Well sadly no Air Race, but a Zamperla Volare, Zamperla Junior Twister coaster and a Zamperla magic bikes confirmed. Interestingly none of these are going on the old corkscrew site, that site will be filled in 2014 or 2015.

There are 8 inversions outside and atleast 1 inside, as you can just make out in the above photo. If the "washing machine" element is there then the rumour is that it will take the total number of inversions up to 14. This could be a clue to the washing machine element being there and it revolving 5 times.

There is still a blue square, yes - but on other images posted on other websites, there are pictures which clearly show that there is just an inversion in that position. Towerstimes have removed all news articles that they originally released about the washing machine element. Could you give an example of such a picture???

Alton Towers have confirmed that the ride will open in May. http://press.altontowers.com/news-alton-towers-resort-baffles-the-nation-in-a-baaarmy-hoax-11714 A quote from the press release. "The Smiler will be our biggest and most thrilling attraction the Resort has ever seen and we can’t wait for guests to join us in May and experience it for themselves.” They haven't given a specific day in May but it does confirm at least 6 week delay from the original March 16th opening date.

It's been doing that for a few days now, not just with that link but with the official website in general.

I think that Merlin didn't want the park or ride to be mentioned because this way it generates interest from everyone, not just theme park and rollercoaster fans. Everyone will be talking about it and speculating what it could be about. I think we will see another article in the coming week or so with Alton Towers coming clean and saying it was them promoting their new rollercoaster, and i think the name of the coaster and maybe even the new opening date being revealed in the article. My money is on the rollercoaster being named "The Smiler", i know it seems like a daft name but i think the themeing and story of the coaster will make it make sense. Also the interlocking cobra roll and batwing do kind of look like the smiley face logo. I think the ride will open on good friday, that's what is being rumoured at the moment.

I think thats just the angle that the picture is taken from that makes it look like that, both sides of the Cobra Roll are more or less the same size. Also the bit that's censored looks like it is just an in-line twist which leads onto the the straight leading to the first lift hill. If the washing machine element is happening then it will be after that.

One of the other rides will be an Air Race, and the other will be a kiddie ride if the rumours are to be believed. Have never ridden a Volare so can't pass judgement until i have, but they do look terrible. Am looking forward to the Air Race though.
