  1. Is it just me or aren't shoes requirements on most rides? Whats with the bare feet on the floorless coaster? Good TR though. I want to get to the east coast soon to do all those amazing coasters!
  2. So this is me breaking my trip report cherry!! Please be gentle ! Friday My Wife and I checked out Silverwood. The weather was great, the crowds were light and Tremors was amazing! We did all four coasters ( missed the kiddie coaster) and thought that the two woodies were by far the best coasters there. The average wait was about 20 minutes, although Timber Terror was a walk up when we did it. Here is a short review of the rides we hit, in the order that we did them. The Corkscrew: Ugh I really didn't enjoy this bad boy Thunder Canyon: Decent theme. We got way more soaked in the middle of the day than we did 30 minutes after the park opened. My wife loved this ride so we did it 5 times! Tremors: This bad boy was simply awesome! Now I haven't been on very many coasters, but this was pretty much my number one coaster of all time! Log Flume: This guy was just okay. Would probably just skip it on our next trip. You just did not get very wet. After the log flume we breaked for lunch and some yummy brisket! After lunch we hit the train ride and its amazing to see how much land silverwood actually owns. After the Train we got changed and hit Boulder beach. We relaxed for awhile in the lazy river and took a couple of rides on Avalanche mountain. After awhile at the beach we headed back toward the coasters and Hit Aftershock and Timber Terror. I though Aftershock was okay. Definitely not the best steel coaster I've been. As for Timber Terror I really really enjoyed it. The air time was awesome and I dont think it was rough at all! Anyways we ended our day with one more run on Tremors and a last run on Thunder Canyon (My wifes fave ride of the day!). All in all a great day. I would assume that crowds are gonna start getting heavy next weekend (Fourth of July). 3. So I've read through this whole thread and I've got an observation. From my point of view the curious thing is the location. It seems to me that there is a high concentration of parks in the S.E. U.S.. So to put a park with so little going for it smack dab right in the middle of this seems a bit ridiculous to me. I live in the Seattle area and I think this area screams for a park of at least this magnitude. Heck even the Rock 'n' Roll theme would work well IMO. I kept reading Las Vegas over and over again as a possible better locale, so I thought I would throw something a little different into the discussion. What do you guys think?? P.S. Sorry for the rambling. I'm new to this posting stuff, but I love this site!
  4. My Home Parks are: Wild Waves 45 minutes Silverwood 5 hours I live just north of Seattle so its kind of a no theme park zone.
  5. This sounds like alot of fun! It broke my heart when I heard that the fire destroyed all that cinematic history.
  6. The Foo Fighters, July 9th, 2008 at Key Arena, Seattle Wa. Flat out the greatest show I've ever been to!
  7. I was pleasantly surprised! This was a great movie! I didn't really know what to expect, But I'll never forget the goosebumps I felt at the end of the movie as the Star Trek theme plays and Leonard Nemoy says " Space, the final frontier...." Wow!
  8. Howdie fellow coaster fans! My name is Russell, I'm a 28y.o. family man living in Mountlake Terrace, Wa. That's just outside of Seattle. Despite my ancient age I am relatively new to the coaster game. All of rides happened in 2003 and before. My last major theme park trip was in 2003, to WDW/ Universal/ Sea World Orlando. I guess you would call my home park Wild Waves and Enchanted Village. I haven't actually been there yet, but I'm planning to by the end of the summer. My wife and I are also heading to Silverwood at the end of next month! Some Info about me: I spend most of my time hanging out with my wife and kids! I'm a Foo Fighters fan and a big Jud Apatow and Kevin Smith movie fan. I am generally a really laid back guy who has a very sarcastic sense of humor. Ive really enjoyed trolling the forums the last couple days and I hope I can contribute some now too!
