  1. Dorney Park (across the street)
  2. I can honestly see these being made bigger and more aggressive and marketed as thrill rides That would be sweet! I know it probably wouldn't be able to have four adult riders in the car at a time...but it just seems like one of those kiddie rides that a lot of "big kids" would want to try.
  3. I know this is supposed to be a kiddie ride, but I can see future TPR takeovers happening on these!
  4. Mad Mouse (Quassy) Great American Scream Machine (SFGAdv) Hercules (Dorney Park) Laser (Dorney Park) (Relocated) Little Laser (Dorney Park) Dragon Coaster (Dorney Park) (Relocated) High Speed Thrill Coaster (Knoebels) Chaos (Opryland USA) Wabash Cannonball (Opryland USA)
  5. Thunderhawk at Dorney Park--I was working there yesterday morning and rode for the test ride as part of opening procedures. Here is a picture I took during the Haunt last year (thus the fog everywhere and the red light), when Thunderhawk's entrance was converted to the entrance of one of the Haunt attractions (Steel Force is in the background): Thunderhawk Haunt pic.bmp
  6. -Flying snake dive on Stormrunner -Double up on Phoenix -Pretzel loops Least favorite=Flatspins/corkscrews (they tend to make my head bang)
  7. My fiancé and I got the Taxi Jam credit at Kings Dominion last year because I'm under 60 inches tall, and he was "accompanied" by me. The ride op made some comment about needing to be under 60, and then when we told her I was, she measured me and said something like, "Oh yeah you are! Well that's okay, so am I!" And she bent down so her head was below the height stick.
  8. The train itself is nothing special, but I like the coloring of the Zoomerang train at Lake Compounce (my pictures don't show the train very well at all, unfortunately). Also, I thought Chaos train at Opryland USA (RIP) was kind of interesting because of how it seemed to go on forever. I also agree with everyone who said Dueling Dragons--I especially like Ice Dragon!
  9. I don't know which hotels offer packages with park tickets, but when my fiancé and I go to Dollywood we stay at the Econo Lodge Riverside in Pigeon Forge (on the Parkway at traffic light #2). He actually calls it the "Econo-Hilton" because the rooms are very nice and it just doesn't even seem like an Econo Lodge. The prices are good and the staff is always very nice too! Your best bet as far as tickets to the park might actually be to buy season passes, as the price of a season pass is less than the price of two one-day tickets, plus then you can get in for the rest of the year in case you happen to go back. Unfortunately I don't know much about how crowded the park is in the summer since all of my trips there have been during the Christmas season, but hopefully I've helped a little at least! Have fun on your trip!
  10. This will be my 5th season working at Dorney Park, and I will be working at Demon Drop this year (currently being rebuilt from CP).
  11. Yeah, that ride came to my mind too...not that I felt like I was going to fall out, because the lap bar was there, but those shoulder restraints kind of freaked me out. They just seemed really weird. Interesting ride though!
