  1. ^^ Its not fun to be bullied. It really messes you up in the head. You lose trust in other people and lose confidence in yourself. I was bullied for two years at high school. Eventually, when I couldnt bear to go in anymore, and my parents noticed something was wrong, I confessed. They told my teachers, who promised to sort it out. Did they hell. Now I never was (and Im still not) the violent type, but I can only take so much and I snapped. I flew for the guys. I got my ass kicked. Next day they were at it again, and I flew at them again. Again, I got beaten up, but this time it hurt a little less. I was learning to take the punches, the kicks and the chains. I was also learning to defend myself. Eventualy, after a few months, I was starting to win. As soon as that happened a few times, no-one ever bothered me again. I reckon the bullies did it cos they knew they could get away with it. I was an easy victim. When i started fighting back, they relised I wasnt so easy anymore. Its a sad, sad thing to admit, but sometimes you will only get respect when you stand up for yourself and earn it. It seems scarey and maybe impossible at first, and its a painful process, but sometimes you just gotta muck in and go for it. All the stuff you typed up there, all that anger, control it and use the adrenalin to protect yourself. Just promise you wont turn into a bully yourself. Of course, you could always just learn kung-fu or something.
  2. ^ & ^^, nice tunes. Im listening to VNV Nation - Beloved.
  3. That seems to be a pretty common misconception The Wallace monument (not memorial) is not a statue of Mel Gibson. It is a tall tower just south of Stirling. Its only 130-odd years old, but you do get a good view from the top. AND you get to see Williams actual sword. When you see the sword, you will realise just how huge the guy had to have been. Its not really worth the entry price unless you are very keen though. It is near the trossachs which are gorgeous so it may be a worthy stop off for any visitor heading that way. There IS a statue of Mel Gibson in Braveheart attire at the bottom of the hill before you climb to the monument, but its not a particularly good one and was only added in the last few years. Last time there, I couldnt help but think they should build a mini-bob down the side of the hill.
  4. Just as long as its a proper kilt and not a Utilikilt. Is it a tailored kilt or a proper old school one you have to fold into shape? And do you wear the blades with it? Edinburgh is nicer for tourists, but Glasgow has better nightlife im my opinion. M&Ds at strathclyde park just seems like the place where they decided to dump the stuff they werent travelling with, then had the brain storm of running it there as a fair. I refuse to call it a park. It can kill a little time but coaster wise Scotland is not a good destination. Although it is only three and a half hours to Blackpool from Glasgow.
  5. Hello everyone! Im Scott, and Im Scottish. Yep, I know, handy name. So, Im a former coasterphobe (what is the proper name for someone terrified of coasters?) now turned coaster nut. I was cured by blackpool pleasure beach. I have a heathy love of dark rides too because when i was younger they were all I was willing to ride. Anyway, Im now trying to make up for all those lost years when I could have been riding instead of looking on in a state of mortal fear. I still have a rather healthy fear of heights, but I can say Im a G addict. So, yeah, thats me. How do you do?
  6. Thought I would stick my oar in here. Im sure I remember hearing that the car never even managed to make it all the way round the track until they filmed it. They got lucky when the TV crews arrived. I guess its because the car is so light, and F1 cars can produce quite alot of drag. They are actualy designed to push the air rather than glide through it, if you get my meaning. It is rough anyway, but the reason his head is boucing around so much is because he is strapped so tightly in the car that his neck is pretty much the only part that moves freely. And Ralph was big for an F1 driver so he is really wedged in there. You see the same effect when they are racing. That said, the car does look to be squirming alot on that lift hill. Im a PBB regular since before I could walk and I wont even bother riding PMBO (Or wasted oppertunity as I call it) if the wait looks longer than five minutes. Oh, if you havent noticed my post count yet, Im new. Hello
