There are 16 separate lines in the station, and two guests go in all 16 rows. -

:dingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingding: Quite a double standard, isn't it? -
^Yeah I gotta imagine that is the case. I also heard a rumbling from someone that got pretty reliable information about the lift hill having some structural issues as far back as opening weekend. Nothing catastrophic, just that the lift track was going crooked due to not enough lateral support in the lift hill. Intamin seemed to really stretch the limits on this coaster, and it's starting to become apparent that they may have overstepped the boundaries a bit.

There's a fin on each side where the original trim is. It's a bit tough to see in the picture just because of the angle, but there are two fins there. I don't know if the object on the first drop is just the beginning of the process to add a trim, but that's what it appears to be. One would think there would be two sides to a trim on the first drop (just like the original trim), so who knows how this will turn out.

I went to the illegal POV in question, and instead of posting it, got a couple screen captures from it. I hate to say it, but the mysterious object on the first drop looks eerily similar to one of the brackets that holds the trim later in the ride. You can be the judge. 305 drop.bmp Object on the drop. 305 trim.bmp Original trim.

Just so you know, Gator Nation is at Nighthawk, as well. :chomp: Nice pics, and I'm glad you had a good time! -

There's no way in Sam Hill that CP will put in a Top Spin. Jeff Putz is the same guy that thought the footer for Dragster was a new restaurant. I would be willing to bet my car on the fact that they won't put in a Top Spin. They're outdated, unreliable, not unique, and just crappy rides. -
Trims were added to the first drop of Mantis at CP. I am not against trims if they make the intensity better for the majority of the riders. (I know this does not include many enthusiasts). Call me crazy, but I like the trim on Mantis. You get nice hang time in the loop when it's on. A trim could affect a ride like 305 a lot more though because it's designed for speed, but we'll have to wait and see just how bad (or not) it really is. I'll be there in a few weeks to find out for myself.

Just wondering, cause basically every coaster that opened since Magnum either broke a record or introduced something new to the industry. So while maybe you thought they might have been boring, they surely weren't "uninspired." Mean Streak and DT are definite suckitude rides, but I can't believe you didn't get airtime on Magnum. You could be the first person I've ever known of that's said that. Where did you sit in the train?

Oh basketball gods, please let the Celtics dispose of the most overhyped player in professional sports history tonight.
