I'm going with two friends tomorrow but is one of us going to have to wait to ride? I've heard that they assign seats for you the first ride but would they pair one of us with a stranger or just make one of us wait? Also, is the new Luna Park a part of Deno's Wonder Wheel park? I haven't been to the C.I. area in a while so I'm not sure if they're connected or separate. Is it worth it to pay for the 4/6 hr ride band or are there not enough rides for that?

Thank you so much for the response. Honestly, this is all really tentative and up in the air, especially since all of us will be dealing with internships and extra courses in the summer. And yeah, I want to spend more time in the parks I haven't been to yet. Dorney, GAdv, and Hershey I've pretty much ridden everything there at least 5 times. Also, I was thinking of doing a really shortened version of this trip this summer, which would include Hershey, Kennywood, and Waldameer. I haven't been to the last two at all so far, and I want to get in a trip to HP this year - hopefully those SDL rumors aren't true but just in case... Anyways, would this trip be doable in two days? I was thinking something along the lines of this: Day 1: Drive to Hershey, spend most of the day there, drive to Kennywood Day 2: Kennywood & Waldameer, stay in hotel Day 3: The drive home Hershey is 4 hours from me, so the drive home will probably be a boring 4 hours. We might hit either GAdv or Dorney on the way home since it's well...on the way. But that depends on how well we're on schedule and stuff I guess. I really don't have any experience with any three of those parks though when it comes to crowds. I just know on a weekday, they tend to be less crowded and I know to check for events in the park that day that might make it more crowded. Is Hershey normally crowded on a weekday? I think I've been there before on a weekday and the lines were pretty short, except for Fahrenheit which was the typical hour. Are Kennywood and Waldameer typically crowded? I know they're smaller parks - Waldameer especially - but do they tend to draw in a lot of crowds? And are the ride ops and operations decent?

A few friends and I wanted to do a mini-east coast tour type thing next summer. We live on Long Island, NY and the parks we were thinking of going to were: (* means I've never been there before) -Six Flags New England -Lake Compounce* -Six Flags Great Adventure -Dorney Park -Knoebels* -Hersheypark -Kennywood* -Waldameer* -Busch Gardens Williamsburg* -King's Dominion* I'm thinking right off the bat that SFGAdv, SFNE, Hersheypark, BG, and KD will all be parks I'll need a day for. I don't want to rush myself - as in I don't want to be scarmbling to get all the credits in and not have time to enjoy the park and re-ride stuff. I was thinking I'd start off with SFNE and Lake Compounce and work my way south. I'll leave Hershey and SFGAdv for the trip home since I don't want to really do a straight drive from VA to NY. One of the most crucial things is pricing. There will probably be 4 of us going and we don't mind squishing into one hotel room at all. The only thing I don't really want to do is stay in a motel. I wouldn't mind the hotels being 30 or so minutes from the park, but more might be a hastle. How much should I expect some of these hotel prices to be? Also, I know Club TPR has some great deals for many of the parks, but there are some parks that I just can't seem to find discounts for. BG and KD for instance. I'm really not familiar with these parks at all but my first instinct is that there's no way BG tickets can be $50+ even with a discount? Anything I should know to get better discounts? Also, I'm thinking of how to group these parks. I was thinking of this outline so far. The ones together would be done in one day: SFNE (drive to Lake Compounce that night) Lake Compounce (drive down to Dorney that night) Dorney/Knoebels (drive to Waldameer that night) Waldameer/Kennywood (drive to BG) *day of rest* we'll probably need it after the drive to VA Busch Gardens KD (drive to Hershey) Hersheypark SFGAdv I'm confident I can do Dorney and Knoebels in a day, especially since most of us have been to dorney before and I know the crowds are usually light.

