I'm finding it very wierd that so many planes are, within this past week, suddenly landing w/o their landing gear properly down. And then, in most instances, the plane crashes and/or catches fire, and lives are lost. The latest "skid," happened over at Halifax, Nova Scotia airport today or yesterday. No landing gear, the plane skidded and flames started erupting. But - the passengers were all evacced with no major injuries ... or deaths. They were lucky, compared to the others.

Well, from everything I've read here, that'll be one credit-to-be I won't mind missing.

Well, since it's near the end of the year....
How's our little Scream Machine doing this season?
Where it was located, at our 1986 World's Fair. Beside a giant hockey stick.

He was one of Vancouver's most prolific, activist, artists in the city. And he passed away on Christmas Eve.
Bless you always, Joe.

Now listening to CBC Radio's annual holiday presentation ~ Joy To The World.
With one hour performances from several cities in Europe, and then back home, to Montreal.
It's a wonderful listening experience "for the season."

^ Ah, progress.
By the way, your last name "sounds" like how others pronounce my last name ..... Houghton. Had to let you know, lol!
We pronounce our name as 'Howtn'. Emphasis on the first syllable.

I will be so glad when Part 2 opens next November, and all the SPOILERS will be revealed, AND I can hopefully find out why what I asked about (see the near-bottom of page 243) .... happened in Part 1. Sorry to be vague, but there are people out there who still don't know the musicalΒ in it's entirety, and this movie will be the only time they actually see WICKED.
P.S. I do know that the entire musical is one big flashback, between the first scene in Act 1, and the final scene in Act 2.
-
^ Ah, okay. But to me, it still asks the question about "why are they with her in Act 1" in that shot? <hugs>
-
^ Bert, I have to disagree with you, about the "do not appear at all" in regards to the stage musical. One of them does show up, on a balcony and berates Elphaba for what she's done. To him, and others.Β When she actually saved all of them, somehow. They do appear, if only briefly.
-
Been wanting to ask this, since we just saw WICKED last week...
NO SPOILERS here, but - there is a shot of Dorothy and The Gang (w/Toto, too!) on the Yellow Brick Road, heading towards the city of OZ in the distance.
BUT - how could this be, when Dorothy's companions haven't been ..... uh ..... seen yet, until the second movie, explaining how they come to be.
I really think this is a BIG continuity problem, that should b addressed and explained?

^ Very cool TDL "souvenir", heh. I have seen several re-creations of Tokyo Disneyland rides by different brand names ..... very tempting to buy....Β Then I see what you're getting, and I start thinking ..... hmmm.... cool buy if you get it, Bert.
P.S. Have any of our Tokyo members (and/or TPR members recently visiting there) been to TDL and seen any of the new construction on the new Space Mountain? Just curious how the construction is going.
What new Space Mountain (in 2027) is supposed to look like, when it's ready to open. And they gain a neat plaza, too!

^Pardon my memory burp, but ....
I did ValleyFair in 1976.Β Yep, I was there in late June of 1976. One month after it had just opened .
The first lesson I ever learned about theme park visiting, was at ValleyFair, and it involved the sacred " exit/re-enter hand stamp." I was waiting outside for my ride, hadn't gotten the stamp, and then had 'that feeling,' and had to talk my way into a park washroom, while a staff member accompanied me for the journey. Very embarrassing, but I definitely learned from that event. I always get my hand stamp at parks, even if i don't come back .... 'cause ya never know, hmmm?

^ Thanks! It's mainly an unwritten "agreement," between myself and Mom Nature.
The crocus, as did the bluebells, grew in front and back of our house for years. But, for some reason, I managed to 'coax' both plants to grow only in our front yard, last few years! And the back yard has been left alone, for all the ferns to grow better!Β
The 'nests' (as all the kids call them) continue to be an ongoing maintenance thing. But that's okay. Easy to re-assemble them, once branches have been pushed over, etc. or run thru with dogs, heh.

Lighting packages look awesome on any wheel, in most parks!

^ Hmmm. I didn't see that sentence above the concept art. Or under this thread's heading. But I don't think that's correct.
Because, in one of the few Disney sites I follow, an overview of the area where the new Monsters Land would go was shown, with the coaster`s show building (possibly) being built beyond the Studio`s "berm". And the Animation Courtyard is is in a different location altogether, while Star Tours will be beside this new Land on one side. And Galaxy's Edge on the other side of it.
It's what I've seen from overhead views and descriptions, etc.... So, IMhO, the Animation Courtyard isn't being used for Monsters Land.

It does make me wonder, if they're ever going to do anything with the Animation Courtyard in the future.....

I like all the instruments on the Musical Carousel
The tuba, French horn, and violin (Or cello as you called it. I just think it looks like an oversized violin though, since the neck looks quite short to be a cello, in my opinion)
Noted, thanks.
