  1. I know the supports are filled with sand, to make the ride quieter, so that may be it.
  2. Cool video bro. You make the coaster look like so much fun! I personally love Silver Bullet and you just made me plan my next Knott's trip with that piece! Keep up the good work! Too bad Xcelerator was down when you went. Love that ride, too. Ghostrider? Well, I'd rather ride Thunderhead, but its the best woodie within 100 miles...don't nobody say nothin' bout no Colossus, I'm already about to fall asleep.
  3. Thanks! Glad to get some positive feedback. Laurice's camera ran out of batteries kind of early this trip, so hopefully our next TR will have more slutty coaster shots for all to enjoy.
  4. This was my last Saturday before the school year begins, so Laurice and I decided to add another notch to the old credit bedpost and hit the inland empire's beautiful family fun center, Scandia. It's mainly a minigolf place, but they did have a race track, a batting cage, bumper boats, some flat rides, and a steel triple out and back called the "Scandia Screamer." It is the biggest Miler coaster ever built, I think. Its also rather rickety, a bit rough, and lots of fun! Overall, we were impressed with this little park. It was well groomed, the water wasn't dyed a funky blue or green (or red! seen it!), and the staff was friendly! And for $22 we got unlimited everything, all day!! Holy crap thats classy! That being said, I doubt we'll ever be back. Its kind of far from Los Angeles, and for a bit more money, we could hit KBF or SFMM for much better thrills, and similar quality bathrooms. Totally worth the credit though! On with the pictures!! And thanks for reading! Thanks Scandia! We'll probably never go again, no offense! After that last race, I was pretty pleased with myself. Laurice says "I like race cars!" Zamperla! They also designed Pony Express! At least they're consistent in ride quality! This is a poopy ship swing. Its sluggish and doesn't go very high. Three times around! What a nice ride op! Lift-hill centerfold. Not a credit (for me), but what a well-landscaped coaster! One more credit? (hope hope hope) Heck no! I rode the Sceamer! It's a harrowing experience, to say the least! Its a jumbled tangle of steel! Or is it a jangled tumble? It doesn't matter! Ah, Ontario, you take my breath away. We're not worried at all! Now THAT'S a warning! The Scandia Screamer, my 44th coaster!! Nerd? Yes! Gangsta? Clearly not. The park is actually very nicely landscaped! Too bad the little mermaid is a slut, huh, honey? That's my, "where are my sunglasses?" face. Scandia, its like Scandinavia abridged. Not a great entrance, but the coaster is running, so who cares? Isitrunning?Isitrunning?Isitrunning?Isitrunning?Isitrunning?Isitrunning? Eat your heart out, famous circus trees of Gilroy Gardens! We were paid in burgers. Before our trip to Scandia, we were asked to speak at the graduation ceremony for the class of 2008.
  5. I like that batman is painted so brightly. Its been grey as long as I can remember at SFMM. Nice TR, keep it up!
  6. ^I see your point, but a different ride is a different ride. If you rode both tracks on the Matterhorn (and were counting credits), you'd call it one credit, right? What if you only rode track A? Would you count it as half a credit? That just gets cumbersome. As you mentioned, however, you actually wouldn't count in the first place, which may be best.
  7. Launch coasters I've ridden and how I'd rate them. 1. Xcelerator (KBF) 2. California Screamin' (DCA) 3. Montezuma's Revenge (KBF) 4. Superman: The Escape (SFMM) 5. The Mummy (USH) 6. Pony Xpress (KBF) Xcelerator makes KBF not suck, what a perfect ride. Screamin' is the best Disney airtime coaster ever, too bad the music is cheezy. Montezuma's Revenge has a really great launch, but it slows down right afterwards (thankfully, because that loop might hurt otherwise), and the fly-through is awesome. Superman is loud and short, like Danny Devito. The Mummy is only cool because its in the dark, but the launch is weak and its too short. Pony Xpress and its launch are for childrenses, and it hurts my poor Trader Joe's worker back to have that darn rest pushing on it the whole time. Although that could be because Ghostrider had just given me several complimentary spinal adjustments when I rode it.
  8. Thanks Robb. Wacky Soapbox Racers was like the third coaster on my list! I may not agree with all of Jeff's opinions, but I like that one. Wasn't Jeff Johnson the name of Eddie Murphy's character in the Distinguished Gentleman?
  9. If only that were true! I've decided I'm counting it as two. There. I've altered my list. Forty-two.
  10. Hi, my name's Ben, I'm a So. Cal music student and though I've always loved coasters, I must admit that my obsession has only recently taken hold. I'm trying to make an accurate list of my credits, and I'm hoping one of youse guys (I mispelled "youse" on purpose because I like to talk like a construction worker) will tell me that the 2 tracks on the Matterhorn at DL are worth 2 credits, because...if thats the case, then I've actually got 42 credits! And while you're at it, which track do you like more? I enjoy the sudden drop near the end of the right track (track B?), though I think the other track is a little longer. That being said, I'd much rather be riding X2 at SFMM, or Thunderhead at Dollywood. This is the greatest website of all time! Robb and Elissa, youse guys did this to me!! Matterhorn...2 credits...anyone?
