  1. ^^Nice job on the invert! ^... Speechless.
  2. ^Let's not bring politics into this. This coaster is looking better and better.
  3. I have a few points of contention with your parks. We aren't trying to be mean here, but thelegendarymatthew is right. The rides can be built, yes, but the manufacturer would never think of building one like it. I guess the designs are too abstract and all over the place and just not all that great. RCT2 guests may like it, but as my friend said to me when I was trying to get better, RCT guests also like five corkscrews after one another on a simple Arrow. Also, it's just not possible for an entire ride to be built over water. I would understand it being built over a lake, but out into the ocean/river/whatever this island is on, no way. Maintenance costs would be through the roof, and what if the ride rolls back or something? You think someone would take a rowboat out, climb up some roller coaster track and take everybody down one by one? Also, sorry, but it definitely did not take four years of studying on how to do your paths. Maybe four game years, if even. What it looks like now is just shops every five feet, and a straight path two tiles wide. If you're building the park for you, and not aiming anywhere near realistic, of course that's fine with us and TPR as you are a valued member of these forums. But if when finally someone pops up and gives you some criticism, you blow up in your faces about only building for you and no one else...why bother posting up these updates? If it's for you and you only, and you refuse to listen to people's opinions, what point does it make to take the time to make another post? If all you want are the guests happy, then why isn't that huge smile on their information box enough for you? We are trying to help you and make you into a better player, not hurt your feelings or to make you upset. If someone gives you some criticism, take it to heart. You don't have to, but don't blow up in their faces about it. I posted my stuff (as do many others) to become better, and I can definitely say I've evolved into a better player by listening and reacting in a positive way. Once you change your mindset to impressing others, you start to impress yourself, and it's much better when the people you're trying to impress are actually real. I'm not in any way trying to offend you, but I thought I had some valuable points.
  4. Why? There are lots of parks without themed areas. There's also some that try, but basically there's no themed area. coughcedarfaircough
  5. ^Keep in mind everythings underdeveloped at this point, I'll go over everything with finishing touches later! Red Rover got a new plaza. SCR176.BMP Anyways, in case you guys were wondering, I am aiming for ABSOLUTE realism. What I did was pick a random city I've never heard of (Kingstree) and tried to make an amusement park out of it's rea landscape. It didn't give me much to work with, just the Black River (which you can see borders Blue Abyss). I made the road plans to fit specifically into the open area that Kingstree had to offer. Here is a rough plan of what the park would look like if real: The gray are roads/parking lots, The purple is the land the park owns, and the red is the resort. What do you think?
  6. Well, up n ext- Christmas town! I'll be sure to make it up there again this year (and hopefully on a day about 42 degrees).
  7. By the time I headed back to 305 for a night ride(passed on it) the line was all the way up to FOF.Grizz also had a line down the ramp at around 9 pm or so. Grizzly had a line?! That really shows how PACKED the place was! Sheesh!
  8. The GP really gets on my nerves. And I don't want to make a complete @$$ of myself by correcting them. Especially when people don't go on i305 because they don't wanna die. (blacking out)
  9. Just looking at that screen makes my head hurt
  10. Taking a wild guess here, but November 2010.
  11. Alrigt, well good luck with the park and I'm looking forward to seeing your design on the front page sometime soon!
  12. ^Since you said you were getting rid of an entire kids area, I think all those objects gone will make up for the colorable tiles (especially if you get the larger ones). All the deleted objects from the leftover space (if there are any) should make up for it. Am I making sense, or do I just sound like a complete idiot?
  13. Crazy, I've never seen RY with a line barely out of the station! What was the longest wait of the night?
  14. The color scheme is to go along with the bright and colorful section of the park it's in. A lot of the buildings are colored bright like that (this is near the main entry plaza). You'll see pictures of that later when it's completely finished. @DJ: It's big enough to hold a theater. I was going for more of the look outside, that's why it's so big.
  15. Dj, are you planning on changing the color of the land?
  16. Everything looks very cluttered right now. If you take your great ideas and spread them out a bit, add a little more architecture, you're on your way as a GREAT player!
  17. You know, all you really needed to do was go to ParkDat and get the colorable tiles so you could just omit the empty land like that. No need to go back to the scenario editor and start all over again!
  18. ^&^^Thanks! "Kingstree Theater" shows special 3-D and 4-D movies designed for Grand Grove only, so you won't see these films anywhere else! SCR175.BMP
  19. Huh, you're right, but Dotrobot, I suggest 0 clearance so you don't have to have that section of path that goes up and down.
  20. Can't wait for that full thread!
  21. Yeah, the exit path isn't the greatest in my opinion...
  22. My family always regards to the inverts as "the one you hang down from", and never rides them because they think ALL rides that "you hang down from" bang your head around. Stopped them from riding Wicked Twister with me.
  23. ^ I personally like "Crystal King's Rocky Fling"...so catchy!
