Random PTR:My best friend driving me round in a steam train!

Hello,

 

Well here's a photo trip report of my visit to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway in Kent earlier this year. One of my best friends, Jon, used to work there full time as train driver. Even though he now works where I do, he still volunteers there from time to time and he invited my friend Tom (who I also work with) and me down to see him at work! We had a really fun day - Tom and I took turns riding up front with Jon!

You can't see it so well here, but there was a cloud on the way back that looked like a stick-man urinating! Honest!!!

I do love trains from time to time. We had a wonderful exhibit of full size engines and cars back at EXPO 86, our world's fair 'way back when.' It was wonderful just getting up close to them, seeing how amazingly individual each one was.

 

Such is the way good stuff triggers 'retro flashbacks,' which are good also, LOL.
