As the article is from January I can see this test run beeing maintained by S & S.. but on the other hand this test run could just be a part of a investigation led by the court or the owners.

@Jew: nope, sounds like a massive lawsuit is coming down the pipe for S&S Powers. I spent 30 mins to translate the most important parts of an article from Rhein-Newspaper released in January 2013. In my opinion it summarizes all events but it is very detailed so I summarized it once again. See it as a lazy translation... if other German-speakers want to explain something in detail... go for it! BTW I dont know if this article paints a true picture of the behavior of S&S or if its too influenced by the owners point of view. But if it is true.. I don't really understand S&S... especially thinking about image and PR. Answer to your question concerning the Resort. Europa Park Resort is the name of all five theme hotels. Hotel Colosseo (4 star +) themed around the Roman Colosseum Hotel Santa Isabel (4 star +) themed around a Portuguese Monastery Hotel El Andaluz (4 stars) themed as a Spanish Villa Hotel Castillo Alcazar (4 stars) themed as a Spanish Finca Hotel Bell Rock (4 star +) themed around New England I have been in all of them but Bell Rock, from the four Hotels I have already stayed I like Colosseo and Stanta Isabel the most. Both are pretty different. Colosseo is a cool and classy event hotel (in my opinion) and Santa Isabel has a very protected and escape-ish vibe. In general I would say all of them are great - just take a look at the webpage and book what looks most appealing to you. BTW if you are searching a low budget solution - take a look at the tipi village

I am not active in here but i just had to answer. I have been a Oktoberfest guide sine 2008 to pay my college education. It is true that you can't just jump into the Oktoberfest experience and some of the international tourists are somehow disappointed if the arrive totally unprepared BUT with some preparation and reading you will get the fun and defenetly enough Beer. Judging from several trip reports about the TPR Oktoberfest Trips you will get a prefetctly prepared trip planned by Robb and Elissa that even seems to be superior to the most trips of the munich based travel agencies. I really recommed a trip to Oktoberfest: After 3 years of guiding groups from all over the world through the Theresienwiese I never met a tourist that did not enjoy it. Best Regards from Germany David P.S. The Wasen in Stuttgart is nice and in some ways very authentic, but its far away from the size, fun and experience of Oktoberfest.

@KDcoasterMAN I dont really think there is a big difference in quality between Intamin and Mack .. I really dont understand your reply: IMO the seats arrangments of MACK are way better than any Intamin Coaster out there, and I think if the costumer (BGW) ordered a intense version of the LSM- Mack (not a family coaster like Blue Fire), that could turn out very good! I think it would be awsome to see another company involved in the project than Intamin, i am not in favour of those copy paste things between BGA and BGE (Dive Machine)
