  1. Some pictures of Justice League constuction from Screamscape:
  2. Crazy to think that it will be open for business in around 2 months. Still a lot of work to do, but so far it's looking great.
  3. That makes sense. They are proabably rolled up inside of the tubes.
  4. Thanks for the update. Can't wait for some pictures of construction and I can't wait to hear about the secret elements.
  5. What is the large concrete area beneath and behind Millenniums last turn used for?
  6. Mind sharing that picture on here or adding a link to it? Was it a website with a bunch of old picture of the resort? If so, please share it.
  7. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Sorry I am a little late to the discussion. But what exactly is the hub, where is it, why did they redo it, what did it look like originally, and what is the purpose of it? Thanks.
  9. Here's a picture I found online of the original Tiki Twirl. I'm hoping that Calypso will look like this when it is moved and rethemed and such.
  10. Interesting. The other Santa's Village over here in Illinois reopened a few years ago and is actually doing very well. They added a new coaster last year too.
  11. The Highland Fling cars are not new, they are actually the Wagon Wheel cars from SFFT (and before that SFOT). They are also the last remaining set in the Six Flags system, unless some park has some in their boneyard. What about Orbit at Six Flags Great America?
  12. Or just moving them off the peninsula and having them live in the apartments by breakers express.
  13. I wasn't sure if this deserved its own topic or not so lock it if necessary. I was wondering if anybody on here is going to be attending No Coaster Con today in Illinois? If so could you post a report with what was all talked about with pictures too? Thanks.
  14. In an email to me, they did say this, "As I am sure you know, the Sorcerer's Hat joined the skyline of Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2001, and has been serving as the iconic figure for the park since. It is a great part of our history for the park and I am so glad you have such fond memories associated with it. Regretfully, we will not be able to provide the assistance you requested. Due to a great number of changes coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios, we are unsure of all of the new aspects and what this will mean for this great icon."
  15. Having an entry plaza similar to what Carowinds is doing with Fury 325 would be great. It would also give Cedar Point two great looking entrances along with Gatekeeper.
  16. Shockwave being replaced with Superman and Deja Vu being replaced with Bucaneer Battle at Great America.
  17. The Good time Theatre sure is coming down and Breakers is looking great. The view from the webcams are also amazing with the snow.
  18. Were you ever on namtab up at Great America? It is a great change compared to the original ride and is a bit more intense at moments. On media day, I rode it over 30 times and enjoyed it. It is just a nice and temporary change.
  19. I rode it summer 2013 and it's not too bad. It's not enjoyable exactly but it's rideable. It all depends on the person though.
  20. @HWFan Do you have any pictures or updates about Battle for Metropolis for us? Maybe a New Years gift for us?
  21. I go to Great America over 25 times a year so I have experience at the park. I think that lines will most likely be a problem but not as bad if you went later in summer. Most kids are out of school by this time so it shouldn't be filled with schools taking trips. It is still pretty early in the summer season too. So I think you should be good without flash pass. When you enter Carousel Plaza, you can either go to the right which would lead you into Hometown Square or you can go to the left which will lead you into Orleans Place. What I normally do, and suggest you doing is taking the left path through Orleans Place because majority of people go to the right for Hometown Square. If you really want to ride Goliath, X-Flight, or Raging Bull a lot then I would suggest hitting those pretty early in the day. If you wanted to do that, I would say start in the back of the park and then work your way up to front. I would eat at JB's BBQ in Southwest Territory. It has some of the the best food in the park and you can get beer and mixed and alcoholic drinks there. In addition there are tv's to watch sporting events on. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
  22. I'm from Chicago and I haven't been able to make it out to California yet to visit Magic Mounitian yet. However, I've seen National Lampoon's Vacation dozens of times and I love watching the Walley World scenes. I was wondering where do all of the filmed scenes in the lark actually take place? Are the locations still there today and do they look the same or different? I've always wondered about when they meet John Candy where that is and also when they get arrested too. Of anybody could help me and post pictures that would be great. Thanks everyone and merry Chirstmas.
  23. Is that American Eagle at Great America?
