  1. ^ I also would love to see Panda Express in the old "Laughing Dragon" building. Of course being an older guy I still miss "Four Winds".
  2. Here are some pics I took in January...
  3. ^ I hope you are right about the coaster count. I would rather have less coasters in a park if that meant better operations. I was hoping someone would have taken some photos/video showing the time frame to bring Psyclone down.
  4. It is very nice to see things taking shape, I hope the trend continues. As for the comment about Six Flags new management knowing how to run an amusement park, I think this is a learning experience for them. Maybe the new Six Flags owners/management will take a look at Disneyland over the past 10 years. Old management let the place go to hell causing attendace to drop. New management fixes the park up to how it looked years ago and attendance is awesome. Many times the corporate world loses grasp of the most simple concepts.
  5. Might be a short video. Remove cables from corners, and push on one end with buldozer!
  6. I as well like the sit down places at Disneyland. SFMM has gotten better: Panda Express, and Papa Johns!! I like the roasted corn stand as well. Johnny Rockets will probably kick butt too. Oh and don't forget Mrs. Knotts Chicken!!
  7. ^ Did you ever go to Sea World Ohio? Nothing like the Cleveland Zoo, two different entities. Unfortunately most of the animal area was killed by Six Flags. I agree with cjeagle35, GL would be in much better shape attendance wise if there was still Sea World Ohio.
  8. ^ Following things at SFMM is like a ride in and of itself!! Last year we had Tatsu, then the announcement the park was up for sale. This year they say they are keeping the park and are fixing things up. Hopefully another negative doesn't follow the positive as it did last year.
  9. Things are definately looking up! Even for a slow day today, Sky Tower was open. Many of the smaller shops that are usually closed on slow days were open. Probably about 4 Jig Lifts were under Ninja getting the track and supports ready for painting. Here are some pics from today: These people were not too happy! They were stuck for quite awhile. Superman was open but had problems most of the day. Guy in tower said this had happened many times today. Wow this is really happening! I like the positive spin on the sign too!
  10. Not sure if they still do this, but in the past they have x-rayed the entire track (on steel coasters) every year to look for stress fractures.
  11. As of my last visit on the 21st both of the trains used for fright fest 2006 were still on the storage rails on Colossus. No reason to take them off yet right? Psyclone is going away, and they always have at least 2 of the Colossus trains out on rehab so there is room to let them sit there. Would be cool if they ran Colossus backwards for Spring Break!
  12. At the park today and took notice of some trees with orange marks on them. This was on the hill next to the Chicken Plantaion (Log Jammer 2nd drop on the other side). I think someone else is working on a trip report so I will hold off on other observations for now.
  13. I would like to see the park sell tickets for people to take part in burning the ride to the ground!!
  14. This is great news!! I am happy Six Flags is going to put some money into the park. I hope this is a sign of things to come for Magic. I would be happy to see no new coasters for a couple of years if it means cleaning up the park.