June 27th This trip was kind of a quickie because my parents asked if I wanted to take the other car and drive up with them. I brought a friend and spent a while in the park from opening till 4 P.M. It was hot, humid, and sunny out but the park was virtually empty, which I'm guessing is due to the fact that everyone flocked to the water park. Is Dorney always like this? Every single ride was a walk on except for the Wild Mouse. Anyways, just coming from SFNE last week, the operations at Dorney were a godsend. They seemed like they were getting trains out really fast and they actually tried NOT to staple you into your seat. They were only running one train on Thunderhawk and even with some rows closed off, they were able to keep the lines down to a minimum. I like the out-of-control feeling that comes from the old-fashioned wooden coasters but Thunderhawk was just painful - I didn't even think SFNE Cyclone or Mean Streak were as bad. Their Wild Mouse was also strangely painful. Overall, we went on all of the good rides at least 5 times before calling it a day. The heat was just awful and we will probably be back later in the summer since it's relatively close to us. This was actually my first time at the park so I'll post my opinions on the rides. Hydra was pretty awesome; it wasn't that forceful but it was incredibly smooth and the heartline roll right out of the station was great. Possessed was another great one. The main reason I prefer it to Wicked Twister is because of the holding break on Possessed on the vertical spike without the twist. It really felt like I'd fall right out. Talon is now one of my favorite inverts. It's not as intense nor as compact as the Batman clones but it really did pack an (unexpected) punch. Steel Force was great too. We rode mostly in the last car and the first drop + bunny hills were fun. Thunderhawk was just painful. I didn't get any air at all towards the back of the train but I got tossed around pretty badly on all of the turns. Wild Mouse was painful too, which is odd because I normally have no problems with the Wild Mouse rides. Mostly coaster shots this time since we didn't experience 7359782857 breakdowns this time. Steel Force didn't open with the park because they were having some problems with it and one of the trains appeared to be stuck on the lift hill. But they did a good job getting it up and running a half-hour later. Here are the pictures : This was just too funny not to upload. Security riding bikes? We saw them throughout the day too I was really looking forward to riding Demon Drop... The cars just sitting in the station The day was hot enough to warrant two rides on the Log Flume. And this is the reason why everyone comes off soaked... Service area next to the ride itself. I guess some of the boats were out of service today How many amusement parks have a Rita's in them? THIS WAS AWESOME! I guess this is the storage area I'd love toknow if this is a prop or not... odd lift hill until next time, Dorney...

June 22nd This is the first time I went for a serious visit to SF New England (the first time I went with my family and it was more of an afternoon quickie). I was incredibly eager to get my first ride ever on Bizarro. I have to say though that this was probably one of my more disappointing experiences at an amusement park. When we first got there at opening time, we made a beeline to Bizarro and waited around 20 minutes to ride the front. Little did we know that that would be the shortest we would wait for any ride all day. The second time we waited in line, the ride was experiencing some downtime. We decided to wait it out even though we were pretty far back in the line. It was pretty sad that the line moved much faster due to people getting off than it did when the ride was running properly. They got it running and we ended up waiting a total of 1.5 hours. Our third ride was when things got...interesting. The ride broke down again but we waited it out. Fixed in 10 minutes. We're in the station and the ride breaks down yet again. We wait it out again and they fix it. Then they close down the ride due to inclement weather, despite it not raining and the sun starting to shine. I know the weather policy isn't the park's fault but I'm a little confused why Bizarro has so many technical problems. Also, when we first got on line for each ride I could have sworn they were only running one train each and I was really impressed with how fast they were dispatching them. Then I realized they were actually running two trains extremely slowly. We even thought Cyclone and Batman TDK were closed because we didn't see any trains running on them for so long. Some of the ride ops were really fun but they just did everything SO SLOW. I would say Bizarro deserves its #1 title though. It was an amazing ride and I wasn't expecting much from the twister/helix section but it was intense - there was even air time when the ride changed directions! The drive home was harrowing though. I'm kind of wondering if weather forecasts are ever actually right. The whole day was forecasted to be partly cloudy/sunny with a few "showers" at night. We ended up driving back home in torrential downpours and lightning. I've driven in some heavy rain before but never anything like this. I even needed my friend sitting in the front with me to tell me if I was in my lane or not... We ended up stopping at a McDonalds on the I-95 to wait it out. You would thinking that a McDonalds with a "Drive-Thru" sign would have a drive thru, but I guess not. Unless it was really cleverly hidden. But we got soaked running inside to get our food Maybe someone can tell me when the best time to visit this park is? I thought we'd be in the clear on a Wednesday in June but I guess not Here are the pictures. Not too many coaster shots this time Gotta love NYC-bound rush hour traffic FInally there after a three hour drive. Too bad the entrance is so un-photogenic We got there before opening, but unfortunately not early enough to beat the crowds The main reason we're here Seriously wicked first drop, with Mind Eraser in the foreground. Too bad it sucked crap Joker's Wildcard and Bizarro. Not really sure what I was going for here some seriously twisted track I think what this is try to say is "Bizarro is the #1 rated steel roller coaster...IN THE WORLD!" It should REALLY say "60 minute wait from this point when ride is run efficiently. So today, 90 minute wait from this point" Only $2999! Interetsing...wonder how they enforce this... Not sure what this is, but it's awesome Pandomonium! waiting in line...this was seriously the 2nd longest we waited for a ride, just behind the no-go, failure of a two-hour wait for Bizarro. This is really one ride that should NOT have flash-pass oh hey, stalker caught us on the ride Ride was more forceful than expected, but still not worth the hour wait I actually really enjoyed Cyclone. It's the fun kind of rough and there was plenty of airtime and the last row was insane whoa, where'd she come from? So this is the second time Bizarro broke down while we were in line. The pictures that follow are the result of our boredom and frustration, so bear with me or skip them haha "...must have at least two legs..." hmm, kind of hard to fit three legs in the train when Bizarro barely has enough room for 2.. After the third time breaking down, they tested it once then shut it down due to approaching storms Empty queue after we got the bad news Here at Six Flags New England, you also have to wait in line to leave the queue area! ...seriously This picture doesn't really do the situation justice but it was near impossible to see out of the windshield. We were all on high alert here

Which Coaster Gives The Best AIRTIME???
