  1. Looks great. Nice pics. Atlantica Supersplash looks great. I love how they just decided they'd built a boat to go next to the ride. Just for the sake of it.
  2. It basically diet pepsi for men who don't want to be "seen" buying diet pepsi. Extreme Taste. No Sugar.
  3. Is that really totally possible to have the shoulder restraints not lock but the ride to continue. Had the girl not just imagined the restraints felt loose and decided she'd scream like a tosser?
  4. The family market can be massive. I went to Light Water Valley on a Sunday once in about may last year and I was expecting it to be dead, but it was full of family's and young adults and they had to open the overflow car park. I was really surprised.
  5. Last October I went to Alton Towers and for the first time decided I would ride in the front. I personally didn't think it was worth the extra wait. It's nice being able to see infront of you but after riding so many times in the back it seems such a let down. The turn before the loop was really crazy. You could feel the rest of the train still coming up behind you as the front lost all momentum. Was weird.
  6. For anyone who has been to both US and UK parks; do people queue differently? From what I gather in the US people continue queueing at any loading bays they want regardless of it being empty or not. While in the UK you get into the station and stay in the queue until the loading bays are emptied and then you move into which bay you want. Once these are all taken people stay in the queue and continue to do so until the bays are emptied again.
  7. I'd be mortified is I paid £60 for my family to get into American Adventure as well.
  8. Are you in the know or did you just make that up? I figured GPS would be far to inaccurate for such a small place. It's not totally accurate and can be out by quite a distance. Especially for a ride with so many cars going about the place. I figured they work like the forklift trucks we have at work. There are metallic strips in the concrete and magnets on the forklift. When the forklift is in place you press a button on the forklift and it will line the forklift into a straight line so you can go up and down the gangways safely without having to worry about the steering coming off centre. Steering is blocked and the only movement you can go in is forwards or backwards untill you press the button. I assumed Poohs Honey Hunt used the same kind of technology.
  9. I'm always surprised how little Port Aventura is featured on these forums. I thought the themeing was absolutely wonderful and it's also a brilliant park.
  10. Oblivion at Alton Towers scared me half to death. I'd been on it when I was younger. But I went last year and my first ride on it that year was the seat on very far side and it really looks like your not going to fit in the hole and just smash into the concrete. I remember just shouting 'FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK' all the way down the drop and then more repeated swearing as I entered the break run.
  11. I've heard about Europa Park being quick on all their rides. I've seen them opening the lap bars on Eurosat before it's even stopped to get everyone out as soon as possible.
