Year 2002 - Construction Boomerang Bay construction Another look at the entrance and hotel construction. The entrance will be divided into 3 buildings. The main entrance. The season pass processing and designated entrance. And the hotel entrance. Please comment. I think I am going to be kind of slow with the building so please be patient. It also does not help that my graphic card sucks. -

More press release on ride details. Paramount will purchase rights for some of the movies and dramas in Korea to suit the general Korean public. Translated from a Korean Theme Park Blog If you want to know the story line behind these movies/dramas, check them out on imdb or watch them! -

The reason why CW is so neglected is because it faces no competition from surrounding attractions. Honestly CW is the only theme park in Ontario and most people have no choice to go to CW and they want to visit a theme park. I think the idea of CW for CF is that no matter how much neglect they put into this park, people will still crowd. I hope they broke out of this ideologies during the attendance drop and will hopefully have something for future years. CP = roller coaster capital of the World CW = flat ride capital of the World Good job CF, you made another slogan... Still miss Paramount -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
weetopia2 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am going to guess that CP had contacted Funtime about a 400 feet tall Star Flyer however did not fully contract the deal. Instead CP chose Mondial and that's probably what triggered Funtime's lawsuit. Ah... I love America. -

Funtime... Jealous much If this is the case every company that produces a swinging frisbee type ride should sue each other. (Which is practically every flat ride company....) I think that Mondial's ride is a totally different concept. It may look similar but it's a totally different ride. And no wonder Cedar Point chose this over a star flyer. It has a sturdier design, higher capacity, and it's Mondial. Glad to see more Mondial flat rides get built. Funtime should be sued for making outrageously large low capacity thrill rides that usually become extra charge rides in parks. -
^Actually what stopped the Arrow Suspended Corkscrew Coaster was the fact that the train required a lethal amount of centrifugal g-force in order to stay perpendicular to the tracks. That was why in the model the corkscrew was about 1/3 the size of the actual drop and the train zipped through it. Very interested about this project since this could definitely compare to the Intamin Prefabs.

RCT4?
weetopia2 replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ Not surprised because there are more RCT2 builders in TPR than RCT3 builders. Funny because there used to be more RCT3 builders and they all died out around the time I died out. Some are coming back like me but I want to see more come back to TPR... cough.. Steffen DK, Twister II etc. coasterdude5 has never stopped building his quality works and I greatly respect him for that. Only going to say that RCT3 allows more space for creativity and detail compared to the first two. -

IT'S NOT THAT I AM LAZY BUT MY GRAPHIC CARD SUCKS AT BRINGING OUT THE DETAILS. -
I would consider endurance on a coaster an accomplishment when it is done on: Vekoma Boomerang, Giant Inverted Boomerang, Invertigo -Vekoma + Backwards x many times = (x.x) Spinning Coasters -Especially the WTF kind like Comet Express Extremely Short Kiddie Coaster -You'd be bored to death. Rough Woodies -Get an ambulance ready Zamperla Volares -Why would you do that Stand-Ups -Challenge even for females Otherwise, I would love to do something like this But I do acknowledge the guy's age... wow.. 78.

I think that you need to raise the block brakes a lot! The thing that would make or break this coaster would be the terraforming and theming around it so hope to see those soon! -

I dug this up and I finally supported it Supporting the ride made insane head-choppers on the ride Enjoy and comment Airgonaut.nltrack -
I was thinking about a cheap and effective way to create a thrilling ride for parks that have financial and space and height restrictions. We all know that Alton Towers tried to solve the problem of money, space and height restriction by creating TH13TEEN, which we all know miserably failed in becoming the "Scariest Ride in the World". I decided to work with the most compact and thrilling roller coaster design out there: THE BOOMERANG. Track Length 285 [m] / 935 [ft] Lift Height 35.5 [m] / 116.5 [ft] Max. Speed 75.6 [km/h] / 46.98 [mph] Nr. of Inversions 6 Footprint 88 x 30 [m] / 289 x 99 [ft] Min. Height requirement 1.20 [m] / 47.24 [inch] Nr. Coaches per train 7 Nr. Passengers per train 28 Nr. Trains 1 Also I took the theme of Final Destination 3 so that the theme of fear would be easier to establish in a smaller footprint. So this essentially is an enclosed Standard Vekoma Boomerang, however there are several differences that make the ride much more thrilling than the standard model. The ride starts backward. In the Station Riders enter in the station to find an empty Retro Arrow/Vekoma Corkscrew Train. They find that the first car is out of order so they start loading from the second car on. The Lift Hill The ride starts forward with loud clanking sound of the chains below. The view around the ride is of a lit-up fairground. The train almost reaches the top of the lift hill when it suddenly slows down and stops. You hear metal supports creaking and the wind whistling by. Then all of a sudden the second car breaks loose from the front car and the whole train rolls back down the lift hill. Ride Backward The train goes backward, upside down. You hear blood curdling screams as the people on the ride begin to fall out. Slowing Down The ride finally slows down on what seems to be a steep hill.It must be stuck on a piece of metal. You hear someone suggesting to rock the train so that it could roll forward back into the station. You feel the train begin to move. "Clank," and the train drops forward. Back into the Station You finally come back to the station alive. Here is a rough blue print of the first lift hill I drew just so that you get a brief idea. (I drew this in like 5 min, so bear with me) Here you can see how the "broken front car" acts as the towing car found on Vekoma Boomerangs. There are concept arts being drawn right now, so just you wait!

^Yes. It's an awesome template to work with. Hi guys! I made my way down to the park yesterday and got some pictures that show the immense amount of progress they have made. The new amphitheater, Sunshine Arc, is almost complete. It looks over the River Rapids. On the left you can see the entrance to the new museum (retrofitted hotel entrance) that has a wonderful ride inside (secret) Inside the queue line! Progress! Look at the variety of building styles you can see just from here! I hope to introduce the new ride soon! It's worth the wait! -
