Wow. This ride gets better and better the more you ride it. Everyone please hold your first judgments until you ride it about 5 times! Its like great music vs pop crap, it might not be catchy at first like pop, but when you hear it a few times it is kick ass awesome! The rain rides were awesome, makes the entire end of the ride totally different! Texcoaster was creating a graph of all the seats he has ridden in and making notes. There is one particular seat, row 5 right side, that did something to me in the first drop that no other seat has done to me. It took me totally by surprise since I had ridden the coaster at least 12 times by that point. I'm sure Texcoaster will post more about that! Hope to see everyone out there tomorrow. I doubt the ride lines will be too long even on labor day weekend, but we'll see. Thanks to all the Kemah staff who have treated us so well in the past few weeks and the bonus ride time tonight was just unreal! You guys are running a top notch operation and it shows! -GG

Signs are up as ypu all know. They are still finishing up some safety issues and if things go well they want to be open this evening. The attitude by most here is "Hopefully tonight" however some of my contacts have reassured me that right now they are expecting tonight. Things can still change but it really looks good for today. Dont call in sick though, it will be later tonight! GG

I doubt the ride height restrictions will make any difference, it is 48" like most of the other bigger rides at the Boardwalk. If it opens before school is out it may not be too bad but last I heard it might be evening/night before they get it open. If it is raining off and on it might not be too bad since people may stay away from the boardwalk. Otherwise, this is labor day weekend and the boardwalk is going to be packed so I expect decent lines. My understanding is it will be open all next week during the weekdays all day too, so the lines when school is back on Tuesday and everyone is back at work shouldn't be too bad during the day hours. This is just my guesstimation. On the other hand, the rain tonight should keep the bullet flying! -GG

I don't rate coasters because its been far too long and far to few a coaster rides for me. I'll leave rating it and reviewing it to the coaster veterans, all I did was post some comments about it. I'm actually REALLY interested to see what they say myself for the reasons above. I'd like to know where it sits and what I should expect in the future from other coasters. -GG

About 99% chance it will be open tomorrow. It might be in the evening but it should open at some point. Look for now open signs to appear on the billboards throughout the night and tomorrow! As for airtime, the back car gets a some floater on the first drop but nothing spectacular. The front car gets a lot of ejector airtime, around 8+ moments and they seem to last longer in the front car as well. The ride is fast, doesn't loose much speed at all. The elements go by so fast that just when you hit an element and realize it your are into the next. It will take many rides to know what is coming next, and maybe more to even realize it! This thing really is a bullet, you get a real surprising sense of speed never really an idle moment. Someone mentioned this might be due to the fact that you are surrounded by wood in close proximity the entire time. The front row on the first train is pretty tame but the second row is noticeably more jerky. The back car is the one that gets pulled around everywhere and you feel it the most but I doubt it will persuade anyone from riding it consecutive times in a row. Can't wait to ride it all day long tomorrow! -GG

I'd certainly call first. They were still running tests earlier today. I agree with Jason. I would be surprised if it is actually open unless you have confirmed with kemah themselves. They were supposed to start training ride staff tonight if weather permits, I seriously doubt it is open to public riders. I'm pretty sure they still have one more inspection to go as well, but otherwise that is about it. -GG

*IF* everything goes *as planned* it will be opened this weekend for Labor Day That IS NO OFFICIAL word by any means, but I have spoke with the other people here that have been following its progress and we have come to the conclusion that this is a very solid possibility now based on all the information we have received/gathered. Nobody at Kemah has stated this and until you see the Now Open signs on the billboard I doubht they will say anything at all. -GG

Everything everyone has said previously is what I have heard as well. I doubht it will be a soft opening on labor day, the place will be packed and I expect the billboards to be changed to "Now Open" by Saturday if things go as planned... Lets all pray to the coaster gods that everyone goes right at this point! I spoke with about 6 people who rode the coaster. As expected, everything was very positive! I asked about airtime and the guys that rode in the back said it had tons. The video I took today shows the train going as fast as it has gone over the first and last big hills - unlike the last few videos posted where it was barely making it. The track has been greased and the wheels are broken in now, its running to spec and should be a blast! If I have time Ill post a small clip of video showing it take those two hills now. As stated in previous posts, they still have to run it about 90 hours with the dummies so don't go out there expecting a 'suprise opening' before this weekend, at which time it wont be much of a suprise! -GG

Track work appears to be complete. Apparently they are checking over the trains (especially train #2 which everyone saw was considerably slower in the later videos) to make sure everything is OK there. Other tests will continue throughout the week along with all the inspections needed to get it opened. *If* things go without any hiccups we could be riding mid next week... -GG

Looks like progress is being made in the troubled track area as I saw steel laying around the tracks. Additionally, they are building a small shack near the entrance of the Bullet, perhaps a new midway game stand, and there are now black bars and decor around the ticket booth which will form the lines. I said a few weeks ago that labor day looked like a no brainer but now I'm a bit nervous about that. They still need to re-run and pass the instrument tests then run it for about 3 days. I hope it opens before Lone Star Coasterthon, would suck if it opens that weekend!
