  1. Need I say more? This odd individual (very talkative, to every one in the station) thought it was the best ride in the park... You can really tell how popular the ride is by how empty the train is. When I visited last year I left with a Canyon Blaster t-shirt, only reason being that it looks better then that awful Comet t-shirt and anything else they had in the shop. Two. One...
  2. I will defiantly say rough in a good way, it's a whole different story at night the tunnel is insanely loud and the lateral out of the tunnel is crazy. I don't know how this thing keeps it self together when you stop you can hear the up stop wheels still spinning. I have some pictures from this weekend from the Eifel Tower that show it's layout in some places, I'll try to post them. Side note from my own curiosity, I’m planning a trip out to Kings Island/Cedar Point this summer, mainly just for The Beast, is it’s tunnels as loud as the Grizzly’s at night?
  3. No love for Grizzly? Nice TR. No kidding, I was there over the long weekend, I rode the back seat of Grizz from about 9 to close each night (night is the best time to ride it), best ride in the park… it beats the hell out of you but its great.
  4. I was there that day too... it wasn't too bad crwod wise... nothing a Gold Q-Bot can't handle Did you notice how many times Superman broke down buring the day? I think a total of about 30 trains full of people went out all day, the rest were just empty trains. I think the flooding really screwed with the computer system and wiring. I don't think I have ever waited so long for Superman, usually try to go on off days so the wait isn't so bad... and to add to frustration the OP at the top of the stairs just kept piling in Fast Lane people and letting the rest of the line sit, good stuff! We were waiting in line and around 6:20ish the maintenance came and sent about 5 trains before letting people on again. Welcome to last season. Didn't notice it last season, doh From what I saw this weekend, we won’t be visiting SFNE again till some time in the summer there are a lot of better parks to go to in the area minus the aggravation. In March we went out of our way to go to Texas and get our SFI season passes there. /end rant
  5. I was there on the 21st, ROS was running 2 trains, park was PACKED... I think thanks to the Hawthorne Heights \ Cute Is What I Aim For? Concert (lol, wow they are both bad IMO) Has any one noticed on the way to Cyclone there is one of those Six Flags " Wooden coaster history signs" that says the woodie Great American Scream Machine is at Six Flags Over Texas? What?
  6. BTDK is a joke, Hydra has it beat but really any Floorless with a track length less then 3000 feet seems to suck. Medusa east was the first and is still the best in my option; the first 3 elements are great especially the zero G roll.
  7. In March I rode the back of the Texas Giant with a completely empty train, just me... big mistake almost as bad as Rolling Dumpster in the back.
  8. I've been reading these forums for a while but this is my first post I was at GADV in the FREEZING cold this weekend when they opened the Chiller Saturday night. It’s a different ride for sure much smoother and faster out of the LIMs and through the inversions... an improvement in my book but Freeze is still my favorite of all the Premier launched (Jinx isn't that bad either). Some things to take with a HUGE grain of salt, I'm not sure if the ride op was serious or not but he said next time you see Batman running again their will be 4 trains... he said this over the PA system in the station to the whole train. I'll believe it when I see it! They would need to expand the building to build a transfer track system to house 4 trains. I just don't see this happening they have dumped already way too much money into this thing already. Sunday morning I asked a ride op over at Batman the Ride when we could expect the Batman side of the Chiller open he said some time in May. Pictures from Saturday and a video clip of it warming up on Sunday morning attached MVI_0072.avi Video Two One
