wanna visit MM because of my love of coasters. That's probably the only reason I would visit. I do like a good mix of rides and shows and I know MM is not know for that, however I can deal with it. It sounds like making a trip to Cali just for MM is not worth it so I will try to visit other parks. I've been to Disney World and I hear its much better the Disney Land, but I may still give it a try. I would love to go to Universal though!
  10. Honest opinion please. I come on here a lot and read a lot of negative comments on this park. I hear the coasters are great but everything else sucks. I plan on making a trip to California soon. I do have a Six Flags season pass so I would get in free. But I'm not gonna buy a plane ticket, hotel, and rental car and waste tons of money if this park is really as bad as I read. What should I do? Help needed!
  11. Six Flags is advertising that Texas Skyscreamer will open sometime this summer. No set date just yet.
  12. If I'm not mistaken I believe the body of water under our sky coaster would the pond that dumps into Roaring Rapids. Can anyone confirm that?
  13. Oh how lovely. I wonder if the fans that's spray mist throughout the park also come from this dirty pond. I mean I can walk around in the summer seeing people nearly bathing under those fans or opening their mouths. If they only knew. Lol
  14. Glad Freeze is up. As for Roaring Rapdis I had no idea that it went into a holding pond. I wonder if anyone has ever thrown up in the water? Think of that next time you get splashed on Roaring Rapids! Lol
  15. I'm not sure if that's what they do every day. I know that the ride always opens at 12 and not 10 or 10:30 with the park. Everytime that I've been in the tower before noon there hasent been water in the ride. So I'm guessing they drain it daily. And I'm ok with that, I would like fresh water instead of nasty water from last week! Lol
  16. Ok guys this is my first ever trip report and I hope you all enjoy the info I will relay for you. I'll have updates on the new Texas Skyscreamer, Festival Latino weekend, and new things throughout the park. Hope you enjoy! Man I just love how this picture turned out. It was an amazing day at the park Saturday, April 13th, 2013. The weather was perfect. Upper 70's with a little wind. The turnout was pretty busy as I thought. As I said, the crowds were pretty big. Why not, it was a perfect day! Open the gates already! This weekend at the park was the 7th annual Festival Latino Weekend. The park was themed with festive cars, shows, food, and shops. First stop Looney Tunes USA. No I don't ride the kid rides nor do I think I would be able to due to my age/height, but I do love walking around the park and taking it all in. After Looney Tunes was Aquaman Splashdown. Yes the temps outside were warm but I'm not sure if I'm ready to get soaked just yet. One of the many festive booths set up throughout the park. On to Gotham City. Remember the old market sign? its was fading badly. Well this one is brand new and looks great! Here is something new! I've noticed guests complaints on the SFOT facebook page about line jumping. Well It looks as if the park is taking care of these problems as you can see in this pic of the security guard in the Batman line. Great job Six Flags! Yes it is cloned, but it deliverers! And there is something special about SFOT Batman ride. It roars like none other! Love it! If you saw my earlier post Mr. Freeze did valley during its test run. Oh well. Now to Skyscreamer! Yes sir construction is moving along! Skyscreamer we cant wait for you to step up and reign over the park! If you look in the distance you will notice the top Of the Texas Skyscreamer ride that will say Six Flags and the giant star next to it! I cant wait for this ride. I don't know about everyone else but this ride is looking very cool Now to a coaster that doesn't get much credit. I think its a great family coaster addition to the park. Yes its bumpy, but what did you expect? lol Don't you just love this pic? On to the tower! This pic came out great! 2 of the baddest coasters in the park! Hey check out this cool photo of the Roaring Rapids water ride filling up with water! took less then 5 min! Who doesn't love Shockwave? One more pic of New Texas Giant. Man I love this coaster! Honestly, its the best coaster I've ever ridden. It also ranks among the top 5 steel coasters on earth by Amusement Today! I lied....one more! lol The Texas Arena received a new paint job recently. It's now orange. Much better then the faded sky that was peeling badly. Whats missing? The Runaway Mountains entrance sign. Wonder what the park is planning? wait and see I guess. Festive music and dancing filled the streets of SFOT! Was nice to see. This was by far the coolest thing I had seen all day! this dude spray painted an awesome pic in less then 5 min! Ok lets take a break and get some ice cream. Guess how much? nearly $12 bucks for 2 cups. But that's expected. lol We decided to take a break and catch a show. This one was called "Miss Ruby's Wild West Cabaret" This was a fun, entertaining, and questionable show. To find out what I mean by that be sure to check out the show on your next visit. As we were getting ready to call it a day we decided to stop by the Spain area. When is La Vibora not busy? I mean c'mon! "Ain't nobody got time for dat!" Yes I love this pond. And this ride. Does anybody want some Takis? I just love this ride. Did anyone know that El Aserradero was the worlds first log flume ever built way back in 1963? And I will leave you with this guys. I understand that when New Texas Giant opened it took all the hype away. But don't forget that Titan is nearly 100 feet taller, faster and ranks among the top 10 biggest coasters DROPS on earth! Who wouldn't love this ride! Thanks for reading my trip report guys!
  17. This is a pic of Mr. Freeze with a tarp thrown over the train. Why you ask? well the train valley-ed earlier today! No one was on the ride as it was in test mode but how did they manage to do this again? First Giant, now Freeze. We left around 6 and the ride was still closed, however workers were seen on a lift working on the magnets on the spike of the ride.
  18. Yes the tower was open! I got some amazing shots up there that I will be sharing with you all!
  19. Out at the park today and witnessed Mr. Freeze valley! Haha. No one was on the ride as it was during it's test run. I took plenty of pics and will update later along with my trip report.
  20. Will be going to the park today. Bought a new camera so I will be taking pics and posting a trip report here, plus updated pics on the new Texas Skyscreamer!
  21. I thought it was vertical from a distance. But as I got closer to it Friday afternoon I noticed it was not. Hopefully soon it will be!
