I'm a little late to this one, but I thought the rides I had on Boss on Halloween night 2009 were AMAZING. Right now, it ranks at #12 out of 74 currently ranked woodies. The three big drops and the double helix of death were completely insane! I think if it had better rolling stock than the G-trains, it would rank even higher. But that's just me.

^So a near-vertical, 200 foot drop with winged trains and lap bars that goes into a turn maybe 5 feet off the ground doesn't excite you? What does excite you? -
The Timberliner on Wooden Warrior was incredibly comfortable. We still have to wait and see if the maintenance benefits are as good as advertised, but it was definitely a comfy ride. It's a shame this ride doesn't have them, but maybe the Chinese will be better at maintaining a wooden coaster than some of our American parks are.

If you want to get technical, the Rhine River is a man-made lake, not a river. There really isn't any flow to it. -

^^So we could end up with the world's first combination Stengel Dive/splashdown. I think that's a good thing. And it could even turn out to be an Aquatrax! -

^That makes sense, and I know B&M loves to have consistent speed on their rides. I just hate that pfffiiiissshhhhhhh noise wish a burning passion. -

Fahrenheit is stunningly average to me. Not counting bobsleds, it's my least favorite Intamin coaster. And it rattles............BAD. -

I don't get it. Why engineer a portion of a ride knowing that it'll need a trim? Why not just engineer it a little differently so it doesn't need it? Then again, I've never designed a roller coaster before, so I'm a little ignorant in the ways of the engineering, but it seems silly to design a coaster with trims rather than try to make the layout so that it doesn't need them. -

They never ran both trains except on weekends. Ever. So I wonder how much difference the new layout really made. -

That drop is going to be absolutely glorious. -
^I agree that Pepsi and Mountain Dew throwback are pretty spectacular (Mountain Dew in general, really), but Coke has the edge overall I think. Sprite is better than Sierra Mist, regular Coke is better than regular Pepsi, and Cherry Coke is about even with Cherry Pepsi. Coke Zero is pretty much better than any "diet" soda by either company. Mello Yello is disgusting, though.

Please find the post and quote where anyone said that. I think the only major comparison that has been made is the lift hills, which ARE almost identical (except for height, of course). Nobody thinks that Hershey is ripping KD off, nobody thinks SkyRush will be diminished by 305, and nobody thinks it's a bad thing that SkyRush was created with 305 in mind. I'd much rather they channel the spirit of 305 than some crap ride. This thread has been a headache wrapped around a train wreck for about the last 8 pages. Just let it go, Hershey people. Nobody is saying anything bad about your new ride. -

The support for the crown of the lift is going to be directly under the track. Basically, they beef up the steel and make "super lift hill track." It creates an arch (like the one in St. Louis) that can support itself. The lift hill of Intimidator 305 was built in pretty much the same exact fashion. This is a picture of the 305 lift hill track prior to construction that shows you how massive it really is. -

I still don't get it, but it's all about how it rides. They could paint the damn thing clear and I wouldn't care. -

Are the yellow painted supports supposed to look like a lightning bolt striking where the drop is? I don't get it. -
