  1. So I gave the park a spin and I have to say it's a wonderful start. The rides looked very cool but in some spots the pacing was off (notably the dueling inverts). What I feel you should do is focus on one specific area before moving onto another. The park is entirely too spaced out, and there are long empty pathway with no rides and I feel some of the rides you have in lone locations could be moved there and reduce the park's size by nearly half. Here are some screens with my pro's and cons; SCR220.BMP This I feel was the strongest area. It felt the most complete and the path interaction was great. SCR221.BMP The turnaround for this was very cool, but my only complaint is the completely straight drop. Most GCI's have twisted, banked drops and it looks like you could have incorporated that into the turnaround. Check out this photo of Apocalypse at Six Flags Magic Mountain; http://rcdb.com/4173.htm?p=23243 . It would have looked even better if you did something similar! Being creative with GCI drops is always fun. SCR222.BMP This invert, while good eye candy, really had poor pacing throughout the corkscrews and some of the overbanked turns. It looks great I have to admit, it really fits into it's compact area well. But for some people that'll see this, the pacing might ruin the effect. It's usually best to pay attention to how the coaster rides over how it looks, at least in my opinion....though a coaster like this one that looks so good could make an exception! SCR223.BMP This is an example of the park being to spread out. The dueling invert could have fit nicely along this pathway, along with some of the other coasters. You would have eliminated entire section in the back corner and decreased the amount of unused land inside the park's borders. I hope this helps as it's a superb start. I'm sorry in advance if I come off as a little too harsh, I just wanted to share my opinion and I seemed to have focused on the negatives over the positives. But really, keep up the good work and I look forward to future projects! -Braztaz
  2. Hmm....I'm thinking Son of Beast as well...
  3. Busch Gardens recently released an update for Vantage Point on their facebook, so i think we'll be seeing one for Mach Tower soon.
  4. That sounds amazing!
  5. I was thinking because it's not the "tradition" B&M or SLC.
  6. Kings Dominion doesn't have one, if Volcano doesn't count.
  7. 1. Millennium Force 2. Intimidator 305 3. Top Thril Dragster 4. Maverick 5. Apollo's Chariot 6. Magnum XL-200 7. Griffon 8. Raptor 9. Alpengeist 10. Wicked Twister Should be very updated next year
  8. Someone made a comment about CP's ride ops in another thread, and I have to agree. EVERY single ride op is excellent whatever day I go. An operator at Iron Dragon (which all the kids there LOVED) would always say "If you're ready to ride Iron Dragon, you have to ROAR!" And all the kids in the line were roaring and the ops had signs they held up as they left saying "I <3 Iron Dragon!". It was really cool and all the kids had a blast. Maverick's op was just plain hilarious and had a ton of enthusiasm (so did MF and Magnum), and Blue Streak's made a joke about being too enthusiastic about the ride saying "I hope you LOVED the best ride here at Cedar Point! It has to be considering we haven't had a line all day!" I didn't meet one bad, unthoughtful employee. But that's just my two cents...
  9. Looking nice! And I wonder why they removed SkyCoaster...it seemed like a nice addition and got the park some extra bucks out of people's wallets. Oh well, it looks like a nice flat would fit in there...
  10. This is a little old but I thought it was worth sharing...
  11. It looks AMAZING! Can't wait to see more photos! But, I would fix these parts of the press release; you forgot to replace some! "3,602 feet of blazing red, orange and yellow twisted steel track barely visible intertwined through the mountainside" "tallest, fastest and longest flying coaster on Planet Earth" Just wanted to point these out! EDIT: Glad you got them sorted out!
  12. ^Loving that picture of Batman in the rain. Can't wait for the announcement!
  13. Actually, footless coasters aren't actually an acquired term in the industry; it was a typo made by the user on youtube. He meant to say floorless. ( )
  14. ^I find the "sheikra was made first so griffen is a copy of sheikra" more painful to read...
  15. I'm wondering about this as well. It's been very secretive as of late.
  16. Let's just end this discussion and go with "Maverick with the heartline roll" (yes, I'm joking)
  17. Rare: not widely known; especially valued for its uncommonness; With Robb's restrictions, I think we should change the discussion to what ride would be rare...because I'm coming to a blank!
  18. ^I just read through the whole thing as well. I picked up on a lot of things I've forgotten over the months. The park feels so real!
  19. About time! Sad to hear that about SFML, hopefully I'll be seeing that sometime soon. I've seen these shots before, except for the shot of the water park which is coming along very nicely.
  20. ^Change the color of the waterfalls to a darker blue. ^^Thanks for the advice! I'll get started on that.
  21. It's also my concern that on a lot of days, SFMM will go by their usual standards and only operate maybe 2 cars. I mean it hasn't stopped them from running one train on Tatsu, Goli\ath, etc... This is gonna be a capacity nightmare.
