Appears that there is an update to the SFKK saga. FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Kentucky Tourism Development Finance Authority has approved incentives for Bluegrass Boardwalk to open in Louisville. After hearing a presentation from their consultant, the Authority unanimously approved the 3.9 million dollar incentive package. Kentucky Tourism Secretary Marcheta Sparrow says the impact of the park on tourism will be tremendous, and a great addition for the state's largest city. Bluegrass Boardwalk co-owner Mike Kamp says they are pleased by the Authority's action, and their next step is to go to the State Fair Board at their June or July meeting, to get an extension for the opening to 2014. Checking out the webcam at this moment. Good quality streaming pics every few seconds with sound. Looks like there are issues with Verbolten today? There are few trains running, but with no one in it. Good view of the drop, though.

That's what I thought it was at first.... But the only black track is in the building (supposedly) and it is a squarish track segment - not flat or rectangular like we've seen. I think it's just a piece of equipment for the ride installation. Pile driving rig. those steel tubes in the previous pics are driven into the ground - you can tell by looking at the numbers marked on them.

Won't make it there to BGW this year. Miss that park, since leaving Virginia three years ago. Will have to get there next year when the new coaster opens, though.
