I seen that i thought of the Dropzones at the paramount parks instead of SFOG's Acro. So is the Stl acro just a standard second gen Intamin drop.

what is that noise it make when it goes over the top hat. Sounds like a squirrel or chipmunk.

Seem like sometrack has been added to goliath or atleast thats what i heard from Silent J If you look closely you can see the the helix is just a hair short of 540 degress now. No track onsite but supports for the fourth were laying on the ground. The big crane was having mud problems as well. See goliath, Sheikra doesnt get all the love.

Do all the rest of you sixflags parks copy sfog. And you guys talked about us for taking the goliath name. After Dropzone all intamin drop towers all seem pretty much tame to me.

Im in to whatever ill try anything at least once just for the experience. THanks for all the answers but what i meant to ask is, Is it a long commute between the two parks due to traffic.

I have a couple of questions this time. WHats the closest airport to magic mountain How far apart are Knotts and Magic mountain, any decent ways of transportation? Can anyone recommend any good places to stay in both parks area? Do CedarFair passes work at all parks? Whats good to see at socal

Its seems as if the helix is at 180 degrees and could go alittle bit further tommorow but im not for sure how things will work out. Also reported seeing steel taking inside of the park for non-coaster construction. Probalbly station work. Ill get you guys pics tommorow. Dont worry, ill crop the pictures down to a reasonable size unlike some people.

Nice pics coastercrazy. Ive heard from some cnst workers that the helix should be completed in the time range of 1-1/2 to 2 weeks and I heard that on tuesday. So im guessing the whole helix will be done by the end of this week, early next week. ill be out there tuesday/wenesday. For some pics if i get word of any additions.

anything is better than that ride. I rode it once just for the cred and never again.

My favorite would have to be dueling dragons. The only way to make that ride better would be to add mountains and canyons for the dragons to travel thru. Just think about it.

Humdinger was so much better. Why name a rollercoaster with shiny red trains stealth. They should have named it Lil K after its daddy. I still cant come to terms with a mini kingda ka.

Just like last year i guessing ill fly out of town on that saturday, opening weekend @ SFOG, and get my season pass processed. im thinking about heading out to SoCal during my early spring break march 4-12. Any suggestions out there. MM is a must since i have to mark my territory somewhere in that park. Other than that i really dont know what else to do. My budget is pretty open right now.

in that same screamscape article it said that maybe DL can get b&m trains for the ride. Is that possible. The tracks look the same but are they the same guage? Would that make it smoother?

I would go up there but im gonna be up there opening weekend for Voyage and hopefully small line for all the other coasters. sounds fun though.

Since everytime i think about Anaconda @ PKD i get a headache, I'm gonna have to go with arrow. Arrow just looks rough. nowadays with the Vu's, Flyers, and motorbikes, vekoma has gone far away from slc self.

Things dont look so bad down here in the great state of georgia yet. Are prices jumped only $5 after the first of this month from 49.99 to 54.99. The next raise in price is at april 30th which is a pretty typical date for our park to raise prices. I guess thats the plus of not actually being owned by SFI. I hope our prices dont jump that much. Yet i wouldnt mind paying extra for a park I love so much. WHat is disney $70-80 a day. If you ever want sixflags to raise the quality of there parks to "disney" standards to be prepared to pay the price. Even with this increase in sixflags pricing you still get the ability to visit 12 or more parks for free.
