  1. As always, I look forward to whatever rides/attractions Cedar Point has to offer. So far, they haven't disappointed me whatsoever. I've been to many attractions that have turned out to be complete let-downs, but Cedar Point always promises to deliver in terms of excitement. Gosh, I sound like I'm a spokesperson for them. Ha ha ha. XP
  2. While I love roller coasters, I become really, really sick about 95% of the time. Many people have suggested Dramamine, but it knocks me out like a light. Therefore, it kind of defeats the purpose of me even GOING to a theme park. Honestly, the best thing for my stomach (personally) is to have a BIG breakfast a few hours before going on any rides. Then once the day is over, I eat a huge meal. If I eat anything during the day (aside from small snacks), it comes right back up. Of course, these are just things I do. I've suggested these to other people and they look at me like I'm psycho. LOL.
  3. These pictures are amazing, Chuck (I'm assuming CFC is Chuck, lol). Everything from the Mall of America pictures to the Holiday World Pics are fantastic! I've never been to the Mall of America, but their theme park areas look like they're pretty darn fun. Talk about commercialism at its fullest! As for Holiday World -- I still haven't been there. I recently moved from New York City to Indianapolis and haven't taken the trip to Santa Claus, Indiana. When does the park officially close or doesn't it?
  4. Let's break this up. Helen Hunt went to Orlando. She went to Universal Studios to ride HER OWN RIDE where she gives a groundbreaking preshow performance. After the ride, she went to the gift shop and bought merchandise from a shop centered around a ride based on a movie that she was in. THEN, she mentioned that a 3D sequel was in the works. This is enough info right here for Universal to say "Let's keep Twister around and get ready to make some changes down the road based solely on Helen Hunt's rumor." Or maybe she was told to ride the ride to prepare for the role again. Is Helen Hunt going to be a method actor and always act like she's in a tornado? Too much info, but the bottom line is this - I now have a reason to wake up every morning as long as this project remains alive. I wasn't even aware that the Twister ride still existed! I can't believe it's still around. I remember it being one of my favorite attractions at Universal Studios. And I too, agree. While the story of keeping the ride around is long-winded and convoluted, I'm still satisfied that the ride is going to prevail. My reasoning for waking up in the morning? Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure. Ha ha ha ha!
  5. Hi, everyone! My name is Georgia and I'm a newbie to the forums. I'm absolutely fanatical about roller coasters and most things theme park related. . . .especially funnel cakes and lemon shake-ups. LOL. More importantly, I'm obsessed with the Six Flags theme parks, in particular. Their coasters are loads of fun and I simply love the franchise. Not sure how obsessed everyone else is with Six Flags exactly, but I'm glad to be amongst fellow theme park lovers. Hope to talk to, and meet everyone very, very soon!
