Cruising with Theme Park Review - Feb 2011
sspaz1000 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Either A or B. A is nice because it shows the whole ship, which is something I'd go for in a magnet, but B has the stats on it, which I also like in a magnet. So then it's all about fridge space? Do you want something that will take up less room to add more magnets too later, then go with B. But if you aren't worried about magnet space, then go with A. ^ Chroniq, I had to go out and analyze my magnets on my fridge to come up with this post. Magnets & postcards are usually my souvenirs from parks. -

July 17th, 2010 So I kind of forgot I started doing this. What better way to beat the winter blues than make my trip reports, better late than never. In July, I decided to go to Great Adventure. I convinced Laurie to take along with me since this was also the last weekend for the Great American Scream Machine. Yes, in all the times in years past, I had never been on GASM until it's last weekend. And it may have been one of the hottest days ever as well. I've never spent as much money in a park for water and soda as I did that day. Onto the pictures: The sign also tells us that this is the last weekend for GASM. Self portrait to start the day. See I'm really happy, and not at all bothered by the heat. Sign. Loop. More loop de loops. Sign. I'll be honest. I was kind of scared of this. I had only ridden Time Warp at Canada's Wonderland, before. But I really liked this. More Superman UF. More GASM. Pretty Flower along one of the pathways. I know lots of people dislike Kingda Ka, but I enjoy it. Roar. I kind of felt bad for the guy in that heat. See even the real tigers didn't want to do anything. El Toro, I see you, looking awesome over there. This guy was utterly hilarious. We had been in line near him when Kingda Ka went down. (we had been like 3 trains away from riding). The down time started to get to him, and he started praying. Then he was on the train before us, and it hit him what he was getting into. Starts screaming Praise Jesus. He gets lots of looks, and laughs. He goes on his ride. Comes back shouting OMG the thing ever, thank god. He saw us as we were walking towards El Toro, and said to us "praise the lord for an awesome ride on Ka." He's the type of guy, that was just genuinely having fun at the park. I had to resist the urge of my inner child and point out or grab the bulls balls. Rolling Thunder. Still haven't gotten this credit yet. I have a feeling my back couldn't take it. El Toro in all is sexy goodness. Sign. It was ungodly hot by that time. I didn't get too many pictures of Bizarro. Same here. Batman being all cool. Nitro stuck. Finally I had gotten the Dark Knight credit. Slightly underwhelming, but it was the people who made it worth it. The two guys in our car, were all like, oh this is a wild mouse, it's crap, and talking tough. The noises that came from them after it whipped around one of the turns, was worth the wait in line. Another shot of Ka. No photoshopping the sky there. It looked like rain as we were leaving, which was fine by us we were so hot and exhausted anyway. Coaster skyline. I just like this picture of people and some airtime. Unplanned shot of both coasters on the lift hill. Last but not least, I bring you my "love" bruises from Kingda Ka. Being short, I tend to hold my arms a little differently on the ride. And it kicked my ass. But I'd still ride it in a heartbeat. Sometime within the next couple weeks I hope to get up Lakemont, and Delgrossos, then Hershey. -

I've been here since 2007, granted I was petrified of the sense of humor here back then. Then I realized that life's too short, and I need to have fun. And I started posting. It's really sad that people need to tear down other people because they had been idiots previously here. It was no fault but their own that they had been banned. -

I told you this on Facebook, but I seriously can't believe people were being that a$$holeish. TBH, I didn't even notice what was in the first picture that started this whole thing. It really sucks that this day and age, being nice always gets us good guys screwed over. Hopefully, this will work out for you. -

Fantastic TR guys The Burj Khalifa looks amazing. I'm sure I'd probably have a minor panic attack in the elevator on the way up. But those views are amazing. The UAE, looks fantastic, and I'll definitely be looking out for the future TPR trip there. -

I'm so confused now. I always think I have some sort of idea then it goes right over my head and it is no where near what I even first thought. -

Very interesting! Does it also have to do with the fact that it was supposed to be done at Disneyland Paris but that fell through so they used it at DisneySea instead? -

Something to do with a Journey to the Center of the Earth. Which is also a Disney Ride at Tokyo DisneySea. -

Far fetched guess here. Tower of Terror II at Dreamworld in Australia. 1. It's got some records. It's not in the number 1 spot anymore, but I assume it might have when it opened, or it holds records for stuff just within Australia 2. The Force, still don't know if the Force is a clue or Sir Alec Guinness but if its Guinness it could tie in with 1. and records. 3. People stated it's the movie the International, which is why I said Australia. Which is also where TPR happens to be going in March -

Did at one point any of the Batman roller coasters (ie like the one at Great Adventure) have a record or anything? That would go with deathbydinn's use of over and over again. As for Obi-Wan, I could say they are a force to be reckoned with, but I'm sure that's not the case. And I can already tell this game is going to be way over my head. -
