zero signage updating anything. it was scheduled to open 3/3, and it did not, therefore "delayed" I think it will open in the next couple of weeks, but that's just my opinion, nothing official, and nothing told to me about that. -

It really is worth a visit. I realized my TR has no pics from the West side of the park.. (here are some pics from a TR I posted back on 12/26-12/27, you'll see pics of Iron Rattler and Roadrunner Express from that side of the park). if you go during the Summer Months, Fiesta has a very decent waterpark as one of the "lands" included as well over on that side. -
all the signage (since it went up around the park) have mentioned "opening in March 2018" today is only March 7. they will move Heaven and Earth to get this thing open by end of month, so y'all should have nothing to worry about and Thedlr -- if this is your 1st trip to San Antonio, budget in a couple of hours to go into downtown and see the Alamo, and the Riverwalk (there is an entrance directly across the street from the Alamo). the Alamo site is way smaller than you will expect it to be, but if you've never been it really is a "don't miss" while in town. (the Alamo will take about an hour if you read every sign, and up to 3 hours if you really take your time. . . but can be visited really, in about 30 minutes).

great report, and envious as there are several things at SFoT that I have not gotten to ride yet (Mr. Freeze has never been up when I've been, and haven't been since they converted Texas Giant. . so that, JL, Riddler, Catwoman. . all new to me). luckily we'll be there at some point this year with our passes. You didn't mention Catwoman, or if you did, I missed it. . . did you ride that? Incredibly curious as to how the "open seating Enterprise" feels when on it. if you saw my Fiesta TR (which I'm assuming you did, since the comment on the loony tunes being AWOL on Bugs Bunny), then try Joker again with the restraints super tight. . .as tight as you can get them. Spinning WITH the car, instead of bouncing around in the restraints at each spin, makes a world of difference. Great Pics of Giant! thanks for sharing the report! Makes me want to go up to SFoT sooner, rather than later. Hopefully sometime before June.

So make it a basic spaghetti, or spaghetti and meatballs, there. Easy! And Wonder Woman-Approved! no balls allowed on Paradise Island (sausage either). . . hehehe -

I'm actually betting that the Carousel is going to go there on the side of the Sangerfest Hall (in Spassburg), across from the kiddie teacups, in the space that used to be the outdoor seating. You are correct! The park president confirmed the carousel will be next to Sangerfest Hall. The old shade structure will be re-used as part as the queue also. cool.. I'm glad my logic holds (tho the old shade structure seemed to have been torn down. . maybe they just put it in storage while they worked on the pad). it means the First Aid will either be moving, or they are gonna be pretty hidden behind it tho. as noted above, too bad they couldn't find a place to squeeze it in behind the bar-b-que place across from the waterpark entrance. that area really does need SOMETHING there to make up for all the dead space when the waterpark isn't open. -

there IS the only Pizza joint in SFFT right there at the entrance to Wonder Woman.. but they don't sell spaghetti. sounds like an opportunity to me! -

glad you (and others) are enjoying the pics. it really is a great park, and when in the summer and the whole Waterpark Section opens, it's even better. The Texas wave pool and Lazy River are great at this park. If I had been alone, I would have stayed likely a few hours longer, and would have gotten rides on Goliath, Iron Rattler, and a few other flats..but I felt guilty that I was with someone who didn't want to / couldn't ride all that much, so after we did 4 rides together, and I did 4 rides alone, it was "enough" for this trip. I'll be back multiple times thruout the season, sometimes with spouse, and sometimes without, so i don't mind skipping things on trips -

when I last went (day after Christmas), i got Pepe Le Pew, and the time before that (Dec 3) we got Porky and Yosemite Sam. so they are doing a fantastic job with the characters out in the main "hub" plaza -

thinking about this while on my walk today.. I'm wrong. they already had an outdoor seating area there, and they tore it out. Fiesta Texas had removed the Carousel (America-go-round) to make the plaza/gift shop for Wonder Woman. . . . and before it was in that location (way back when), it used to be in the German Section. (Spassburg). They had signs up saying it would be coming back late last year during Holiday in the Park. I'm actually betting that the Carousel is going to go there on the side of the Sangerfest Hall (in Spassburg), across from the kiddie teacups, in the space that used to be the outdoor seating. shame they couldn't find a place to put a flat over on the other side of the park, they REALLY need *something* between Boomerang and Roadrunner Express.. . sure, the waterpark is there, but when that is closed for most of the year, it's just a fairly long walk with no rides, just a few restaurants there. still. . excited to realize that the construction is very likely the Carousel pad. -

I mentioned the Loony Tunes figures missing (and how it looked very tacky) in the survey they sent me -- Fiesta is really good about sending out survey to Season Pass holders in the days after a visit. woudln't hold my breath on that kind of stuff tho.. the figures from Roadrunner Express have been missing for *years* at this point, it seems. but hopefully the Bugs & Yosemite Sam figures will be back in the Flume ride queue soon! (the other stuff, was just minor opening season stuff to work out.. so I'm sure that will get adjusted. I'd have to guess the wet weather affected the paint plans thruout the park ) -

it really is. and you know how it's hard to follow the track exactly in the pictures for the whole circuit? it's like that in person too! honestly, it's hard to follow the whole circuit.. one gets lost in the twisting track! and I didn't really notice if they had the "lake" retaining wall going all the way around the base, but over by the loading station, it certainly looks like they hadn't demolished the retaining walls from when it was the Power Surge, so it certainly seems like this coaster will be sitting over a lake, as it looked in the promo teasers. -

I was SUPREMELY impressed that pretty much everything was up and running so early in the season, even with the dispatch time issue on Skyscreamer. I think the only ride we actually saw closed, was Der Twister (the Top Spin), which is not really surprising , tho it had been open on my visit just after Christmas. -

Thanks. . it was a good visit, tho I do wish they had some indication that Scooby was being redone. . no one was even stationed outside, or the the entrance walled off. only the door closed. (I mention this because while waiting for Nick to use the restroom, I saw multiple families try to go to the entrance and get confused that the ride wasn't there). Excited to see what they put there.. maybe it will tie into the themeing on the boardwalk, and that's why they didn't paint the side of the building (showing the Big Spin info) yet? -
yep, back up. working great, thanks Robb!
