okinawaboy11 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 My friend (A very reliable source, I wouldn't doubt her for anything) Went to SFA on Thursday. I did the usual coaster enthusiast thing to do, what rides did you ride etc etc. When I got to HH I asked her if she rode Tornado and all that good stuff. I was surprised to hear that she told me HH was closed. Yes, closed. All day. Now, was it because they were understaffed because school hasen't ended and the majority of the LifeGuards are students? Or is it just SFA resorting to it's old ways. Could someone PLEASE confirm this. I mean...she COULD be wrong. I plan on going on Sunday. I figured, it would be open if it was due to a staffing issue on Thursday. But anywho, thanks for anyone who replies and helps out.
Canobie Fan Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Hmm I was at SFA on sunday and HH was open and PACK'D! Maybe the waterpark is only open weekends for now? I know that SFNEs waterpark only has 2 or 3 things open on weekdays until the full season starts.
okinawaboy11 Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 See, thats what I was thinking. But I would imagine they would keep it open during weedays considering its almost summer break and thousands of schools make there trips to the park in these last two weeks of school for Marylanders.
mforce79 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Website says HH opens daily on June 3rd. I've been there this time of year in the past and seen people wearing lifeguard uniforms working the rides during the week. I thought that was strange, b/c if the waterpark was closed then why would they wear lifeguard uniforms? I asked an operator about it and they said there were staffing issues, and they had people from the waterpark trained to run the rides for this time of year, but didn't give them regular uniforms.
WadeJ Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Gadv and SFA have never had weekday operations this early. They always start with weekends only on Memorial Weekend and then go to 7 days a week during early June. My only guess would be a lack of staff because there are certainly enough people that would go. Esp. in the hot weather we've been having.

OH! Hehe, well that solves it. I just remember last year it was open like random days during the week after Labor Day, then full operation the next week. Thanks ya'll.
