Since this seems to be one of the lower preforming parks isn't it worth just hoping it stay open at this time and isn't one of the next parks to close or get sold off? Of course you want new rides but i hope that it stays hope for all that this is your local park.

Who knows if we will ever find out what truly happens. Sad news all around. Not sure if what ever condition he had plays a role in this or not. Passing out for anyway would bring a lot of trashing around.

They don't have money to build new roller coaster let alone Retheme what 6 or 7 Snoopy lands. I am not sure if all Cedar fair parks have one.

Some of the coaster influencers or what ever we what to call them just have really bad info or ideas and 100% made up to what they went but sell it as facts. They have no contacts in the industry so just feed off each other BS.

It is out of your range but the haunted Hoochie in Columbus is pretty wild and was topped ranked for many years not sure if it still is, then you could go about an hour north to the Ohio Reformatory they do a hunted house inside the old prison. The prison has been on the ghost hunting shows and was used in shawshank redemption more cool to see the Prison then scary.

Siren's Curse is very good. I would say top 3 or 4 depending on who you ask. Truthfully if it was longer would have a chance to even higher then that.

Not to derail this conversation about passes. Seems like i missed something that people keep saying Peanuts characters might be leaving cedar fair parks? I rad that they own the rights till 2030 for now? Not sure if i missed something else.

Most the coaster if not all will close if they have rain. High winds can shut down rides also. Looking at the weather report. Looks like a chance of afternoon storms but nothing that will last that long and could miss altogether. might just have to found a place to relax for an hour or so as it passes.

You can add the all parks dinning plan that is 2 meals per visit. $155. I think you need ten meals to make it worth your time

With the latest video Kings island released today might be a chance the finally do something with the tomb raider building. Could just be a retheme to boo blasters back to Phantom Manor.

If i knew i would get say 10 visit a year then i would really think about it. Season passes, I'm sure you get people who have no clue and money doesn't matter who just check all the boxes and use it 2 times.

Thanks for all that Amy. I would be interested in seeing the numbers over people who purchased the all-Season Fast lane Plus. Hard to see a Family of 4 Forking out $4000 for that.

Basically what your saying is anyone getting a 2026 pass that wasn't a pass holder before should be good at any park the rest of 2025 and all of 2026. My parents are gonna get a gold pass next year as its just a dumb deal to pass up as we spent 2 days a cedar point this year and comes out to the same price as the tickets they got. I was just gonna have them get the pass from the Cedar Point website and go hopefully in October with them, but if not wanted to do winter fest at Kings Island, just trying to keep them from getting denied at the gate.

This isn't helpful but non of the Cedar fairs park and a meal plan like what you have on your pass. So they might change it to the all season meal deal or just cut it all together would be my thinking. Hope they get you figured out soon. Do we think if you get a new gold pass say at cedar point but want to go to Kings islands winter fest that as long as you activate it, that it should work at any parks from now till the end of 2026? Also do we think all parks will have apps or at some point the app will just be a six flags app that you can toggle between parks. I am not trying to fill my phones memory with theme park apps. Would be nice if it worked like the website where you can select a park just from a drop down.

I have tried to have a conversation with people about this. Its like any other time a business buys someone. You need to see what was making money and what wasn't. At some point you don't need 30 people doing the same job you need 2 people to do. Need to stop bleeding money first then make changes to grow. I know people are sad about Holiday in the park being cancelled but im sure if it is being cancelled then it was losing money. I do want to know what the reason for the ride being delayed. Limit spending, Just construction timeline, People want to blame Cedar fairs but the last two coasters had a delayed opening and that was pre Cedar fairs.

I tell people it is typically the busiest time of the year. Columbus Day weekend and like the last weekend of the year draw massive crowds. Like parking lot is full people just parking in the grass. everything is 3 hours longs. Not sure how busy Columbus day is now as a lot of places stop giving people that day off work. But if you can do a Thursday night and Friday trip you can get a pretty less busy park. Friday night Saturday and some Sunday just a disaster. But the vibe over all great.

I would think that one part of it would be a slide like what Kings island got.

I am asking this question here just because the issues Cedar point has been having gets talked about more then other parks. Just trying to figure out what kind of daily, weekly, Monthly maintenance coaster should be getting if any to prevent breakdowns I know each night they all get checked and repaired as needed, and over winter everything is pulled part and put back together. People keep blaming poor maintenance on the rides going down a lot. I have no clue what other things can be done to help with this. MF seemed to run one car part of a day and 2 cars for a few weeks. TT2 has a lot of sensor issues and other rides have had longer issues. how much does heat humidity . play into this. Is new technology creating more headaches.

Maybe Fun Spot will by the Switchback coaster or what ever they call it

I heard Steel Vengeance got struck by lighting the same day the front of the park flooded, If true sounds like the ride will be down a few days. I know its annoying they ask if you want to by a drink bottle but if that's what they got told to do, then a no thank you an move on with your day wont hurt anyone. A lot of cultures fallow rules more then Americans So take that in to concertation as a lot of the food stand and such are brough in most likely on some kind of work visa program. Wasnt trying to attack you or anything just saying. Forgot this wasnt this Cedar point page. One thing i have notice i know cedar point gets a lot of crap for ride down time and some of that is the limits some of the rides push but just seems like across the country more rides have had longer down time. Also Epic Express is over $300 bucks and that is for like 6 rides.

Love that you just drive 6 hours across ohio and skipped Cedar point for now. This is a fun trip that I need to try to do something like it but I really don't need to go back to MA again unless they build something new. Locals have been asking for that for what the last 15 years.
