Yeah...I've ridden the ride countless times and still won't put my hands up. But yeah I do get what you're saying about the whole "controlled" feeling, but I think it's great nonetheless.

I'm a little "eh" with the whole name...it sounds too much like a name you would give to a ride you made on Rollercoaster Tycoon...I don't really like it. I think BGE has some really bad names for their rides already (Big Bad Wolf? Alpengeist? APPOLO'S CHARIOT???). I think they need to fire whoever is coming up with these names, because BGA has some much cooler names for their rides. And btw, is this official that it's going to be called "Griffon"?

Yeah...I don't think it's going to be an Aquatrax either. Possibly something similar to the new coaster going into Port Aventura...but with the unreliability Cedar Point has experienced with Top Thrill Dragster, I don't see why they would put up with another problematic hydraulic launch. But, I think this definitely will be something no one has ever seen before, and I think that's Cedar Point's strategy right now: Let people see the track, formulate opinions, let people THINK it's going to be something we've all seen before, and then BAM!, something new and different.

So, I've been coming to Kennywood for basically my entire life, and was so excited to hear about SwingShot last year. I couldn't wait until my High School's picnic the day after school let out to ride the new ride back in June, and I was extremely impressed with it. Lots of "it seems really really really really high up" moments with a dash of floater air. A lot of other people seemed really bored with it though...how could this be? So, for those of you who have ridden it, what do you think?

Ahhhh! I'm so excited that so many of you included Kennywood in your lists! Kennywood is so special to me! I've been going there since I was one year old...it holds a special place in my heart (lol I'm starting to sound like a Halmark card).
