  1. ^ Mr. Freeze was running yesterday. The park is year-round on weekends now, so yes, most all coasters will be operating.
  2. ^ The Troika has been removed and is currently in storage. No word yet on what they intend to do with it.
  3. That signage doesn't exactly lend itself to a great deal of excitement. "Please be patient while we evaluate potential replacement rides"? That sign should read something like "Pardon our progress! We're making way for an exciting new attraction!" That's what the Aquaman signage read at SFOT.
  4. At the park now. Some photos I took of Aquaman Power Wave construction, as well as the cool Christmas decorations they've added to Runaway Mountain. Runaway Mountain is sporting some impressive Christmas decor! There are Christmas trees all throughout the ride! Construction on Aquaman is coming along! First of it's kind in the US! Lots of equipment and personnel on site today.
  5. Tidal Wave's plot could easily be used for an RMC Raptor, or even a Zamperla Giant Discovery! I thought it would be a total waste to try and refurbish it with so many new rides available. Mack Power Splash anyone ?
  6. A big change to what? Land being cleared so that construction can begin on a shiny new RMC T-Rex Giga coaster? Or perhaps the long awaited RMC conversion of The Boss has officially begun, complete with cranes to begin removing the old wooden track? Please tell us.
  7. Flume 1 has been SBNO for a while now. No word yet on what the park intends to do. What is known is that the ride has been stripped down, conveyor belts and drive motors removed from lift hills ect.
  8. To be fair, the only info currently available with regards to Gold River is purely speculative. Info isn't automatically false simply because it's been posted on TTS.
  9. ^ That's correct. Park President Jeffrey Siebert invited us on the Tour. It's not something that's available to the general public.
  10. Here are a few pics I took on my recent visit to SFFT. Most are from the Cliff Top Tour.
  11. Park President Jeffrey Siebert invited the Texas Thrillseekers on a special night time Cliff Top Tour of Fiesta Texas. There were over 100 TTS members in attendance- myself included. This video contains the entire tour. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  12. Behind the scenes construction tour of Stingray. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  13. My day at Fiesta Texas! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  14. Old parts from those rides aren’t going to fix the issues we have. We could maybe repurpose some things like boats. But that isn’t likely as the ones in Texas were prob shot. But the refurb is about other issues not things fixable but salvaging from other end of life rides. And the cost of removing it is vastly less expensive than the refurbishment cost. Trust me I know the numbers. Come to think of it, I did see one of the old boats strapped to a trailer with it's undercarrage disassembled. It looked as if they were planning to transport it somewhere. But, of course, I have no idea if it's headed to St.Louis or not.
  15. That's interesting about Tidal Wave. Keep in mind the cost of removing it alone would be prohibitive, let alone getting the area ready for some type of new ride to go in. The removal of Aquaman Splashdown here at SFOT was a massive undertaking, it took months for the ride to be completely torn down. They've only just now finished moving the last of the ride debris out of the park. That plus getting the trees out of the way so construction can begin on the new Aquaman: Power Wave. My guess would be some type of refurbishment using parts salvaged from our old ride plus the one at SFOG.
  16. La Vibora should be first, it's a low capacity ride with long wait times.
  17. Anyone planning to attend Fright Fest this year? There are going to be 3 new haunted houses this year- Art Of Torture, Alien Incubator and Curse Of Ra. Plus upgraded Scare Zones with complete interaction. Also, existing haunted houses such as Piggy's Blood Shed and Hell Block 6 are getting revamped with new set pieces. And last, but not least, there's a brand new Halloween Awakening show this year.
  18. Look who I ran into today at the park!!! Bryant from SFOT Source!!
  19. Since it's the only one of it's kind in North America people will be coming from all over to give it a try.
  20. Aquaman: Power Wave is a great name for what will be the first Mack Power Splash in North America! Year-round operations was something I had been expecting since SFFT starting doing it. Bonzai Pipeline is a nice bonus! Always good to have something new and fun added to the water park!
  21. I'm on board with these extreme thrill rides! Congrats!
