  1. Just thought i'd share a brand new coaster that just came out. Seeing something like that makes me want to go visit there
  2. OMFG when did this happen!!! It opened yesterday 5/7
  3. http://video.foxnews.com/v/4880173861001/valravn-coaster-can-you-handle-a-223-foot-dive/?#sp=show-clips New dive coaster at Cedar Point.
  4. I got real nauseous when I rode with the VR but because it was real blurry for me. And I hardly get nauseous. I would guess people will get sick because of the mask over their face not because of the layout obviously.
  5. Any update on those water slide supports and parts?
  6. Just saw this... http://www.9news.com.au/world/2016/05/04/03/36/roller-coaster-riders-left-hanging-uside-down-after-ride-floods
  7. Don't forget Superman. When I went twice last month I did X2, Tatsu and then Superman in that order with walk ons and re-rides. Superman later on in the day both times got as long as to the entrance! Get early rides in!
  8. That happened to me when I was trying to fit on the headset when I first got it and was able to shoot until the train got off the chain. I wasn't able to re-collaborate it after I took off and it was blurry the whole ride.
  9. "So, has anybody managed to get on all 18 of this checklist in one day before? It wouldn't shock me if nobody has done it now that the new version of the Revolution has only just opened up and during peak time to boot (Spring Break). It really takes a miracle day for there to be no crowds and every coaster running." You will easily get to ride every ride during the week right now. As long as you ride X2 right when the part opens then Tatsu and Superman.
  10. Cool idea, but yeah SFMM doesn't care for capacity. X2 has an unused unloading platform that hasn't been used in forever, them not using both stations of Tatsu, Superman only running one side, rides only 1 train, etc. Having those extra employees and paying them is too much to ask. Only benefit I give them is like right now on slow days having all those extra employees when the park is empty doesn't make much business sense. And the park is open year round so at least we are lucky in that way.
  11. " I saw something odd happen 3 times today (including on one of my rides). Blue was catching up to Green on the lift, and the trains were just about to allign. But then, the blue lift slowed to the same speed as the green lift about 1 second earlier than it should have and green took off first, remaining an entire train length ahead for the whole course. Something's wrong with the programming, cuz it wasn't an issue of blue not having time to catch up. It caught up 90% of the way, and then just stopped trying." Yeah that's what I saw yesterday several times the blue wasn't getting there as fast as I remember it going on preview time but it was able to almost catch it or catch it but the green went over first. "Batman running one train and still using the grouper outside the station. I've been noticing this on several rides a lot more in 2016 than I have in YEARS before. Keeps the station vibes pretty chill, but always makes the line seem long." It was running two trains when I was about to get on it yesterday but then the Mechanic came and removed one train because of it acting up in the rain. Grouper was there too.
  12. Riding Lex Luthor during that rain/hail windy storm was scary. The hail drops were definitely felt while going up the tower. Was about to get on Batman when it got delayed for a half hour as one of the trains stalled because of the wet track. The mechanic came and then waited for another high op to come and then he put the train that stalled in the storage and then ran it with 1 train. I then went on Colossus for a few end of day rides when I saw a train stuck partially forward on the mid course break run on Goliath. It was stuck during the whole colossus ride and walking towards the Goliath entrance on my way to the front of the park to leave I saw 2 high management finally getting there. Wonder how much longer they were stuck there for. Also after my first ride on X for the day, since there was no one in line they got us ready to go again and when the train started to dispatch it got stuck right away. Mechanic made the train roll backwards which I've never seen all the way back to the old unloading form and then when it got back to the station we had to get off. Jet stream was closed most of the day until I finally rode it after 3:30 or 4. Rode Colossus 4 times and just once was a partial race. Even though on 2 of the other 3 the train coming from the station never sped it fast like it used to it just casually went up. They need to reprogram the lift again! Although props to the lead on OP and guy on the microphone announcing to hurry to race and even delaying one train from dispatching in order to race. Here are some pics :
  13. Right now at 4pm it started sprinkling so they aren't letting people ride with the VR goggles.
  14. What closes on windy days? X and Lex Luthor and what else? Does Tatsu close? Says Wind Advisory tomorrow. 12-15 mph winds up to 40 mph gust from 12 noon on. Is that enough to close down rides?
