^They were popular, but I don't think they were popular enough. I think the fact that they get lumped in with "glam" holds them back, because they really weren't glam. They were just straight hard rock with a bluesy vibe. Still of the Night is still one of my all time favorite songs, and I like songs from quite a wide variety of rock and metal. King Diamond - "Charon"

Whitesnake - "Bad Boys" Easily the most underrated of the 80s hard rock bands.

^You must have had it wrap around your leg or something, because the times I've been stung have not been bad at all. I just got some vinegar spray from the lifeguards, rubbed some sand on it, sat in the hot tub for about ten minutes and it was like it never happened. My dad had that happen like eight or so years ago where it wrapped around him and he still has a scar to this day.

The Faceless - "In Solitude" I always have a hard time listening to death metal, but this is one of the very few bands from that genre that I enjoy.

Is anyone else excited for Destiny? My PS3 yellow-lighted, and Gamestop doesn't accept consoles that yellow-lighted, so I was planning on getting a PS4 for The Last Of Us: Remastered, but now Destiny has really intrigued me. I may be making the decision to get a new console sooner than I originally expected because of it.

My current biggest fear is having a child of mine die. That's just the most unthinkable tragedy possible, and it doesn't seem like something anyone can ever recover from. I know it's statistically almost impossible to happen to me, but accidents can happen. I would not be able to live if that were to happen to me. Honestly, even though I really really want to have a kid, this fear is giving me reservations about it just in the slim chance it could happen.

Walking Corpse Syndrome - "Walking Sacrifice" This band is interesting. They call themselves "atmospheric death metal," although they aren't heavy enough to be death metal. They use death metal and sometimes black metal style vocals, but the music doesn't have the brutality of death metal, and it creates an atmosphere kinda like Tool. They're not as complex as Tool, but they do have the same dark atmosphere. Their sound is also very clean and polished, which also doesn't fit the description of death metal. I really don't know how to classify them, they don't really fit any subgenre of metal. I really like them, and I think they're worth checking out. Their stuff may be hard to find because they don't have a label and have a very small following, I only found them because one of the drummers(they use 2, playing the exact same thing) is a member of a forum I go to.

Listen to Pyrrhon - The Mother of Virtues and get back to me about that. Eh... I just can't get into most death metal because of those vocals they use. I like early Opeth, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Meshuggah, and Arch Enemy but that's about it for death metal for me. I've tried, but the vocals ruin it for me.

^There was one time where my mom and I were coming home from work and in the middle of our street were two preteen girls riding their bikes, swerving back and forth across the road like they owned it, WEARING HEADPHONES! One swerved right in front of us and we almost hit her, and she couldn't hear the van coming or even the horn because she was listening to music. It's a really good thing my mom is such a vigilant driver, because that could have ended very badly.

I'm planning on starting a music blog soon dedicated to rock/metal reviews, news, upcoming artists, among other stuff, and it needs a logo. The name of the blog will be "The Foundry," and I want the logo to have the aesthetic of 1980's thrash metal band logos. Here are some examples of the aesthetic I'm going for for inspiration. The logos for some of the most popular thrash metal bands from the 80s. Remember, the name of the blog is going to be "The Foundry," and I would prefer multiple submissions to give me some options. Also, whoever's design I pick, I will give credit for in the blog. There's no timetable for when I need the logos by, so don't feel rushed. Thank you in advance for any help.
