  1. The park is located between New York City and Philadelphia so one is to expect some of this "thuggery" you speak of.
  2. Demon Drop is an amazing experience for those who have never ridden a 1st generation Intamin drop tower. I agree that while Talon is an awesome, fun ride, it isn't worth traveling for.....Especially when Hershey is an hour down the road and you can ride Skyrush, Stormrunner and Fahrenheit.
  3. ^ I remember Steel Force being "all the rage" as a young kid. Seeing it in person was very, very intimidating. This was of course pre Nitro so there was nothing else like it in the region. I can't really see them ever removing it. When the park is crowded (rarely, usually every leap year) Steel Force still pulls one of the longest lines in the park. Depending on what they would put in its footprints they could possibly lose more then they gain.
  4. Tried getting artsy with this one.
  5. The people don't know any better. Especially locals, anything that is 200 feet in tbe air is likely to draw crowds no matter how mundane it is. Edit: Yes I find it interesting how Mangnum has managed to become timeless. Too bad they can't all be great.
  6. Steel Force, or as I like to call it "Steel Forceless" is actually the worlds largest mine train. Thats my fun fact for the day. But seriously, this ride aged immensely since it has opened. Time has simply passed it by.
  7. Twister is reallt amazing, it gets overlooked often because of Phoenix (Can you blame it for that?). But yes I will now refer to Twister as "Lateral Fest: The Ride".
  8. I'm still very salty about not getting on Black Diamond. But I am not salty about having to go back to this wonderful place to ride it.
  9. I can see why people think Talon is gassed up only because its surrounded by everything mundane (Besides Possessed and Demon Drop). But I for one, think that Talon is a great coaster. As I've stated before, I love Inverts. Now, is it Montu or Alpengeist? Not even in another dimension on its best day but it is still a great coaster. It has great forces along with being re-ridable. Also I like the fact that it doesn't kill you with inversions. I find it vastly superior to Great Bear.
  10. I was making a comparison of how different row 1 is than the rest of the train. Even if its a row off from the front its painful. And btw I prefer "Justino"
  11. I rode Kingda Ka in car 1 row 2 and it still beat the ever living hell out of me. I still love the ride cause the intensity, but I had a slight headache after.
  12. I've never ridden Diamondback, but Nitro still has some kick to it. It had great floater air today.
  13. For those we didn't know Snapchat has a Jackson filter now. I had my best visit in a long time at Great Adventure tonight. On arrival at 5pm we headed straight to Joker. There was about a 7-10 min wait for it. At this exact moment I knew it was going to be a good night, the park ended up being dead. Joker is a really great addition. It was my first 4-D and I must say its a really fun ride. Me and my friends did nothing but laugh the entire ride. Next we headed over to Nitro. It was a station wait and we hopped in front within 5 minutes. We then followed Nitro with some Batman which was running like a dream as usual. My friends and I then trecked across the park to ride Kingda Ka, which rattled the hell out of me and Toro. (We wanted to ride Zumi somewhere in-between but my friend chickened out. We finished the night with Bizzaro, Mine Train, Joker again and Nitro once more. Below are a few pics I took. Edit: We also ran into El Toro Ryan tonight. He placed a cup filled with water on Toro's first car and said he'd send it around with us for an experiment but it was really someone elses drinking water.
  14. You are my hero. I thought I was the only one who had this opinion of Deleware. Edit: How about upstate New York. There is Great Escape and Darian Lake, don't all jump at once.
  15. Yes, and it should be. But why waste your time at Hurricane Harbor when you could be riding El Toro? Lol Agreed. Unless you're dead set on going to HH, it is very skippable. Remember you could riding a great collection of coasters.
  16. Thanks to the fact of a no student day in the NY board of Ed, No students tomorrow + no after school program + 2:20 end time = Six Flags trip. I honestly can't wait. Haven't done much riding this year work and grad school has really gotten in the way. Can't wait to get my first spin on Joker.
  17. LNM is a great legacy to Arrow, we are all thankful that it is still around delivering great rides....Hopefully for many more years to come. Everyone knows there has been a purge of Arrow coasters the past couple years so I like to savor all we have left
  18. Dominator is far and away the best floorless I've ridden.
  19. ^ Yes, I realize coaster rides are subjunctive. I also agree that B&M inverts are vastly superior to B&M Floorless coasters. I actually find the first drop to be one of the better ones I've experienced on the 5 floorless coasters I've ridden. I tend to get some airtime on the drop, especially the back. I don't know, maybe I just enjoy the non cookie cutter layout found on most B&M's.
  20. For some reason, I haven't been on Talon and Hydra in a while. I do plan on riding them tomorrow though also Possessed, Trust me, I ain't talking about Hydra. Have a great time on Talon & Possessed though! Aw come on now, Hydra isn't all that bad. (I never get why it gets such a bed rep)
  21. Quick question, its been awhile since I've visited KD. How crowded do you guys think the first Saturday in July would be?
  22. Awesome, I was excited that this was being added. Busch always has great food which is an added bonus. I heard the Mediterranean station had Lamb, so I'm intrigued.
  23. Its been awhile in this thread. Has anyone checked out Marco Polo's yet?
  24. Not as bad as Morey's. No single riders on the flume, super annoying.
  25. Making the annual trip with Genx24 on Saturday. Looking forward to it. Even with a stale coaster collection I still enjoy visiting once a year to get my rides in on Talon. The flume and Demon Drop are exceptional as well. Stay tuned for a PTR Sunday.