JDo217 replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't tell you what the best coaster for airtime is since I haven't been on every contender but I'd say El Toro has some pretty awesome air. The back row is intense but the first car has some of the most intense airtime I've ever felt. The first two hills and the one right before the twister finale are ridiculous from the front car. Bizarro is good too and has some great all-around airtime. The ejector air on the hills is less intense than El Toro's but the great part about Bizarro is that virtually every part of the ride has great airtime, even at the top of the helices when the ride changes from banking left to banking right, etc. With El Toro, you either have super intense airtime or super intense twists and turns, but not both at the same time. Bizarro has both in the twister/helix finale but to a lesser degree In the end though, it's all about your personal preferences -
This summer I plan on going to as many amusement parks as possible for a college student on a limited budget. Since I'm already documenting this via facebook, I figured I'd post the pictures here if anyone is interested. I've only done two trips so far but hey, summer's barely started! Anyways, here they are: June 16th - Six Flags Great Adventure June 22nd - Six Flags New England June 27th - Dorney Park July 12th - Coney Island/Luna Park August 7th - Six Flags New England & Lake Compounce August 14th - Kemah Boardwalk --- June 16th We started are trip down to NJ at around 7 A.M., which is early considering we all live on Long Island, NY. Considerable traffic was to be had on the westbound Belt Pkwy but we made pretty good time, getting there around 9. We had a while before the park even opened so we took some pictures in the empty parking lot then lined up like everyone else to get into the park. I still can't believe six flags has metal detectors...I've never seen them at other parks but I might just be oblivious I was a little hesitant about the day because I wanted to get the most out of it and weather.com had forecasted a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms all day. But lucky us, there was no rain all day and the park was virtually empty. Every single ride only had lines in the station except for KK, which was a 15 minute wait. The ride had a few minutes of "minor technical difficulties" just as it was our turn to ride but they fixed it really fast. I don't remember Ka hurting so much entering and exiting the top hat though; my thighs felt like they were being brutally crushed by the restraints I was really pleased with the operations at GAdv. I usually think of Six Flags as less than stellar in their operations and efficiency but they were spot on. Trains were loaded quickly and even when they took one train off El Toro towards the end of the day, the line never left the station. Batman and Superman were down for the entire day, with no signs of testing. Bummer because even with all of the times I've been to GAdv, I've never ridden Superman... Anyways, here are the pics: We're finally there! Either Ka is falling or, more than likely my friends just can't hold a camera straight Parking lot shots. The dilemma is that we could never get the 4 of us all in one shot without bothering someone. But seeing as how there was no one around, it didn't matter yeah, none of us were bored at all... How original. Bizarro! This ride was literally a walk on so we rode it a couple of times, once in the front row (even for that there was no line) whoa, that's a long way up... Even when it was Medusa, I never understood this... wicked first drop I;m sure all the riders are happy, even if they look like they're in pain Empty El Toro queue :o From the overpass to KK's station. There's actually a funny backstory to the picture: we literally took around 5 minutes to get this shot. When we got to the station we were next in line when it broke down, so we would've been stuck on the launch pad. okay, maybe not that funny... Terrified to get on Riders stuck ont he launch pad while the ride was being fixed "REALLY? It WOULD break down just as we're about to get on" Bummer... yay for having your rides up and running six flags! If only that red monstrosity would disappear, the shot would be glorious.. woohoo! fun ont he parachutes. It was actually a LOT scarier than it looked one of the best rides in the park still and no line too! it was kind of hot so we decided to hop on the log flume. Little did we know the last drop was complete with water guns and showers... no wonder we had an audience watching us as we passed by -_- The only possible reason to ride this would be for the AC, which we happily did We actually got our picture taken by the Kodak guy and bought it bc it was the only picture of all 4 of us Skyline. Until next time, great adventure...

