I'd bet it was budget cuts. There's a reason why Ride of Steel only has 1 train. Bizarro at SFNE still has mist effects... I bet it was a budget cut too. Also Ride of Steel has two trains, every coaster at the park does. From what I heard, every coaster only ran one train this year due a dispute between managements. Maybe someone knows more or could help explain it better. Not every coaster at Darien Lake runs two trains, Boomerang and the kiddie coaster always ran one train. I wouldn't think the reason that the coasters at Darien Lake the have more than one train are on single train operation is that of a dispute with Herschend and CNL. I would think that the second trains are just going under refurbishment.

I don't get why would they remove the mist effect when Six Flags sold Darien Lake? a misty effect has nothing to do with Superman unless it was suppose to resemble clouds in the sky because Superman flies!

I think Darien Lake just needs one new coaster and I mean new, not a used coaster from another park more specifically a family coaster for kids in 42" inches and taller range even if they have ride it with an adult!

^I think they got ride of Ride of Steel's mist when Six Flags sold the park and the park was forced to dump the "Superman" branding from it!

Fairly Odd-Coaster

"Hell's Ride", but due to safety concerns from Six Flags, Six Flags Magic Mountain was forced to get rid of it. Meanwhile at Darien Lake they were busy making plans for the 2014 season...

Just out of curiosity, did Ride of Steel ever had mist effects on it? I know that Mind Eraser had a mist effect, but I was unsure if Ride of Steel had mist or not.
