Maybe a return of the Villains Cafe? The sign is currently in storage behind the Boss and is visible from the train. I highly doubt it though. I'm guessing if it's a restaurant it'll be a restaurant for vegetarians since that seems to be the new trend in the chain. Picture of it or are there any other hidden things to see in the park?

Can you elaborate on this for me? I have seen you and others say this time and time again, but I simply do not understand. Whizzer is a smooth, fun ride for me but nothing I would write home about. Is there something I am missing here that others see? The same can be said about any Anton's really. One, its a Schwarzkopf, and as you now Schwarzkopf is no more. Two, its an ACE Coaster Landmark. Three, its one of only two Schwarzkopf Speedracers remaining, the other one is in Colombia and has been relocated from Worlds of Fun. Four, it runs amazing for being 38 years old. Five, its an original to Great America. Six, Whizzer and the now defunct Whizzer of California's Great America were the last two jet races built. Seven, if you ask anybody who has visited the park staring as a kid or maybe not even, the will say that Whizzer wad their first roller coaster. Eight, we almost lost Whizzer over 10 years ago, but luckily we didn't, and it is here to stay.

What does a Thunderbird have to do with 66 Days at Sea? The bird in the animation with the storm and waves seemed kinda strange. -

Does anybody else get something saying "This channel is password protected" when trying to watch it? -

I think Holiday World has done a good job keeping whatever the new roller coaster is a secret. Nothing about it has been leaked such as the layout or any information about it. The way that Holiday World is going to be announcing the new roller coaster tonight, kind of reminds me of what Kings Island did last year with Banshee. -
I am going to be going to Six Flags St. Louis in early August. What days would be the best to go with the least amount of lines? Is there anything cool to see in the park, and are there any remains of rides (like the hanibarrels were) or anything abandoned, rundown, hidden or secret pathways in the park to see? Thanks in advance.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

So I read that the Good Time Theatre which now where the ice skating show takes place, used to be an Imax theater. Is this true? I have never been in the theatre. Does anybody have picture of it now vs back when it was a Imax theatre? Any memories of it and how did they do the construction from one to another and pictures of the construction? I think it would be interesting to see how they did it. Thanks. -
Longest SBNO / Shortest Opened Coasters
Iron Wolf 90-11 replied to Heth's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
4 days is ridiculous anyway, but 1983?! That's a long time to be constructed and to never open. Is there a reason given? That is a really long time. I wonder what the park's status is now. "On 11/10/2003 the park closed for what their website is called maintenance reasons. The park was expected to reopen the following year, the reopening did not occur until February 3rd, 2007. At the time of the reopening, just kiddie rides were operating. More and more rides are expected to reopen as time goes on." -
At least it would've been better than telling you to go where you feel safe, but then they don't allow you where you and many other patrons would feel safe, in the pictorium. That might just be a matter of since the Pictorium is currently closed, the park couldn't afford to waste the resources for a staff member to supervise patrons in there. They certainly would not want to leave anyone unsupervised. Or, if there is any kind of work being done in the theater, it might not have been a totally safe place to be. Since it sounds like you were at the park, was there an announcement there was a tornado warning in the area at all beyond the sirens? Yes, many announcements were made but they were not loud enough, many people could not hear them. They said there was an F3 tornado warning for the area and to seek shelter for safety.