Well I'm officially going to SFNE tomorrow. I'm happy the forecast changed - it'll be partly cloudly all day tomorrowwith a high of 87. I'm a little nervous for the lines though. I know it's a weekday and as a rule parks are almost always less crowded on weekdays but Im thinking the generally nice weather might mean more crowds. Hopefully everyone will be at the water park while we're enjoyng the coasters though :o
-
Thanks for the responses guys. What worries me is that Tuesday and Wednesday have forecasted isolated thunderstorms. We're kind of driving a long way and will be kind of annoyed if we won't be able to ride anything. But I know weather forecasts sucks; I was at GAdv the other day and even that day, the forecast was 60% chance of tstorms and rain but it was basically sunny/partly cloudly all day. Go figure
-
I'm going to SFNE for the first time next week - either Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a few questions: 1. The weather forecast says scattered thunderstorms for both tues and wed. I know it's early in the week and the forecast is likely to change but I have heard some horror stories of the park shutting down due to incoming rain. Is this going to be a problem? 2. If I'm going on a weekday next week, are the crowds going to be big? I went to SFGAdv this past wednesday and there were no crowds at all. Hopefully the same can be said of NE 3. Is the park generally safe? Again I have heard some stories/reviews of how the crowds can be extremely rude and intimidating. But I know I have heard a lot of the same thing about GAdv and haven't really had many problems with the people there. Thanks
-
^Oh wow, thanks for that - I didn't even know about club TPR. I checked out the deal for SFNE and it's $15.99 off general admission. If I buy tickets directly from the sixflags website, I would save $10/ticket. But I think the $40 membership fee offsets the discounts. I know Club TPR might be better in the long run but usually, I can find equivalent deals at local stores and stuff (ie the buy one get on free at mcdonalds, etc). I think I'll wait a little longer before deciding what to do. Someone on TPR must have some idea about places offering coupon deals. Ordering through sixflags.com wouldn't be the end of the world - I just want to make sure I won't buy too soon and regret it when I find a better deal later ^^ Sadly, that would probably be me then they wouldn't have anyone to drive back
-
I live two hours away from SF GAdv and my local McDonald's has discount buy one get one free tickets. But I'm planning on going to SFNE next week and it's a 3 hour drive. I'm not going to find the buy one get on free tickets around here obviously. If I stopped at a McDonald's around there, would we be able to get some coupons? Any people who go to SFNE regularly want to shed some light on this? Also, I and the group I'm going with are all in-coming college students and we really don't want to spend that much money in the park, what with the over-priced food and such. Any tips other than "bring lunch/dinner with you"? I'm receptive to that but I know most of my friends won't be
-
So I just went to six flags today and it was probably the most enjoyable trip I've ever taken there. There's were no lines at all, except for KK which was around 20 minutes even though the line was filled to the 60 minute point. There was supposed to be a 50% chance of showers all day with 60% chance of thunderstorms after 4pm but they never came! We were pretty thrilled. I rode El Toro 4 times - once in back row, once somewhere in the middle, and once 3rd row + once 2nd row. I think the 2nd and 3rd row were probably the most intense rides I have ever gotten on Toro but I've never waited for the front. It was practically a walk on each time, except for the end of the day when they only operated one train. But even then, it was a 10 minute wait and the line never backed out of the station. S:UF and Batman were closed for the entire day. I'm not sure what the reason was but they weren't even testing them. We got to the park at opening and the closed signs were already there. I might post a separate photo TR later if I have time
-
I'll be going this wednesday and spending an entire day there with a few friends. I live around 2 hours away (1.5 if traffic is good) and will be leaving around 6:30/7 am. Should I expect the park to be crowded? I live in NY and I know most schools around here are out already, but finals are still ongoing. Not sure about NJ. More importantly, I wanted to take a ton of pictures of the coasters in the park. Are there any spots I should know about where I can get some awesome shots? Also, are there any rides I should get on if I want to get some better shots (ie skyride, etc)? Lastly, is the safari experience worth it? We're only considering doing this if we get there super early and the park isn't open yet. Do you literally just drive your car through the safari area? I'm going to be the one driving and I don't want to do anything I can't handle

