For a boy, "Roy", after Judge Roy Scream. For a girl, "Titania", after Titan. -
Lone Star Theater has just been demolished. This photo was taken by Sarah Blair of Texas Thrillseekers. Apparently, the flood waters did a lot of damage to this as well. I have a lot of fond memories of the old Chevy Show in this building, more recently it's been used for storage. RIP Lone Star Theater

I know Skyscreamer must seem pretty tall to you guys, but I'm so used to the Texas Skyscreamer here at SFOT- over 400 ft- that it doesn't seem all that high to me. It looks to be similar in height to the one at SFFT, that one always seems like a kidde swing to me because of the enormous size of the one at SFOT.

I don't think I'd consider Screamscape, Amusement Source, and/or Over Texas Thrills "actual media outlets." Maybe it's just me, but I usually think as actual media outlets being reputable like, oh... I don't know... BBC, USA Today, LA Times, Washington Post... You know... real media outlets. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Yeah, "media outlet" is poor choice of words on my part. I just meant sources besides FB. Preferably sources that are attuned to the theme park industry.

I believe this is the article. It's from Texas Thrillseekers FB page. If it's true then other media will soon pick this up. BREAKING NEWS: “Our sources have confirmed that the purchase/acquisition of three Six Flags parks, including Six Flags Over Texas, by the minority owners and Herschend Family Entertainment for $5 billion is being discussed at the Six Flags corporate level RIGHT NOW.” The buyout could be completed as early as 2021, just in time for the park’s 60th anniversary. For those that don’t know, Herschend Family Entertainment owns DollyWood and Silver Dollar City. I believe more than ever before that the future is incredibly bright for Six Flags Over Texas after learning this news. New leadership and a fresh start! It can only mean that positive changes are coming! What do you think, TTS? I love it! The best news I’ve heard come out of SFOT in years! https://www.facebook.com/groups/TexasThrillSeekers/?multi_permalinks=2061454667315093%2C2061423120651581%2C2061396133987613%2C2061205617339998¬if_id=1556221506284878¬if_t=group_activity

Yes, it does look like the train will operate during the season. However, the train runs adjacent to the now defunct Aquaman: Splashdown ride where work continues. This area is considered an FRA or "Future Ride Area". What this means is that, at times, there may be considerable work going on in the area, including the use of large cranes ect. If this happens, there may be certain hours or even days when the train will not operate due to large construction equipment compromising the train tracks. It's also possible that the walkway directly behind the tracks will be periodically closed to allow for the use of large equipment, cranes ect.

I've always thought that because of the trouble that they have had in the past with supplying enough power to the rides LIMS that they just down right disable the figure from moving. edit** Six Flags Over Texas Mr Freeze animatronic still works, doesn't look like much, I am guessing that our Mr Freeze broke and they figured that it wasn't worth the cost of fixing. Remember when Batman had all the cool in line props like the cop car and hydrant? Here at SFOT, our Mr. Freeze animatronic did not work for many years. They recently refurbished the animatronic and gave it a "face lift" so that it looks more like the Batman: Animated Series version and less like Arnie. It is now back in operation.
