zachclarke2
OK, so, many people have these TR threads so I thought I'd give it a shot. Mine will be focused more on the photographs than captions and descriptions, as I suck at making those. Feel free to not read the ones I put down, they'll probably take away from the report anyway. That's something I hope to work on. Six Flags America - 3/1/2014 (below) SeaWorld Orlando - 4/5/2014 Islands of Adventure - 4/6/2014 Legoland Florida - 4/7/2014 Universal Studios - 4/9/2014 Busch Gardens Tampa - 4/10/2014 Islands of Adventure - 4/11/2014 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit SFA, and while the sun and lighting may not have been ideal, I feel like I still got some decent shots out of it. Go here for a construction update! (higher-res versions of these pictures available here) Anyway, In my opinion, the park makes a surprisingly good first impression. Of course, this impression is completely crushed when you advance further. Looking back at the entrance. I actually spent about 45 minutes sitting in Cold Stone last year after being so fed up with the ride operations and park employees. I must say the air conditioning felt nice in the 105 F heat. I personally hate this ride, but it looks nice with the receded trees. Opposed to Roar, I absolutely love Wild One. It's smooth and has great airtime. Probably in my top 10 woodies. Despite the lack of sun later in the day, somehow I made this picture work. It's my favorite one from the bunch. Joker's Jinx was in the process of being repainted, or at least the supports were. I'm not sure if the track is getting painted. I actually really liked Apocalypse last year. I was told to ride in the back, and I found it to have some oddly satisfying hangtime. Previously Falling Star. I think it looks much better with its new sign and color. One for the control panel geeks. And here's Flying Carousel to wrap it up. Thanks for looking. The next addition to this thread will be pictures from BGW later in the month. Edited April 8, 2014 by zachclarke2
cfc
The entrance and Coyote Creek are the best-themed areas in this park. It'll be interesting to see how the new Mardi Gras stuff looks when its finished.

ajfelice
Wow, great photos! I have never seen SFA look so good in pictures. It actually looks pretty appealing to take a trip down there. Usually the offseason makes parks look at their worst too.
zachclarke2
^^ & ^ Thanks! The park was a mess (even more than usual), but it was still more enjoyable than it is with all of the unpleasant employees and awful ride operations.
zachclarke2
OK, so I lied. The weather was crap both weekends I made it to BGW, so I didn't take my camera stuff in or make any effort of getting photos. But, I am currently on spring break in Orlando, and have tons of photos that I will upload over the next couple of weeks or so. Today has been kind of a washout with the rain, so I figured I'd take advantage of the opportunity and upload some pictures. On Saturday I went to SeaWorld, so here's some pictures from there: (More pictures at higher-res here.) I arrived at the park shortly after noon, went in and immediately started riding the coasters. That's how I spent the majority of the day. Between Saturday and today (Tuesday) I got 9 rides on Kraken, as well as 9 on Manta. I really wish I had more pictures of the waterfront, but I took hardly any for some reason. In my opinion, Manta is the most beautiful ride I've ever seen. The theming is great, and it's got wonderful offride perspective. It's currently my favorite B&M, in my #10 spot. Thanks for looking. Next up is Islands of Adventure.