  15. On the 13th a Wednesday when I went, I went on X2 right when the part opened thru the season pass line and went right on. There ended up being a little bit of a line after that probably 20 minutes...The line was on the outside of the station on the ramp. But sitting in the back row was so rough that once was enough all day for me. I then went to ride Tatsu with back to backs with only a 1 train wait max but then later on in the day it was to the first row of the queue below. I rode Superman 3 times in a row around 12:30 with only 3 other people on it all the 3 times but then Superman was to the front of the entrance later on in the day for some reason. Full throttle only had a 15 minute wait both times I went on it at different times of the day. The line was only along the walkway where the boarding is. Twisted Colossus was a few train wait besides the first time I went to ride it when they were adding the 3rd train which I had to wait like 20 minutes. Goliath was a walk on and Lex Luthor a train wait. Going tomorrow also, will be riding X2 a few times right away and Tatsu, Superman Early on. Give you a recap tomorrow night on how lines were.
  16. Few thousand really? Doesn't seem like there are that many but makes sense if you add up the cars. About how many cars fill up that first part of the parking lot until the trees and divider? When I went on Wednesday the 14th it was a lot 1/2. Going again Monday. Was thinking to do revolution first because there would be a line but at only 15 minutes I got to do X especially with 1 train. X still running with 1 train this week?
  17. No, it opened to the public today. Good day at the park too. Everything but Rev was a walk on. But even that was about 15 minutes. Wow wouldn't have expected only a 15 min wait. The whole day?
  18. How busy will it be on Monday, the 25th? I know it should be dead but it is only a few days after the re-opening of Revolution and i'm sure that will make it a little bit more crowded than is expected for a weekday.
  19. Last Wednesday when I went it was going way into the red. Rode it 3 times in a row with no wait. Luckily as later on in the day the line got to the entrance for some reason.
  20. Yes, and on that note, is there any word what will happen in place of removed Top Spin? A blogger posted pics of landscaping, lights, and sprinklers being installed so probably not anything in the short term. Personally I think Boomerang has run its course. They should remove it and put in a Euro-fighter style coaster. Dueling Screaming Squirrels! I have been waiting for this to happen. But realistically, an giant S&S 4D Free Spin would be a perfect fit for that whole area. Are you listening Knott's? Hopefully one that would actually spin unlike Green Lantern at MM
  21. I went to the park Wednesday. Few comments. Apocalypse is insanely rough now. Its been so long since I've ridden Psyclone but today's ride quickly reminded me again how it was. I was allowed to ride revolution at around 4 pm even though I made my appointment the day before and didn't go.(She said the voucher is good for 2 days) When I first put on the headset I saw the collaborate message on the screen but I was too busy trying to adjust the straps and get a good fit. Finally when it was time to ride the on screen display was blurry and I couldn't re-collaborate so the blurriness made me very nauseous to the point where I almost took it off during the ride. Also because I could hardly see my gun "broke"? so most of the ride my plane was just flying and I couldn't shoot. Anyone have that problem? I overheard someone else after the ride say she could hardly see because it was blurry also. Parking lot was 1 1/2 sections full. Most rides a walk on or 1 or 2 train wait.
  22. Super light. Was a really nice time today. Most rides were walk-ons, while Superman and Tatsu garnered lines which were still manageable. Waited only about 20min for Superman at the peak of the day. Tatsu was a walk-on at around 4pm. TC was a 5 min wait most they day. X2 was still only running one train so that line was lengthy until around closing time. Parking lot only filled to around the top gun stall on TC. Very relaxed crowd and just an overall relaxing day. Got on about 10 coasters with plenty of rerides in the span of 4hrs. This is my favorite time of year to go. I am going today Tuesday. Oh thanks for letting me know about X2 i'll go on that first then. I was planning on going on Superman and Tatsu on top of the hill first.
  23. Crowds should be empty on the 12th Tuesday I hope right. No events and spring break is over? Should be walk ons? I know there is a baff day but it's several days so I don't think this one day should be affected.
