Thank you! -
I've read through this thread about 2 times and didn't see anything on this, hopefully I didn't miss it. But, do we get a packet in the mail, or is it something we pick up when we get there? This is my first WCB and TPR event so I'm a little over-excited I haven't been to Magic Mountain since Flashback (years before they closed it). I haven't ridden Viper, X, Scream, Riddler, Terminator (whatever it is called now), Tatsu, so it's pretty much like a brand new experience for me. I read through every trip report and can't wait to see what it's like to be IN the mix rather than on the sidelines. I'm about ready to explode I'm so excited!

I saw a picture with Atlantis in the background. We're doing a Disney Cruise this summer and a stop is in Nassau. Is this water park something we could get over to while there are port in Nassau? The excursion for Atlantis is almost $200 a person. We'd love to do a water park and this looks like something we'd enjoy. -

Turtle House? Is that anything like the Bunny Ranch out here in NV? I've just spent the last 2 1/2 hours going from through evey page of this thread. We are currently looking at making a trip out to Tennessee because of this thread! You guys have spent so much time putting all this together and it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you! We can't wait to visit Tennessee! -

24 Days of Theme Park Review Videos!

This park looks completely awesome! Who would have thought to build a park with nudity and bathroom references EVERYWHERE! LOL Favorite Video so far! -
I know this was asked of Rob, but I would like to answer if you don't mind. My wife and I took our first Disney Cruise 2 years ago. We did not have our daughter at the time. We were thoroughly impressed and are going again (with our daughter who is 1 1/2) for Christmas in 43 days. Let me tell you what we loved: We loved the cafe that was adults only We loved the adults only pool We loved the games at the Pub We loved the Club that was adults only We loved Palo (adults only) We loved that even though the ship was packed with kids, it sure as hell didn't seem like it We loved that even though we are huge DISNEY FREAKS, the ship is decked out with Disney in a very inconspicuous way. It isn't over the top Disney We loved the Comedian who did an adult only show Now mind you, we absolutely love kids and going on Disney didn't bother us at all. We do have an aunt and uncle who are very leary of Disney Cruise due to all the children...well, we were happy to say that even though there were a ton of kids, we hardly noticed them. Personally, Disney has done an awesome job creating areas for families, areas for just adults, and areas for just kids/teens. To anyone (who can afford it, we use our Disney Vacation Club), I would say Disney is the BEST cruise line I have been on. On the expensive side, but it isn't your white plastic like most other cruise ships. This is real wood decks with real wood chairs and real class with a TOUCH of Disney. Simply amazing!

Tower of Terror was a disappointment. Especially after riding the one in Florida. They really lessened the themeing all around on this ride. Especially the element of going into the Twilight Zone like they have in Florida. While I am still excited for this ride, Toy Story Mania, I am a little apprehensive at what I have seen so far....mainly the screens with really no other type of immersive scenery. I really didn't know what to expect, but I am slightly disappointed at what I have seen in the video. But, I will not disregard the ride until I've ridden it. It still looks like fun. My wife and I ride Buzz over and over just for the sheer fun of it always being different. I think what it comes down to is we see what Imagineering has done in the past and expect that same lever of imagineering in todays rides. Unfortunately, more than not, they have disappointed (California Adventure). Now, I do look forward to the new Cars ride at Radiator Springs. This should be awesome. Hopefully it won't disappoint. In closing, so as not to end off topic, I think Toy Story Mania will be a good ride. It will pull in a lot of people, get the families involved (which is a must as Disney builds more rides), and give people a chance to enjoy something new. It may not meet my expectations, but, not everything can.

This, therein, lies the problem. Why should we be lowering our expectations of Disney? Isn't Disney the leader in meeting or exceeding our expectations? Or have they lost it? I'm not sure as to how I feel about this ride. Probably won't be able to ride it until next year. But, Robb's comment is one I think many have been asking themselves with the last park and attractions being built by Disney. what I've learned from watching that is that I need to lower my expectation.... It is sad when we expect less from Disney than what we used to. You make a great point Robb

Loved the update! Thank you for sharing. I completlley agree with what you have said about the castle at night. We went two weeks ago and I actually really enjoyed the snow on the castle during the day. At night, it looked as though they just threw as many lights up on the castle as they could and then turned them on. Very gaudy (spelling?) in my opinion. It was more an eye sore.
