  1. It still holds up (especially near the end of the day, or when it's been raining), but yeah, if it wasn't for WC, it would be the only thing worth going to the park for.
  2. I was there on Friday, and yeah, even with the overcast weather and frequent drizzles and the ops really trying to crank out that train as fast as was safely possible, it was a solid half-hour wait. They were apologizing for the one-train operations, which leads me to believe that it was due to something on the train breaking and necessitating a visit to the shop.
  3. The uncertainty of the potential storm coupled with the often-brutal sun did keep a lot of people in the water park yesterday, but when I was sitting on a bench near it, the line was so short that it never filled up the train. I'll have to see if it's like that on a busier day, but I really wouldn't be surprised if the word is out that it beats the hell out of its riders.
  4. Goliath is a money pit at this point. I was there yesterday (didn't ride it, especially not with the gnawing headache that was already hindering my enjoyment of the day) and I don't think I even saw it go out with a full train once because the line was so short. No one likes the thing on the rare occasions where it is operational, and even if they brought back the old trains, the damage was done a while ago.
  5. Deicide in Manchester, NH. Got to kick off a bucket list entry. The Absence: KINDA the odd band out on the bill, but they played a lot of their heavy songs. Also absolutely killed it, with tons of energy and crowd engagement. A lot of people clearly didn't know them, but they won over the crowd by the first song. Jungle Rot: Definitely a "see 'em live" band, but they were fun. Dunno what Jimmy did to his leg, but he had a BAD limp. Origin: It's Origin. 'Nuff said. Tore the place apart and had the best set of the night. Deicide: Didn't move too much (aside from the new guitarist), but they were clearly enjoying themselves onstage, and people were losing their minds for them. I liked the setlist, too; plenty of old-school songs, but just enough stuff from the new album and songs from their good modern albums to keep things fresh.
  6. Not anymore.....lol....poor Goliath Who wants to put down money on this being its last season before they put it out of its misery? The thing hemorrhages money and has done so for most of its time in the park. I can't imagine them wanting to keep dealing with the same problems that never seem to get better for much longer.
  7. Dude, she's a kid, just move on. Yeah, what she's saying is annoying and irrelevant to the topic at hand, but your increasingly obsessive mad-on for her is every bit as disruptive and, frankly, inappropriate. I posted tons of stupid things on message boards when I was sixteen, and even when I look back at some of those archived posts, the only thing more childish than my posts were the overly angry adult posters who would not let go of how bad my posts were.
  8. Inferi - The Endless Siege Yes, my copy of The End of an Era|Rebirth arrived early. No, I'm not sharing.
