Thanks a lot Robb! Your suggestion is exactly what my wife and I were feeling. I think we'll visit Busch Gardens on Wednesday and visit Disney Animal Kingdom on Thursday. Thank you again for the insight, it was really helpful in deciding what we will do. -

No I have not. This is my first time in Florida so I don't know what's there to do around that area. -
Right off the bat, without even taking a tour you can already walk through the Kangaroo enclosure and the Aviary. You can pay a small amount to feed them, but it's not even necessary to be able to pet them. Otherwise the Safari is pretty cool, gets you really close to some of the less dangerous African animals, and you can feed some of them too. It's pretty cheap at $19. I've never done the nighttime one, but it looks like a great option! The coaster tour is fun if your into that. Why thank you! We would love to pet and feed animals and I know some of their experiences are a little pricey. Thank you for the heads up!

I'm traveling to Tampa to next week with my wife and I wanted advice on the "experiences" Busch Gardens offer. My wife and I love to interact with animals so we were wondering what does the park offer in terms of maybe handling, feeding or petting animals at the park. I wonder if anyone here has done any of the 'experiences' they offer on their website and what you thought about it. Thanks in advance!

You just made my day with the words "no traffic!" We are just looking for anything fun and enjoyable to do. I think we would like to visit at least one more park and see any other fun attractions located in the vicinity. -
Hey there guys! My wife and I are traveling to Tampa, FL from Tuesday Jan 21st (arriving at 5:40pm) until Friday Jan 24th (leaving at 2pm. We are planning to visit Busch Gardens but we're still indecisive on what else to do. We are renting a car so we can travel a bit but we're not sure how close are any parks or attractions you think we should visit. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Beautiful trip report! Seeing all the great stuff makes me even more excited to go later on this month. Thanks again for the awesome work you both do! -
I've been to SFMM for the past two years for Black Friday and I'll be there tomorrow as well. From what I've seen it's always been a good day to visit the park. It's not completely empty but you don't wait too long for the rides. I would say maybe a 25 min maximum wait time on the big attractions barring a malefaction.

Great trip report you two. My wife and I are thinking about heading out next month to both parks so it's great to see all the beautiful sights the park has beforehand. Thanks again for the update! -
TPR Readers! NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!!!

Yea, I can see how hard it would be to balance the time in between slides so the video won't be as long. I did have to speed through the first couple of slides but I guess I got used to it and kept up. Other than that, I really enjoyed this new slideshow trip report. -
October 12th-14th Cedar Point/ King Island Trip
Crazy4Coasters! replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Ask Alvey
Thank you all for the advice. I did forget about the 3 hour difference when we land. I'm pretty sure we'll be so excited for our trip that we'll "go all out" and go to both parks. My wife loves road trips anyways, so I pretty much going to be her chauffeur and drive where she wants... I mean where we want! LOL! Happy wife, Happy life!!! -

I haven't been to a WCB since 2009. Jumping now to 2013, I had the opportunity to bring my wife with me and we both left with great memories and new friendships. Thanks again to Robb and Elissa for putting on an event that really brings joy to others. Thanks again to Corey, Danielle, David, Brittney, Big Mike, and Kathy for unforgettable time we enjoyed together. We left with a huge smile and we can't wait to do it again next year. I leave you with a picture David took to end our perfect night, enjoy!!! -
October 12th-14th Cedar Point/ King Island Trip
Crazy4Coasters! replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Ask Alvey
I really do think we're just going to do Cedar Point, but I won't be surprised if the theme park bug bites us and makes us cram it all together. -
Hey there Robb and/or Elissa My wife and I are flying from Los Angeles to Detroit and we're arriving in Detroit at 11:35pm. We decided to fly to Detroit from LA because the flights were cheaper than flying to Cleveland. Recently I just learned that Kings Island is about 230 miles away so that's making us lean into making this a 2 park trip in two and a half days but we don't want to be too tired to enjoy Cedar Point with all the driving around. The drive from Detroit to Kings Island is around 3hr and 40 mins so I know I won't have the energy to drive after we arrive at the airport so we would have to spend the night. From the directions on goolge maps it says it takes the same time to drive from Kings Island to Cedar Point. So even though it would be great going to both parks it looks like it my be a hassel and physically draining to be driving across Ohio in two and a half days. Seeing that you and your family have done countless trips over the years, I wanted to ask for your personal opinion about trying to cram the two parks in such a short time for our first time traveling to the midwest. Should we just cool down our jets and just make sure we enjoy Cedar Point on good rest, or is it possible and worth it to try to cram both parks in that time frame? Any ideas, thoughts, or advice on anything would help because our trip is 36 days away. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

My advice is to stay at Breakers Express. The rates really aren't too bad, it's Clean, Comfortable, and close to the park. You will also receive 1 hour of extra ride time in the morning if you stay there, on select rides. If you can swing it, I strongly recommend Hotel Breakers, even in the Bon Aire section (older and slightly cheaper). There is just simply nothing better than having your hotel within about 300 feet walking distance to an entrance of the park. And if you're planning multiple days, I really strongly suggest it! (and get a Fast Lane pass!) Thanks Robb! I really don't want to drive form Cleveland to Sandusky so I'm pretty sure we'll stay at a hotel close to the park. I will for sure look into that! I never bought a Fast Lane pass but because I want to get the most out of our trip I'm pretty sure we'll get one for that day. Thank you for that reminder! -
