  1. Well, they would probably LOSE their job, right? True, but to be fair, Magic Mountain is pretty loose with their rules.
  2. LOL! Oh my word! Somebody is going to loose his job....wait, this is SFMM, who am I kidding? They'll just brush it off.
  3. Personally, I would go for Disney. LA County Fair: Let's face it. We all are going for just the food. There's some nice exhibits, but its all about the food. Disney might help with that remedy. Sea World/Belmount: I'm disgusted you'd bring this up. They torture their wild life! Joking aside, unless you need the credits, this wouldn't be my first choice. Manta is a REALLY good coaster so there's that. Belmont is a nice little boardwalk park with a nice beach, but the Giant Dipper isn't a very comfortable ride IMO. Universal: I'd wait a couple if years until Potter opens. Disney: Good food great rides. Go for this. Hope this was helpful.
  4. You have to admit that they look quite impressive for Universal standards. This looks like it will be better than Forbidden Jouney's queue!
  5. Yay for the dates, yay for Xcellerator ERT, and yay for more YOLOing! Hopefully X2 will be running this year so we can get ERT on it (If possible). Once again, September remains as the most epic month of the year as it consists of Horror Nights, WCB, Scary Farm, and my birthday.
  6. I was at Knott's the other day and some kid was talking about how Ghostrider flew off the tracks and then came back on. Also, while in line for Xcellerator, I overheard some girls who looked like they were freshmen in high school. The three of them were really trying hard to get one of them to flash for the camera. There goes my hope for that generation.
  7. It would not surprise me if they're planning on getting rid of it soon. I'm certain that and Screamin' Swing's days are numbered.
  8. I'll just say that Jar Jar Binks is a more reliable source than MiceChat.
  9. Just watched the video of the Seven Dwarfs coaster that TPR posted and I think it looks great! This is a nice addition for MK. I won't spoil too much if you are still wanting to ride it yourself, but I was really impressed with the animatronics. The theming looked amazing, and I liked the "Hi Ho" set-up they had for the lift hill. Very nice touch. I'm looking forward to riding this in June! Here's my only complaint: While the ride looks great and very high-quality, it should've opened with everything else in New Fantasyland. Having the Seven Dwarfs coaster open two years later after a lot of tourists have already visited it for the original opening is going to set expectations a little too high for them. I don't think that will help when Diagon Alley opens. I think everyone will enjoy the ride (And it does look GREAT), but after all of the expectations, I can't help that some people will go, "so....isn't there more?"
  10. Seeing that photo update doesn't make me regret not renewing my Six Flags pass. I just have no urging desire to visit that place again until WCB. As for YOLO Sports bar, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I just miss the high sierra theming that was once there. It saddens me to see a once beautiful area be turned into a concrete slab. I feel like SFMM is doing everything backwards. The "Come at me Bro" merch doesn't make it any better.
  11. You're not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. All Knott's has to do is look at the quoted posts and they'll know that you posted something that you shouldn't have. Just realized we're going off-topic here. I'm looking forward to Linus Launcher opening. I like the "flying" flat rides at carnivals so this should be fun.
  12. Hopefully when you took that shot, that was your last day of working at Knott's. If not, you'll have one pretty soon. They already have your age so that narrows it down a little bit.
  13. It's not going anywhere. What else would they replace it with in that narrow space? On top of that, it was a question asked at WCB. Jeff responded with, "It's not going anywhere. It's a classic". If it did leave though, I would throw a tantrum and scream like a little kid. I LOVE Monty. It's a great "quick thrill" with little wait.
  14. Thanks for the photos! I REALLY missed that ride in Orlando. Although Diagon Alley/Escape from Gringotts will be pretty cool, it's a shame that one of the few remaining "animatronic heavy" rides is gone for more 3D. Hopefully I'll have the chance to be able to go on this soon.
  15. Stop making me excited over something that will never happen.
  16. When I went on it last October, it was running a bit rough, but it wasn't THAT bad. That's probably because I'm so used to Scream at SFMM being rough. Now THAT'S a terrible-running coaster. But as for the question, I kind of prefer the Mummy. There's more airtime and the theming is much better. I also like the launch more.