Thanks for all the comments guys And yes, the hyper is heavily influenced by EGF but I don't call it an exact recreation b/c it isn't. I find recreations way too restricting given RCT3's pre-made parts and grid system. Anyway, I found a little time to work ont he park today Down and around the lake Bet you can't guess the inspiration for this ride -

thanks I haven't had much time to work on the park recently but I'm trying my best -
I'm a bit too lazy to put captions the pictures but you can view the full thread over at the atari community forums if any of you have an account there. Enjoy

I'm not really familiar with Greyhound but I googled it and it's definitely cheaper but I'm not sure how the schedule is gonna work out. There's one that leaves Penn around 9am and arrives around 1:30pm at Hershey, which I guess is doable. The return trip is where it gets weird though. I could leave from penn and go directly to the Hershey, PA stop but on the return trip, it looks like Harrisburg is the closest departure site. But the depart time was 11:45pm abnd the arrival time was a whopping 7 hours later at 7:45am. Hmm...I'll definitely keep searching Greyhound though
-
Right so I might be going to Hersheypark on the 26th with a friend since we've got the extended weekend thanks to Yom Kippur. It's only going to be a daytrip. We're both 18 and she can legally drive but obviously her parents might be uncomfortable with her taking the car some 3+ hours away. I have no confirmation yet on whether or not she's gonna be able to drive but I figured we better start thinking of alternate means of transportation. The first thing I thought of was Amtrak. It's not the cheapest option but it's pretty fast and definitely better than flying, which we will not be doing. Being that I live on Long Island, I can easily take the LIRR train to Penn Station. I've still got a 10 trip pass that's barely been used so both of us would be covered. From Penn we'd take the Amtrak to Harrisburg and I'm pretty sure we could catch a taxi to the park from there. 1) The fare is $90/person roundtrip. The most confusing thing about amtrak is that I can't purchase roundtrip tickets that depart and return on the same day but I can get two one-way tickets that are the same price ($45 each way). http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak/FareFinder?_tripType=OneWay&_origin=New+York+-+Penn+Station%2C+NY+%28NYP%29&_depmonthyear=2009-09&_depday=26&_dephourmin=0700&_destination=Harrisburg%2C+PA+%28HAR%29&_retmonthyear=&_retday=&_rethourmin=&_adults=1&_children=0&_infants=0&_searchBy=schedule&x=22&y=7 Above is the departure. I'm thinking the 7am one is good. http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak/FareFinder?_tripType=OneWay&_origin=Harrisburg%2C+PA+%28HAR%29&_depmonthyear=2009-09&_depday=26&_dephourmin=1800&_destination=New+York+-+Penn+Station%2C+NY+%28NYP%29&_retmonthyear=&_retday=&_rethourmin=&_adults=1&_children=0&_infants=0&_searchBy=schedule&x=3&y=8 Above is the return trip. I'm thinking 7:05pm is good. It's a transfer though from what I can see and I've never traveled Amtrak alone before so I'm a bit hesitant but I'm sure it would work out for us 2) Anyways, this is slightly on the expensive side. $90 just to get there, $50 more for the tickets, and then more for food. I'm just not entirely sure how we're going to get taxi service from the park back to the train station? 3) From experience, can anyone tell me how crowded the park would be on sept 26th? It's a Saturday and also the only day of the weekend that the park is open, let alone a 3-day weekend for some 4) Can anyone suggest other means of travel for me? The only other thing I can think of would be bus service but I'm not entirely sure how that works or if I could even get one from NYC to Hershey Hopefully some of you guys can help me out, thanks

Photo TR: Hersheypark - Sept. 5th Labor Day Weekend
JDo217 replied to JDo217's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Thanks guys. Here are a couple more shots that I forgot to upload last night ...LR again. The awesomeness that is Lightning racer. Taken from the Kissing Tower I believe Aesthetically speaking, the Boardwalk area is a visual masterpiece. Realistically speaking though, the lines were absolutely horrendous all day -
