^Well, desperado isnt a head banger....its a hip banger. Just because there are no OTSR doesnt mean it cant beat you up! CB is really quite good.

Ride SPEED: The Ride at the Sahara, excellent ride.
-
I just got back from vegas and re-rode some of the rides like I do when I go. Speed is by far the best ride, but its short and kind of a rip off. CB is good. Desperado is a ways away (30 mins +) but there is a nice outlet mall out there. And I mean, comon, Desperado...who has THAT credit! Not many! I think it had a great first drop and awesome bunny hops. It will beat you up though. The ONLY reason to go on Manhattin Express is for the "twist and dive" element. And $12.50 is pushing the value of that element. P.S., If you choose to ride Desperado, check the operating times and dates. It doesnt operate every day of the week, and sometimes only in the afternoons.

Well, I'm not going to rate rides because most of them are decent to good. Its kind of overload, 16 coasters and so little time. Rides you MUST try to get on: X (absolutely! it isnt the best ride in the park, but I think its an experience you wont find anywhere else) DEJA VU (insane speed and ride "drama") VIPER (my personal favorite, jerky, but really fun, ride front or back row) My advice to you, and my personal method that seems to work is start at the entrance, and go immediatly back to DEJA VU. VIPER, X, and GOLIATH is where everyone will go in the morning. So hit DEJA, and then do RIDDLER REVENGE, BATMAN, SCREAM, GOLIATH....see how long X is, if its short, ride it, if not, try VIPER, then go back up the hill to NINJA and SUPERMAN, and make sure you have time to be in the end of the line for X. Psyclone and goldrusher arent the best, but goldrusher can be quite fun. -
^ Yeah I read that earlier. I have never been to SFMW and I was hoping to ride that before it's gone for good. However, that doesn't seem likely anymore I've heard Roar is running really well after a thorough retracking and off-season maintenance.

I've heard Zonga, Kong, and V2 were closed on opening weekend at SFMW. Obviously Zonga isnt going to open for a while, if ever, but has anyone heard about Kong or V2?

This ride has the potential to revive magic mountain into a "theme park" as opposed to a semi themed amusement park. We all know X, DV and scream failed in the theme departments, whereas Ninja, RR, BTR, STE, Goliath, Viper and even Psyclone all were very good atempts at themeing, even if not well received. I just hope if this ride is themed heavily it will be maintained as such. Goliath's queue is pretty carved up at the bottom of the stairs.

even if they retrack PSYCLONE, it still doesnt fix that first drop...if you ride in the back(which i always do on every ride) its horrible going down the drop becuase it jerks right about 5 feet into it. if you are in the front its hardly noticable because you go so slowly through it, but by the time the back of the train gets through it, it gets really jerky.

^hahahahahahahahahahhaha seriously folks, if you plan on partaking in a forum, you cant just walk in and start spouting out things. please take the time to read through ALL 85 pages. yes it seems long but i bet half of these pages are because people burst in 5 weeks after track shows up saying "OMFG, THERS TRACK AT SFMM!!!@dGALKSJDFLAJDALJFLASKJ" the ancient romans and greeks may not have always had a record of discussion in their forums, but we do here, so please follow along if you are posting. i cant wait to see this baby lit up at night! perhaps there will be a dive loop coming out from the top of the waterfall and twisting over toward revy??

Wouldn't that be grand? they kinda did that with SFGADV with the golden kingdom KK is in, with the tiger exhibit. I dunno, from here what the fudge these guys are up to! [retard voice]maybe it's a second water park!!! [end retard voice] but anywho, we'll just have to wait till the 2006 season to find out shall we? Well California already has SFMW which is kind of an animal park, so I kinda doubt another one will go in. Also, that piece of land isnt that big to put a lot of animals, but i guess its a possibility. Then again it could be just clearing of debris cuz its wildfire season. OR, they could be putting in a new parking lot, adjacent to the main gate, then remove the old one for further park expansion.

concrete takes 28 days to reach maximum buildable strength according to the Portland Cement Association (PCA). SO when you see em poured, wait a month and the track will start going up. ALSO, cement is stronger when it dries in a humid climate as opposed to an arid one. They will probably wait a while till the moist air returns to the SCV in november and december.

the hill is NOT THAT BAD guys. It would be nice if there was a several sets of stairs near superman that would take you up there. The superman side isnt as high as the rest and slopes down. i will be there tomororw...ill see what i can see, but i probably wont take a camera because i dont want to carry it around. it will be ineteresting to see if anything monumental has happened becuase the park has been closed all week as its the off season now.
