  1. if you want less problems, go with an ATI, considering that is what they built the game for, and some invidia cards have had some problems, other than that, your on your own
  2. just curious, why you don't eat wendy's does it have anything to do with the whole finger in the chili thing?
  3. She had a good time, with the exception of the Falling star, of course
  4. Well, my wife can really cook, when she wants to, which isn't to often these days, I got a walmart cake for my birthday, happy birthday to me
  5. Well that cake was decorated by my wife, and she wasn't trying at all, you should see what she does when she tries Yeah, here's last year's
  6. Alright, well my daughter wanted to have her party at Cliff's, being cheap, we had the party at the Water Monkey park, which is $8.50 per person, as opposed to $20 per person for the whole park. I worked out really well and we had a great time, the staff is pretty good, and helped us out alot. The first part of the day was spent setting up, kids running around the water park, and doing the birthday thing, with me escaping a few times, once to ride the Rattler and the new Falling Star, and a second time to ride the new drop tower, the Cliff Hanger(which scared the piss out of me and reminded me why I don't usually care for drop towers), I rode it twice After the party, we packed up the car and reentered the park, and rode some rides, we were a bit tired at this point, but had some fun. Anyway here's some pics We had the Party at Cliff's Water Monkey's (Elissa, "What's a water monkey?" We finished up with the Log Ride, and the Galaxi, we were tired Mom and Mickey, spinning very fast, and a lucky shot by me Don't worry, she recovered and was haming it up on the Kiddie rides in no time ..and it is officially to high for Mickey Oh man, that thing does go pretty high We had to talk Mickey into going on the Falling Star, She said it was to high, yeah whatever All the new rides were operating, including the new Drop Tower, the Cliff Hanger It was way more crowded than last time we came, (see archived Cliff's trip report) Getting ready to blow out the candles, yeah. BTW the one in the middle is Mickey We did bring the Baby, which is why the Rattler is not really featured, that and the fact I has to run away to ride it Happy Birthday Mickey
  7. No they haven't, I'm am certainly no Nintendo Fanboy, but they were #1 for quite a few years. The Revolution will be competive graphics wise, ATI, and IBM are creating the chipsets, but I'm sure its more about cost effective power, than blow you away specs. Again, the PS2 is the weakest current generation system, the Dreamcast does stuff the PS2 cannot do, but the PS2 has the best games. According to the presentaion from Nintendo at E3, the Revolution will be much easier to program, cutting time for game production, come with wireless controllers, and be WiFi enabled, with nintendo not charging anything to play first party games online, so online play will be free. It is backward compatable with the Gamecube (woopie), and if you are connected you can access every nintendo game ever made for any of thier home systems and play it on the Revolution. All that and it will cost at least $100 less that the Xbox 360 or PS3. Some of you may be to young to remember, but there have been plenty of super high powered systems to come out over the years, and everyone of them priced over $250 has failed horribly Now again I am not a Nintendo fanboy, I do not own a gamecube, or a 64, never bought one, and never will, but the new system has my intrest, we will see how it plays out, and I doubt anyone will be able to tell the diffrence between Xbox 360, PS3, or Revolution, cause thats the way it is now, and no one cares that PS2 grafix are not as good as Xbox
  8. I know there are probably tons of these out there, but it sure freaked me out a bit. Cliffs has two waterslides, one Green(not as popular), and its fun but the Black Slide(line is usually three times longer than the green), is certainly more thrilling, as you cannot see anything, you are complete darkness the whole slide. I went on the Green one, then had to stand in line to see what the fuss was about. Its a bit freaky when you fly through a turn, and never saw it coming Best pic I have, sorry, but you can see the green slide, and a bit of the black one, and the raft return in the middle
  9. Hmm, she has been reluctant to let me buy those things, great tip Thanks, yeah she is DYING to go on a roller coaster, we will be going to Magic Mountian in July, that is her reward, she will be able to ride the coasters, we are going to Cliff's today for my daughters birthday, but she cannot ride yet, she's a little bummed
  10. I have a six year old step daughter, she can get on some coasters, she is looking foward to her bitrthday at Cliffs Amusment Park
  11. The revoulution, with all its capabilities, and it will be the one with the lowest price tag if you are all wowed by specs, the PS2 is the weakest unit available today, and it has handily won this round so if the revoulution comes out with a lower price tag, a new great mario and zelda game, nintendo could make a great comeback
  12. well if he is anything like his sister, it will take awhile
  13. yes, wait untill you are ready, babies are alot of work, sleep for us is at a premium
  14. I had a son, Stephan What an adventure this is going to be We are still on for going to Six Flags Magic Mountian in July, but we will leave on the 10th, and stay for a little more than a week, have family there, it will be fun leaving the hospital yesterday Stephan with his eyes open
  15. Awhile ago the station for the Rattler was a Haunted House, that was taken out for a theater, then of course became the rattler, I guess they left some of the track all this time, but the exact dates I do not know
  16. Well it looks like we will be pushing our trip to California back a few weeks, and be there early July actually, we will leave on July 5th, arrive that night, and leave a week later on July 12th. We basically have wednesday through Monday to go to Magic Mountain, I was wondering if there is actually a less crowded day of the week, our days are flexible right now, but we will be going around that time frame thanks
  17. I found this, I know its old, but it offers some hope that Cliff's could move and really grow I got this from the Loops So the Rattler is movable, they have some seriously prime real estate right now, the Indian Casino's are getting Huge around Albuquerque, and they have tons of money to invest in a theme park, why not Cliff's
  18. Ah man, I live in Albuquerque and someone actually comes here and I don't get to meet them, damn, next time drop me a line, I currently have $13.95 coupons for Cliff's, but only for the month of May. Anyway, good to hear you had a good time, yeah the Rattler has held up very well, and Cliff's has a great maintance dept. I have not been back since opening day, and I can see that they now have the drop tower up, and I have seen the Falling star spinning, I'm not sure if they are just testing it, or if its actually running. next time PLEASE PM me, not to many people make it out this way, and if they do, I would be more than happy to meet up with them. Yeah, Albuquerque is in the desert, but it is not as hot as most people think, its probably "hotter" right now in San Diego than in Albuquerque. Let me put Albuquerque in perspective. The highest tempature EVER in the city was 107. Don't get me wrong its warm in the summer, but hardly ever gets to 100, it get DAMN cold in the winter though.
  19. Well I have been there, but it was in 1989, so its been awhile, but my favorite ride at the time was star tours
  20. They also got rid of the Octopus ride, or whatever they were calling it, but are putting the drop tower near Water Monkey Adventure. The paratrooper is a classic, but if I had to choose between that and the falling star, the falling star wins BTW coaster1 did you get those pictures I emailed you, I sent them and never checked to see if it worked
  21. CSI, LV I just recently started watching, and its on like everyday
  22. The worst movie ever was not released this past year. The worst movie I ever saw, and I MADE myself sit through it was Pluto Nash, Starring, and I use that term lightly, Eddie Murphy Every Aspect of that movie sucked, HARD!!! Here's a portion of the review in the New York Post Was it that bad, in a word worse
  23. I wish I had a great story, but its realy very simple first name is Chris last name starts with P. then start scool with many other kids named Chris, and I bacame Chris P. or crispy
  24. Gary Hays is more than the park Manager, he is the owner, looks like you made a diffrence, but man they really need some more pics, and you should hear the lame radio ads, they have one of the best coasters in the world, and its not even mentioned in the ad
