  1. I went to SFMM with family the other day. They have season passes for SF up in NorCal (used to be Marineworld) and they were able to walk up to the turnstile with their passes. I used the $9.99 bring a friend deal and had to go to the ticket booth to buy that ticket with one of them and their pass. Hope this helps! jb
  2. We took our girls, ages 4 and 7 at the time, to Wild Rivers last summer and I was a little surprised when they would not allow them in the wave pool without life jackets. Both girls had taken lots of swimming lessons and I figured they could handle it. Once we got in there and the waves got going, I was VERY happy they required those life jackets. I don't know how the waves at Great America compare to Wild Rivers however the waves were very strong and even with the life jackets I was a nervous parent with the girls. I feel so badly for the family. I can't imagine losing a child. jen
  3. I saw all of you the night of this trip report (I think). I was at DTD with my family doing the Rainforest Cafe/Build a Bear thing for my daughter's birthday on Friday night and saw the whole group sitting at a table outside of Tortilla Jo's. When we walked by I was thinking to myself "why do those people look so familiar?" Then on the way back from BAB it clicked. I was going to come up and say 'hi' but we were running late for our check in time at RFC. Anyhow...um...yeah. So I guess that's my TPR sighting for the year. jen
  4. I worked at Disneyland as an "Attractions Hostess" in Tomorrowland for about a year - 1992 or so. I started on Autopia, then Star Tours and lastly Space Mountain. During that same time period I worked as a Haunt Monster for one season. I am currently working for Disneyland again as a parade performer, since 2000. jb
  5. We had two girls and named them Jacquelyn and Katelyn. When we found out we were pregnant again we chose Madelyn Nicole - then we had a boy. Sooo, I will pass that suggestion along to you. We only chose that spelling so that it went along with the other two girls. There are other ways to spell it. Madelyn Nicole Alvey...then her nickname could be Madi Good luck and congrats! jen
  6. This topic is making me hungry and everything has WAAAY too many 'points' for me (for any of you WW people, you'll know what I'm talkin about). Anyway. I have to agree with those who mentioned: Knott's Berry Farm for their Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and most importantly BISCUITS with boysenberry jam! I could eat just those and be happy. I also like the boysenberry punch and their funnel cakes when they make them fresh. My other favorite theme park food is at Legoland in Carlsbad. The Market at the back of the park usually has some great choices made fresh and they vary from visit to visit in my experience. In Downtown Disney, Anaheim, I love the Beignets (not sure if that counts as a theme park food or not) If Food Network needs any help, eating or otherwise, send them my way! jen
  7. Hi all! I am wondering if any of you happen to know who is offering Wild Rivers Discount Tickets? My daughter got a free pass from her reading program at school but that still leaves my husband, myself and my 4-year old and I didn't realize that admission for adults is almost $30! I keep seeing these great coupons for Soak City and figured I could find a similar deal but haven't had any luck. Any thoughts? Thanks! jen
