And the later hours of the night.... This photo was taken around 6am, a little while before I got ready to leave. Check out the difference from how I looked 8 hours previously... :-\ Never mind, one of the best NYEs ever! If you read this far, thanks! ...and dancing drunkenly with the half a dozen or so people remaining. Finished up the night having a heart to heart with my friend Ali (AWFUL picture, quite intoxicated by this point)... ...before he returned just in time for us to do some impromptu karaoke!! ...Mark and I took over the decks for a while so Wayne could have a well-earned break... ...there were Meat Loaf impersonations... So after that, I had some drinks with these fine people... The only thing that put a slight damper on my evening.... Dave was being a miserable little git, check out that pout. We ended up having a minor argument and he stormed out. Once he'd gone though, the night picked up again.

New Year's Eve: Big ass party in the pub as usual! Ended up being a long night, I got to the pub around 8ish and didn't get home until 7am New Year's Day. :shock: Pretty much documented the whole lot so... Enjoy! Once again, me being my shy and retiring self. Get a couple of drinks down me and I instantly become a camera whore. Naturally, being the shrinking violet that I am, i wanted no part in the fun and shyed away from being the centre of attention.... Umm.... Wayne, resident DJ, being generally crazy and getting everybody up dancing. Me and Rik. I managed to pick the nicest backdrop in the pub for this photo. *eyes roll* I swear it was about a hundred degrees by this time... Which is why my hair got tied back. No clue why I'm showing every tooth in my mouth here. This was the state about half the people there were in by about 1am. I had a little more class and managed to hang on another 5 hours or so before reaching this stage. Dave and Rob shortly before midnight. I think I can see the alcohol starting to creep into effect here... Everyone looked very dapper tonight, including Rik and Georgiana, who for some reason always seem to be looking elsewhere when i take their picture. First pic of the night, me and Dave. Would be a nice pic if the idiot had managed to smile. Oh well. ...and funky shoes. In the end I just went for a smart top, black trousers.... The infamous cleavage-enhancing mini-dress? First dilemma is obviously what to wear... Do I go with a smart dress?

Well, Christmas Eve was fairly quiet, as a number of my friends spent it with their families, but a fair number of us still headed out for a few drinks and had a good night. These pics are really late, I had decided save them until I had my New Year's ones too, but it was only today that I fully recovered from New Year's Eve. Those of us who were left at the end of the night. From left to right, Michelle, Chris, Georgiana, myself, and Mezza. My festive apparel for the night consisted of the antlers shown in picture 2, and this blinging homemade jewellery, created by Georgia and myself. Future career do ya think? I look totally wasted on this picture, although i actually wasn't. But me and Chris always have a laugh, booze or not! Two of the prettiest ladies I know, believe it or not. Not my night for taking pics, I finally get Mezza and Chris to pose, and Mez decides to scratch his nose... WTF?! But with a bit of help from his wife Georgiana, I eventually got a smiley pic of Rik! Sort of. Somebody else who apparently doesn't like me taking their picture, as is evident by the gesture. ...and others try but fail to hide from the camera (I'm evil as a photographer). ...although some people kinda got forced into it for the sake of the photo opportunity... Ok, so it's Christmas Eve, and everybody's dressed festively...

OMG, I'm banned? How can you just randomly ban us like this for not doing anything wrong? Just cos you're having bandwidth problems.... Wait, you guys are joking? You mean, not everything you two say is completely serious? Really? Why did I not figure that out sooner....?

Well, it's fairly pointless asking for other people's opinions on this anyway, seeing as it's your room that it has to fit in and your opinion is the only one that counts. Also, the release is almost a year away, the colours they plan to release might change by then, and your opinion will probably change also.

Still having problems with my software so looks like my New Year's Eve PTR might not happen. Oh well, here's a taster anyway, one of my favourites from the night. Damn Dave doesn't know how to smile when a camera goes off! This was taken at around 10.30, way before the alcohol kicked in. We didn't leave the party until gone 6am, so some of the later pictures are a little more disshevelled! :?

There we go Scott, it's not just me that thinks you should just move on and forget about her. Nice guys only finish last if they let themselves.

Thanks! You should see the rest of my collection.... I'm at around 350, not bought anything in a while simply because I can't afford it (treated myself to Red Dwarf VII when i should've been Christmas shopping). The CD collection is at around 500 now. If you saw the whole collections you probably wouldn't think my taste was great, but when you have a couple hundred or more there are bound to be at least a few acceptable titles. And Chuck ^^, Louise, Queen Of Sleaze, it is. :shock:

Well, right now i just feel like a British Hangover Star, this weekend has damn near killed me, and I'm off to another party in an hour! Red Dwarf is one of my favourite shows ever, my brother got me watching it when I was 3 and I used to laugh all the way through even though I didn't get any of the jokes. Our delivery person is female actually (very non-PC of you to assume! ), and yes, it did occur to me that she must've wondered about that... :? Love it. Works better with my full name though, the rhythm and rhyme works better. "Louise, Queen of Sleaze". Must get new business cards made up... And yes, the UK trip is certainly getting interesting, I was thinking I should find a way of getting even with Robb when he arrives, but he doesn't strike me as the type to get easily embarrassed... I'll think of something. Now, how do I convince Robb and Elissa to change my username.... Ooh, I sense a new member title coming up for myself....

I've never known anybody have any major problems with a language barrier in Japan. I always think it's just good manners to learn a couple of basic words (hello, goodbye, please and thank you), or at least take a phrase book with you, when you go to any foreign country. As English speakers we can be pretty arrogant, we tend to expect people to speak English to us when we go to their countries, and also expect their English to be good when they come to our countries, so I think it's just nice to make a little bit of effort when you travel.
