From Dragon*con this past weekend. Proof that if I want a good pic of me (and this really is the best one I took all weekend!), It needs to be after 4am, and I need to be 3-sheets-to-the-wind drunk. yeah, it was almost 4:15 am on Monday morning. . and I look damn good. . LOL

Yeah. . she was great in the late 80's. . but after her husband killed himself, she became a very "bitter" comedienne. I still enjoyed her, but it was just a bit too nasty for my tastes. I had a feeling when they announced they had moved her from ICU and she was "resting comfortably". . it was a sign she was in the last moments of her life (otherwise they would have said she had improved). R.I.P. Joan, a true trailblazer, and an icon. you will be missed, and mourned (tho not, I expect, for anything you did in the past 20 years).

I was in Atlanta for Dragon*con (just got back about an hour ago), so just now getting to comment. GREAT to see that it's the 4D coaster! (and I like that I get to say "toldja so" to some friends in regards to the "Batman" theme. they don't explicitly state it -- heck in the pics just posted, they still refer to the area as Rockville. . . but I STILL think we are going to get a Gotham City (or DCUniverse retheme). if not, it's odd to put a Batman coaster there. regardless tho. .it looks amazing.

you can never tell tho. It's weekend only by that point, and the waterpark is closed for the season. Personally, we always go for Goliath first too, since many folks miss (despite numerous signs) that the entrance is just to the left of the park gate! They go deep into the park to try and find the queue. . .it's to the immediate left once you go in.

SHOCKED this didn't come up immediately. . . but Kennywood outside of Pittsburgh has a GREAT funhouse in "Noah's Ark" (no rotating barrel. . tho you walk thru one on an elevated platform, if I recall) but TONs of vibrating/shaking floors, the main ark rocks quite forcefully, and there are air jets hidden thruout the dark maze portions. I loved it. -
maybe I missed it. . but I always bring along a bandanna and a hat. several times thruout the day, I'll step into a restroom, wet the bandana, put it on my head and put the hat over it. that way my neck is protected from the sun, and it helps cool me down. Like others have said, also drink LOTs of water. . .I'm also one of those particularly vulnerable to the heat (despite living in Texas). . so water, wet bandanna, hat, and sunscreen

it's not just themed teacups. .it's INCREDIBLY themed teacups. It's by far, the best themed ride in the park (the pad is a pool table!). I wish it went up and down like the old barrel rides, but Hustler is just such a classic bit of theming. .that's why folks love it. But if it's staying?. . . I'll bet it gets re--themed to the area. Harley Quinn's juggling balls anyone?

I've never been to Cedar Point. . so a stupid question: why bother with the Platinum Pass, if you were going to "take your time" anyways? if not in that much of a rush, why does it benefit to walk around, rather than just wait in the line (particularly if the line is an hour-fifteen anyways? (again, I've never been, so maybe that's an hour-fifteen vs four hours without the pass?).

considering the film isn't out for over a year. . maybe wait and see? you're WAY too young to recall the backlash over casting Michael Keaton (Mr MOM as BATMAN??????). . and he is the one that everyone looks to as the standard now. Really hate to respond to this and go way off topic but you can blame Joel Schulmacher for 2 horrible Batman's after Tim Burton. Some people just can't detect sarcasm these days. Backlash in the late 80s, HAH! Now back on the topic at hand, 6 more days No. . I'm talking the backlash over Michael Keaton being cast as Batman. before the first film came out. The fans were FURIOUS that "Mr. Mom" had been cast as Batman. Keaton wasn't in either of Schulmacher's films (which destroyed the franchise and made it a joke). but thank you for proving that I was 100% correct about you being too young to recall it. (nothing to do with Sarcasm - or me missing it. I was counseling you to not pre-judge affleck, as those who prejudged Keaton were proven wrong. Keaton is considered the standard now (not Kilmer, Clooney, Adam West, or even Christian Bale). that i mentioned Keaton should have been a clue I wasn't talking about Schumacher's films <-- note for you: THAT is sarcasm.

does it say "World First" or "Worlds Finest" because "Worlds Finest" is what DC Comics has historically called the Batman/Superman team up comic book. and we have a Batman/Superman film coming in early 2016. . . so the pieces do kinda fit. (then again, we could be looking at 1+1 and getting "11" instead of "2")