  17. Someone on my FB page posted a picture of themselves enjoying "Florida with the family". They posted a picture of them in front of the Universal globe. Someone commented asking, "Where in Florida?"
  18. Do they not realize how terrible of an idea this is? What are you smoking? This idea is GENIUS! In fact, this idea is so awesome, Disneyland should follow suit. What better way to celebrate the 60th than to get rid of Pirates, Indy, Space Mountain, and even DCA, and have only the rides that were open when Disneyland opened up to really keep up with the nostalgia. After it's over, they could build everything all over again!
  19. This is the problem I have with Star Wars Land: While it's a GREAT idea and it would definitely be the Potter-swatter, I don't think it would work as a Tomorrowland take-over. Star Tours would fit of course, and Autopia and Innoventions could easily be removed. The problem is, how would they be able to let Space Mountain fit in with Tomorrowland? The Submarines? Buzz Lightyear (The could take this out sure, but a lot of people, including me, love that ride)? What they could do is have Endor and the speedbike coaster go through the length of Autopia and maybe start where the Autopia station is, but what to do with the rest of TL...Maybe they could redo the rest as an outter space space port and have another "space" E-Ticket where Innoventions is (X-Wing/Tie-Fighter coaster?). Well....okay, they could make it work, but here's my real problem I have with this: Having Star Wars land in Disneyland would not tap the potential it could meet with the Star Wars universe. I mean, the Star Wares universe is freakin' HUGE. Having it in Disneyland alone would NOT do it justice. You'd have room for what I mentioned above and that's it. You couldn't do Tattoine/Mos Eisley with that crammed space, which is a MUST for any basic Star Wars land. That's why I disagree with previous rumors of a Marvel theme park. Star Wars deserves its own third gate. Besides, in my opinion, Marvel merely has enough creative potential for a single "land". Oh, and it would balance out the crowds way better having Star Wars as a third gate. Could you imagine the HORRENDOUS crowds if a crammed land themed to the most popular franchise of all time got placed into the world's second most popular theme park? Yeeeeshh. If I were the one calling the shots as to which goes where for Disney, this is what I would propose: -Star Wars theme park as third gate -Marvel Universe land in DCA (Have the theme in Los Angeles or something). -Tomorrowland redo with Tron E-Ticket replacing Innoventions.
  20. How about Alien Encounter in EO's space? That'd be nice.
  21. So I take it they can't build the show building up to Harbor Blvd.? Could they work around those water filters used for Nemo?
  22. I might try that next time. I just had a Dead Guy Rogue last night. It's somewhere between an IPA and a regular ale if that makes sense. It's pretty good! It's one of my favorites.
  23. Yeah. DM queue will never again be used for a house. There's too many permanent walls and railings in the way. Besides, it's going to be too popular to put a maze in there. The blank queue is a little annoying, but it doesn't bother me that much honestly. I wanted to eat the food in Gru's Lab, but the restaurant closed before I had a chance! Bah! Oh well. Next time. I'm determined to have the waffles and El Macho's Nachos.
  24. Me and my little sister just got back from Universal to ride DM:MM. I have to say, I REALLY liked it! Even though I've already been on the one in Florida, I actually enjoyed going on this again more than I thought I would. Even though it's another simulator ride, the motion is very smooth and it doesn't feel too rough. There was just a certain charm that the ride had that made it feel superior than the Simpsons. It's probably the high level of theming, more heartfelt humor, and the smooth motions. This will definitely be a big hit for Universal for years to come. They have a big winner on their hands here. It goes without saying that the ride is the same as Florida's but it does have some enhancements. There's wind effects, water effects recycled from T2 (The mist), and better film projection (It looked better than Transformers). Also, I LOVE THE THEMING! Yeah, the blank queue bothered me a little bit, but the awesome facade, the quality pre-show rooms and the AMAZING-looking Super Silly Funland made me forget that; besides, it never really bothered me too much in the first place. It would've been nice to have an all-out queue though. I didn't get to try the DM food. Maybe next time. I did get the cupcake and I thought it was alright. They were out of the bananas when I tried to get one. I'm looking forward to seeing SSFL when it's all complete. It's not even finished yet and I already think it looks amazing. Great job Universal! You did very good on putting this in and I'm glad to see your work pay off!
