I actually used to work at Pharaoh's a few months ago as Water Treatment and Maintenance until I quit my job and worked for Stater Brothers. This season when I worked there the Wave Pool was NOT what it was cut out to be. The Water slides there were much more enjoyable than the actual Wave Pool itself. As for "SkyTown", not too much people have been going to it due to lack of promotion and spreading the word of it. I give Pharaoh's 2 out of 5 Spartan cries

It's not a bad source of info, they are just a bit overzealous in their reporting. Very hardcore fanboys, if you will. This week's update includes a comparison of how the temporary streetlamp poles (to hold holiday decorations) in Cars Land are fixed to the ground as distinct from the permanent ones. Thrilling stuff. Oooooohh ok I see your point now lol

I go to the park once a month, sometimes more, and Splash Mountain is usually a ride I stop by for a ride. I would say this is classic MiceChat over-dramatics as even I (a frequent visitor) have found it hard to see animatronics not working, or props as you they describe "decaying." Unless you get on the ride a few times in a row and try to eyeball EVERY SINGLE problem, which no average guest does. You got to be careful around that site, they can really ruin what still happens to be a very nicely run resort with very nice rides. Thanks man that really helps out alot. I would go and check it out myself, but my Delux Season pass expired and with the prices of admission growing higher, I don't see myself re-newing it anytime soon . So i take it MiceChat isn't a good source for park info

I am not a moderator or anything, but me thinks this would be a bad idea, not to mention is not allowed according to the Terms of Service contract that you agreed to. You read that before you signed it, right? Exactly. We were informed at West Coast Bash a few years ago that the site of Kingdom of the Dinosaurs was in very bad shape and was unsafe for even an organized tour (it's just a wreck). So, do not even consider sneaking in there for photos and posting them here (or anywhere else, for that matter). I didn't mean to use "sneaking" in this message. Forgive me. I just wanted to go above and beyond and post pictures from a SBNO attraction.

I don't see how people in SoCal can't appreciate outdoor family attractions like Dinosaurs Alive. Especially families with children (because kids love dinosaurs). Dinosaurs has done exceptionally well at the other CF parks, otherwise CF would've just kept it at KI. Plus it would be not only a suitable replacement for the old KOD attraction, but it would bring some extra revenue into the park. Space-wise, if Grona Lund and Indiana Beach can squeeze coasters into their parks, Knotts can do it too. Doesn't matter how big the park is. All that really matters is whether the park is willing to make room for other rides. Everyone said Cedar Point didn't have enough room for a new coaster and then they got Gatekeeper. Well I went to Knotts just the other day to ask why KOD was closed down. One of the ride operators that were inside of the aracde, where the exit of the ride used to be, and they told me that no one was going on. I asked why but the logical answer he could give me was, "Not alot of people are interested in going back in time to the dinosaur days i guess." As far as bringing it back, I wish they did bring back the KOD attraction. I loved this ride growing up and i'm trying to find a spot in the exit/enterance queue to sneak in and take pictures and hopefully put them on TPR. Plain and simple: Knotts doesn't think outside of the park sad to say. Big fan of the park, just too.... cramped together.

Many people were disappointed that this attraction was torn down (Which i don't blame them). I agree with you, I think Knotts should re-open a Dino attraction themed like KOD. HOWEVER, I don't think its time for Knotts to re-open this type of ride. Much of the Californian Population cannot appreciate dinosaurs or even an outdoor walkthrough. So basically what I think is that this attraction is a great benefit to Knotts, just not the attraction we need at this time. Too many people cannot appreciate this type of ride unfortunately and Knotts would be losing money. As far as other Roller Coasters and room go, the park is too small. Example: if the park was much bigger then Pony Express would be longer and much more enjoyable than just a 20 seconds ride.

The KOD building is a lost cause man. That place has been filled with rodents, cats, asbestos (From what i heard from an employee), and just pure filth. However, i agree with your idea. Intamin and Vekoma make really great attractions and yeah perhaps Knotts could use a "Soarin" sim which could Peanuts theme seeing as the park is Peanuts themed. But how can we build anything else in the park when everything is crammed together??? I love it to death and I believe its a great park... but its too small. So much potential can be done with this park but a vast majority of its being taken up by shops and show houses. In a nutshell, More Peanuts themed stuff but MORE ROOM!!!!