I went to Hersheypark this past Saturday with my family and a friend. Despite the fact that it was labor day weekend, the wait times for the rides weren't that bad even though the park was pretty packed. We started off the day at 6am and it took us about 3.5 hours to get there. Someone needs to remind me to go to Dorneypark sometime because I live pretty close, which I just realized. I think it's actually only 1.5 hours away from me (Long Island, NY). Anyways, I won't bore you with my spiel - onto the photos then. Hope you guys enjoyed this. Took me forever to resize the pics and upload. I uploaded to imageshack then saved the image to my computer from there. Please let me know if there's a faster way. As i said, this is my first TR. I don't usually take that many pictures at parks and have no idea where to stand for the amazing shots some of you guys have, not that I tried to hard to get any I've also got a ton of pictures from my visit to Cedar Point this summer. Hopefully I can get those up soon Thank you for visiting Hersheypark! We went for a night ride on SR. The station was even MORE packed this time if that's even possible. At least the wait was about the same though. Last row again for us and it was absolutely amazing. Everything seemed 1000x faster at night Sidewinder. We opted not to ride it since I had a nasty headache after the last time I think this is supposed to be the Boardwalk+Fahrenheit but who knows? I will now present to you a crappy trio of night shots. It's a pity my camera doesn't do these too well because I could've gotten some awesome ones from the ferris wheel LR with the lights on. I didn't know the they had lights on every part of the track :o We settled down after dinner in the park with a ride on the Ferris Wheel. The line went sort of slow but we weren't complaining - we had a full stomach of Nathan's to digest! CHOCOLATE FACTORY! At least, I think... 2nd ride on SR we had around a 30 minute wait, which we gladly took. We rode the very last row and found that it was about 1000x more forceful and intense and fun. Seriously, the airtime we got on the tophat was insane, even by El Toro standards Did I mention that the park was packed? As I said, the park was pretty packed but at least the lines were decent Nerd shot! No TR is complete without one of these The Cobra Roll. Beats me how it made it PAST the Norwegian Loop but valleyed in the Cobra Roll on opening day ?_? Norwegian "that looks awfully like a pretzel" Loop Nice overview shot if I don't say so myself Yikes! That's a lot of twisted track Vertical goodness in all it's glory 97 degrees! Fahrenheit at last! Actually, no. We waited until sunset to rided this. The line was a little over an hour (which is not bad by any standards - I'm not complaining about that) everytime we checked and we just said "Hell no!" to waiting in the unshaded queue with the sun directly overhead. Obligatory Kissing Tower pic More of the area. I think Great Bear was one of the worse waits we had at HP. Our first ride of the day had a little under an hour wait. The line itself wasn't that long (only about 2 of the switchbacks in the main queue area filled) but it moved horrendously slowly. I was a little disappointed at how slow the ride ops were going, especially since there were about 6 of them in the station and the sun was sweltering in the back part of the queue. The night ride was absolutely breathtaking though The pre-drop helix and one of my favorite parts of the ride. A good overview of the area Vertical loop sweetness. GB is pretty much THE smoothest B&M invert I've been on so far. No head banging, rattling, or traumatizing whatsoever, and I rode it a fair number of times too. Is that Great Bear I spy? Next stop was Lightning Racer. Needless to say we got a walk-on. Figures the one time we rode lightning we'd lose. Both sides had full trains too. Anyways, Alyssa had a pretty hilarious (for me, at least) experience with this one (and Wildcat too for that matter). She had a bit of a nasty tit problem where they kept smashing into the lapbars and she had to shield them by wrapping her arms around herself. 'Twas hilarious but unfortunately I didn't get the picture. Needless to say, she's not a fan of wildcat and LR (practically a sin) ...and again. More SR goodness. This time from the Kissing Tower POV. This really gives you a good idea of how much taller the exit of the tophat is than the entrance. Great Bear meets Coal Cracker meets SDL: that's a lot of steel! Good thing the fish were big because the geese/ducks/whatever looked more than capable of washing them down after a hearty meal of Hersheypark corn kettles Caution: some people in the park won't be able to get over this bridge I don't even know what this is called, now that I think of it Flying snake dive goodness I'll humor Intamin and call this the "Cobra Loop" First stop: Storm Runner! We entered the actual park around 11 and were pretty surprised to get a virtual walk-on SR. We sat row 7 or 8 I believe and got a pretty intense ride, although our other 3 rides on this thing were way more intense (and better) You can just taste the chocolatey goodness now. Although we did have a debate about whether that was real cocoa paste or just brown paint. Anyone wanna answer that one? Gabby, Harmony, and Olympia wish you good day at Hersheypark!
